InVision Distinctive Eyewear

Twice I have walked into In Vision, had a glasses consultant look at me, and immediately reach for the frames that, after a half hour of subsequent browsing, I end up choosing.
In Vision consultants know faces and personalities. They have fast turnaround on the lens orders and their lens-​makers can get even the most serious corrections as thin as I have ever seen them (no Coke bottles leave this store). After you’ve had time to wear in your new glasses, they happily adjust frames that are a tad too tight or loose.
They sell high-​end frames. Pricey, and worth every penny.

I was on the market for new glasses and was already on Grand Ave. for another errand, so I stopped in while there. I liked the quaint, artsy atmosphere of the shop and was greeted soon after I walked in. The lady, Sue, was very nice and helpful in selecting frames and seemed knowledgeable about the different designers offered in the shop. The shop carries edgy, designer styles.
I liked a pair that Sue offered and decided to settle with that pair. I had not had an eye exam in years so I decided to have one before I got lenses put in my new pair of frames. Sue was very helpful in setting up an appointment with the optometrist and fortunately, they worked to fit me in to be seen right away.
The prices were reasonable for being a shop that carried designer frames. For having select types of insurance (I have Blue Cross Blue Shield), I was able to get a $ 50 discount and including lenses, I paid somewhere around $ 450 after discount.
The only reason I would not give them 5 stars is because I feel like they had a limited selection of frames.
I am glad that I went here because after much searching at other optical shops, I was able to select and get frames easily and efficiently with great customer service!

Limited eyewear selection and lenses are VERY VERY expensive ($ 220-​$ 280+) for a pretty light (+1.25 each eye) prescription. I do have to admit that they exceeded my expectations for when my lenses would be completed. If you’re in a pinch — they do good work, but the experience seems ridgid and very expensive.

I thought this eyeglasses shop was ok. Most of their frames are pretty expensive, in my book, and I wasn’t wowed by their selection. I’ll consider a spendy pair of frames if the design is really unique and funky but I didn’t think that was the case with their selection.
