Lovely Building. Went to a wrestling show there and had a great time. The seats were comfortable, the concessions were tasty and the staff was friendly. The back story on this place is pretty cool too.

Cheesy and boring show(Knotareel Getaway Cruise) by unqualified to be on stage«performers», okay buffet dinner… Overall — waste of money(even half-price ticket) and especially time! Beware!

I went here for the Real Haunted Theater tour. I liked the tour and thought it was much better to spend $ 20 on an hour tour than a 10 minute run through a haunted house. I love how the staff were really into the tour, the stories and looking out for spooky activities. I’m not sure if it’s like this for all events, but we did not get a confirmation email when we ordered tickets online and the PayPal reciept doesn’t say the theater’s name.

This is a beautifully renovated theater and gets good shows for a bargain price. Most plays are under $ 20 a ticket. They also do screenings of the Rocky Horror picture show on a regular basis, I think on Saturday nights. It can be a rough neighborhood after dark, I’d stay away from Paul’s next door, especially if you are alone or just with your girlfriend. Mound’s Park Lounge is a little safer, but you have to walk past Paul’s to get to it. If you want to try the ultimate dive bar go to the Beehive on Forest and 3rd, a few blocks away. It is a beer and wine bar that is always completely empty because the alcoholics in the neighborhood only drink booze. They have couple pool tables, an awesome jukebox and darts. The beer is cheap, but only drink it out of a bottle because the kegs go stale before they are empty. I’m not kidding when I say that this place is always completely empty. The only reason that it is open is that the bar is completely paid off and the owner can’t stand to be with his wife.
