Oberweis Ice Cream & Dairy Store

Visited this place for the very first time with some friends. They have lots of good products including fresh milk, ice cream, homemade juices, lemonade among other things.
It is situated just off Mexico road and Mid Rivers Mall Drive at the corner, next to Starbucks. It is not easily accessible if you come in from the mid rivers side just fyi.
I ordered their seasonal blueberry crust ice cream which was the best blueberry ice cream I’ve ever had. It was very fresh and had abundance of flavor.
I did sample the cherry crust pie as well but to me blueberry one was better. It had chunks of crust and blueberries. Mmmmm so good!
They also have apple pie crust ice cream. Among these seasonal ice creams, they have your typical flavors chocolate, vanilla, strawberry etc.
Additionally, they offer a have a huge cup of root beer float as well, if that’s your thing. Their shakes are apparently amazing too according my friends who had them.
I would highly recommend this place if you’re in the area and want to take a break from frozen yogurt.

I had never been to an Oberweis before.
Oberweis sells dairy products. It’s not a grocery store. It specializes in milk, ice cream, and juices that come in glass jugs. When purchasing, you put a deposit down for a $ 1.50 for the jug. When you return the washed jug after use, they return your deposit. It is nice to know they recycle. Pricing for the milk is not over the top either. You are paying about the same that you would pay for organic milk, but with a touch of it feeling more personal and better quality.
I’m not sure if it is every location, but this location in particular sells ice cream with many different flavors that come with regular flavors in addition to seasonal flavors. I ordered the apple pie ice cream and J got the cinnamon. It has many tables for patrons to sit down and enjoy it too.
They have board games behind the counter where people can play while enjoying their ice cream. In the back corner, they have a chess board set up. It’s really nice little establishment with kid friendly accommodations. I truly like it.
If you get the chance, you should definitely stop in sometime.
