Bun Bo hue is amazing! I live on the western side of the twin cities and would drive to St. paul just for their bun bo hue. The staff was great and food was just overall amazing! Egg rolls were my favorite appetizer; crispy and filled with lots of meat. If you’re looking to try something new, order the banh cuon! It’s a delicious steamed rice roll with a pork meat stuffing. We ordered some to go and it was a rather large portion and beautifully plated in our to go container.

Super friendly staff! Awesome customer service. I came with my bf brother and mother and we decided to try a variety of dishes. Ordering first the fried chicken wings which were large and crunchy came with sweet and sour sauce. Egg rolls were large and not overly filled with vegetables which is good, paired with fish sauce to dip with. Phở was great perfectly cooked you can smell all of the spices and a good portion size. Bun bo hue was also tasty came with all of the fixins including the blood pie cubes. Café sua da aka Vietnamese iced coffee was tasty they bring it out premixed Overall extremely fast service and we’ll be back for more. Don’t let the ghetto outside scare you off inside is nice with plenty of booths and two large tables for bigger parties. They also have quite a few flat screens for those tv lovers

This place is the worst nightmare. We came on a Sunday night. The place looked like an abandon house from outside. I gathered my guts to opened the rusty door. There were no customer at 7 pm. 3 old men(probably the owner’s relative) sat in the Conner stared at us until we said hi then they told us to take a sit. We sat there in the empty restaurant for 10 mins. Then one of the old guy yell to the kitchen: «hey there customer»… We order the exotic Vietnamese dish we came for. They answered: «we don’t have» Same thing happened for the next 2 dishes I want. After all we ordered 2 appetizers because we just want to get it over with. What do you know the bill came out = 32 dollars. Holy fuk! Please run away from this place.

Phở is decent(needed more seasoning) but a tad expensive compared to all the other phở places on university. Oddly their appetizers seemed underseasoned as well. However the service was excellent. Their Vietnamese dishes are pretty limited. This is more of a Chinese restaurant.

Great food, friendly staff. Even members of my group who think Lee Ann Chin is too Asian liked it.

This was my first trip back since the restaurant reopened under new ownership. The phone number is now 651−493−2263. The new menu is about one third the size of the old one, but that’s not necessarily bad, especially for a new restaurant. However, you may not find your old favorite if you were a previous customer. I had the curry chicken lunch special. The curry was nicely balanced and the chicken was good quality. The fried rice was also nice, not too salty nor greasy like the previous iteration. I miss the old wait staff, but I’ll be back to try something new at the new New Saigon.

I am a huge fan of Phở and I have eaten at almost every Vietnamese restaurant in the twin cities. This place is truly a hidden gem. The phở here is probably the best I have ever had, it tastes homemade like how Phở should taste. I also ordered the seafood egg rolls and I was very impressed with how crunchy and delicious they were. The server barely spoke English but understood what we wanted, she was so nice and too cute to be mad at. In the background you can hear Vietnamese music videos from the TV which made the experience feel more authentic. It is cash only, but it is definitely worth trying!
