We just finished having chicken chow men and my husband had chicken subgum. We use to eat alot in this place but after eating today we will never come back. The food has no taste at all. It was all noodles. Small pieces of celery .He put the chicken chow me in on first a few pieces of chicken and loaded the top with noodles. Very bad.

Great place. So friendly. Smiles. Fast. Dedicated to good food. We had the lo mein noodles and sweet and sour chicken. Both were excellent for the price. With the coupon it was $ 11. Really enjoyed the old school flavor of the sweet and sour sauce. Parking is in its own lot. Plenty of comfortable seating. Enjoy.

Lots of food and super cheap… If you have no problem eating off of styrofoam plates on a cafeteria tray with plastic forks, then you’ll love Wong Café. They also took our gift certificate without any fuss. $ 6.50 for two meals and we’re taking home leftovers. Not bad!

Good in a pinch. So, dinner was going to be cooked at home, but everything that could go wrong, was going wrong, so we called Wong’s. It was cutting it close — 6:50pm and they close at 7:30. I’ve always wondered; it seems to be packed sometimes and then closed other times. It’s a mystery that needed to be solved! I had a combination dinner — chicken fried rice, chow mein, and sweet and sour pork. My dining companion had the chicken with broccoli and 3 egg rolls. Food was ready in 20 minutes and when we got it home, there was a ton of food. I didn’t like the super gingery egg rolls, which we kind of cold. My food was decent, but kind of cold. I wouldn’t even mention it, but the place is only about 2 minutes from home, so it must have been sitting there. I liked the chow mein and the fried rice. I would get it again, but that’s about it. The chicken with broccoli was good and the veggies were crisp, but there wasn’t much taste for me. Not my favorite, but like I said, good in a pinch. For $ 22 or so, we could have eaten in somewhere and I would have enjoyed a bit more.

Wong Café has been around 85 years says the sign inside this shop where the kitchen is as big as the seating area. Big kitchen compared to some small restaurants I have had food at mind you. Don’t expect to come to Wong Café for anything but Chow Mein or its closely related cousins(egg foo young, fried rice, lo mein). This is no pan-asian, or upscale Chinese restaurant instead it is the place you go for take out Chow Mein, not in the glorified term of stir fried food rather you get some of the best home made crispy noodles to be covered with a vegetable and celery green thick stew like substance. This is the take out version of the two can store combo you may remember eating when you were young, however much better. When you need a quick meal with a large portion at a decent size and don’t want MSG or other additives this is the place for you. Also looks for the signature«SNAP» of the bag as the proprietor fills your order. Definitely a hidden gem for those of us who like this type of Chow Mein. I am taking a few bites even now as I warm back up after shoveling snow. Paul
