I went here for a little birthday treat. The young man working behind the bakery case(specifically the Gelato section) welcomed us and said we should let him know if we wanted to sample any gelato flavors. This gentleman was friendly, talkative and clearly enjoyed his work. The gelato was excellent and worth the trip. The presentation of all these bakery is absolutely spectacular. The fact of the matter is, everything is arranged so perfectly. Nothing is out of place. It definitely makes the food even more irresistible. I also tried a Strawberry macaroon and it crumbled in that authentic style you would want from a macaroon. This place is a real treat. Try it out if you’re looking for authentic Italian desserts.

This bakery in Cosettas really is as good as it gets. One reviewer mentioned the macarons and I agree they are not very good HOWEVER, everything else other than the macarons are incredible. My favorite are the cannolis, I dream about these things. They are as good as San Fran or New York. I also love the cream puffs, lobster tails, chocolate mousse tarts, and cheesecakes. It might seem a little pricey but this is the REAL deal people. So worth it and so good quality.

Pasticceria, located inside Cossetta’s, is like a black hole. One minute, you arrive and say hello to the person behind the counter and the next minute you’re walking out the door with a box of unknown — but tasty — items and Pasticceria has about $ 20 of your hard earned cash. Luckily, everyone that works there has the patience of a Saint and understands that you’ll need lots of time to soak it all in. They’ll answer all your questions and never make you feel rushed, even when there’s a huge line. Every time I visit, I see new things and not just like different items that aren’t available all the time. There’s just so much stuff. You MUST get a macaron. They are so freaking amazing! I even got the last little mango macaron, thinking it must be day old or all dried out. Nope. It was perfection! I just discovered the shortbread cookies and lemme tell you… do not gloss over that section of the case just because it isn’t as impressive looking as the first couple. I have a love affair of all things lime or lemon and the key lime shortbread cookies are what dreams are made of. If you blink you might miss them. They’re about the size of a dime. I only got one(hello, I was overwhelmed and not thinking clearly) and I’ve been kicking myself ever since. Just go here and eat all the things. You won’t be sorry!

I don’t know how this is even legal. I came in here looking for a little sugar fix and walked out $ 16 poorer, dazed, overwhelmed, and ecstatic over my treasures. There is SOMUCHSTUFF in the delicious pastry cases that it’s hard to narrow it down. I wanted to order one of everything, but that would have been overkill, since they had at least 50 sweets to choose from. Italian fancy pastries, tiramisu, tarts, cupcakes, cookies, chocolates, macarons, cakes, cheesecakes, cannoli, things that I had no idea existed. I had to ask what half of the things were, and then added some to the box. The service was incredible– super friendly and helpful and patient. I’m sure they are used to people coming in stunned when they see the display of deliciousness. My favorite things were this little circular green thing with a cherry on top(not sure what it was), peanut butter tart, and the cheesecakes. Several of the tiny cookies were very good too, There wasn’t anything that I was disappointed in. I came back in a week later for round two, and brought some stuff home for my kiddo to try. His favorite was the cannoli and the macaron. Bonus: free parking in back. The only downside: This place is dangerously close to work.

Holy $^#$%@#%! this place is amazing! The gelato and non-dairy gelato are not from this world; I’ve never had anything this good. All of the flavors I’ve had are unbelievable. It’s hard to say what’s better, the friendly staff who«know» their gelato or how on earth they can make something dairy-free so crazy creamy and good. The chocolate dairy-free gelato is mind boggling. All of the other ice cream/gelato shops have nothing on Pasticceria and I haven’t even tried the pastries yet! Oh, the coffee is excellent too.

I have to say that this place is beautiful, pretty cakes and pasteries in glass cases; unfortunatley I was very dissapointed in the freshness of the macaroons; my boyfriend bought me several and they turned out to be dried out and old. I have a bit of an obsession for macaroons and was really surprised that Paticceria would not check on the freshness of these before selling them; there is no messing around when it comes to taking great care of these little delicacies. The humidity level needs to be just right and they can’t be allowed to dry out sitting in the case for days. I was so excited to eat my pistachio macaroons, but when I took a bite, the meringue was brittle and dry, crumbling into little piece that fell all over my shirt, the taste was slightly stale, leaving me grumpy. I tried another just to be sure it was not just one of them that was off, but sadly no, all of the 6 purchased were stale.

A ton of gorgeous bakery items and coffee bar. Might seem pricey but my selections(mini NY cheesecake, mini strawberry tart, regular cannoli with chocolate chips) were totally worth it. Got a shot of espresso to wash it down with and it was perfectly brewed.

Docle Vita! This delicious addition to Cosetta’s tops the list of authentic Italian dessert destinations in the Twin Cities. The marble top bar was shipped in piece by piece and is a wonder to behold(along with their gelato selection!). Their authentic Italian Lavazza coffee is strong and bold, and their macarons are DIVINE! I just sampled the Strawberry Prosecco flavor, and it still had that ‘bubbly’ taste! You feel like you stepped out of St. Paul and straight into a café along the streets of Venice.
