When I was a kid I remember getting my first take n bake pizza and thinking — this is a failed concept. Why would I buy pizza that is not baked when Pizza Hut sends me baked pizza? What do I know. Years later, there are still several kinds of these places around. I liked the people and the interior of HomeMade pizza — and because their staff were so darn friendly, I wanted to like their pizza more than I did. Its sorta… blah. The crust is the part that I liked the least… a bit on the cardboard side. But, they sent me a sweet coupon and like I said, they were so NICE… I’ll try them again and give it another whirl.

Time of visit — late afternoon/early evening, 12−31−09. I should have turned away as I approached their front door — the volume of their music was so loud it sounded like a dance club inside. But, something made me proceed. Man! It was SO loud in there! Five youngsters«working», and another one seemed to be «just hanging out» back where they put the pies together. Again, I should have turned and walked out. I felt as if I were intruding on their party time. I also felt that with the display of unprofessional behavior/activity that I just might wind up with food poisoning. And I should have turned and walked away, but I did not. I wanted to use the $ 10 off promotional coupon I received from them quite a long time ago and bring home a pizza to enjoy. I ordered a large«Savory Pie» on their regular crust, and added grilled chicken to that, for an extra charge of $ 3.95. What did I get for nearly an additional $ 4? I got 12 small pieces of grilled chicken. There were also several thin strips of red pepper, a few small slices of Kalamata olives, several globs of a chevre cheese, and many BLOBS of «carmelized onion.» These carmelized onions were so salty that I had a physical reaction later that night. Carmelized onions I’ve had in the past have been delicate and sweet. I wonder what this place does to theirs? Although all ingredients were«artfully» arranged on top, I felt a bit cheated. With what I experienced walking into this place and watching the circus clowns as they assembled my pizza, and then being overloaded with salt, not to mention the cost of this pie(which would have been nearly $ 23 without the coupon I had), I don’t think I’ll be going back there. I’d much rather spend my money on really good pizza and a pleasant environment in which it’s made(i.e. Pizza Luce).

Their pizza is tops — had some samples at the Soap Factory and picked up a coupon for a free ‘za and I would have to say it is delicious! Tomato Basil pizza is my favorite and they did not disappoint! Also got the big salad — lots of fresh veggies and greens and my oh my — so tasty! Friendly service and whole wheat crust — why would i ever go back to papa murphys(yuck!)

We got pizza here tonight for the first time. Everything Unilocalers have said about the cleanliness, service, and quality/variety of toppings were also true of our experience. My only complaints about the actual pizza was a severe lack of red sauce and too-tiny pieces of Kalamata olives. I don’t think we’ll be regulars simply based on the simple fact that we spent as much as if we had picked up Pizza Luce’s fully cooked pizza covered in vegan cheese. Homemade Pizza Co doesn’t offer vegan cheese, so we had our pizza without cheese. There is one thing Homemade Pizza Co has that Luce doesn’t though… a «buy 10 pizzas, get the 11th free» card. Nice.

I love this joint. It is clean and the service is very, very friendly. I was so impressed by the assortment of toppings. For example: «I would like mushrooms please.» Their response: «Would you like baby portabello or shitaki?» Wow! You don’t mess around folks.

Simply put, this is the best take-n-bake pizza I have ever experienced. The ingredients are both generously portioned and high quality. The crust is exceptional. The service was prompt. Do remember, this is take-n-bake, but if you are looking for hot out of the oven gourmet pizza for«movie night» at home, you can’t find better.

I’ve been to the Wayzata one but I’m too lazy to find the address and type it in. Anyway, I know it sounds kind of dumb to buy pizza and take it home and bake it yourself. But come on, are you really going to try to make pizza dough? Even the thought of unrolling premade pizza dough from Trader Joe’s makes my hands clammy. Not to mention my counter top is strewn with cat hair so that’s unappetizing. But why not get delivery then? Does Domino’s have pizza with arugula, proscuitto, whole wheat crust and tomatoes? NO. Domino’s only has pizza that gives you diarrhea. You can also buy a giant cookie to bake at home too.

Sparse and clean as a spaceship inside. Nothing on the walls but the menu’s and the stuff required by the state. I like it that way. All about the pizza. Power to the pizza! Whole wheat crust with spinach and sundried tomato and pine nuts and feta. Pear and blue cheese mixed green salad. cooks in 15 minutes. what could be better? Oh, and we ate the whole friggin’ pie. We just couldn’t stop ourselves. Great crust.
