I had a great experience at Get Gorgeous! My natural hair feels and looks great… With this dry MN winter and me just not taking good care of it, Tammiesha Roberson did a nice job bringing it back to life! My hair feels soft and shines! The salon has so many other services that I am going to try too for hair, nails, etc… and all reasonably priced. The salon was relaxing. They play good smooth R&B music and the staff even offered me a beverage right after I walked in the door! I’ll definitely be making another appointment!

I’ve been searching for a black-hair-friendly salon since I moved to Minnesota over 2 years ago. I felt like goldilocks, minus the gold part, add unruly, African American curls. One place straightened the ever-living heck out of my hair, but it was drowning in product and felt like Barbie hair(not a fan). Another treated my hair with love and used organic, lovely products that left my hair bouncy and exciting but, without hardcore frizz management, it was back to its natural bush state within a few days. I met the Get Gorgeous’ stylists at the Selby Ave Jazzfest this past summer where I won a grab bag of Sephora goodies for following them on Instagram. I decided it was finally time to give them a chance. My stylist was Tanesha. She was super sweet. Not too chatty, but still super friendly. There was one other stylist, I think it was the owner, then the receptionist. All of them were very nice and treated me like a regular even though it was my first time in the chair. Tanesha did a great job! My hair is bouncy, soft, smells delicious AND it is holding up!!! And the price was pretty reasonable. Only lost one star because the appointment took a bit longer than I would have wanted but I do have a massive amount of hair so I can’t really complain. Major plus: they claim to serve a multi-cultural clientele and they are one of the few shops in the area that I actually believe(check out Hair E Tic as well).
