Super glamorous food truck! I loved the atmosphere and how they added a beautiful patio and a fun bar! The food was absolutely fantastic! So many burger options and everything we ordered was absolutely divine, all the way down to the French fries! Staff could have been a bit more friendly and efficient but other than that I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a delicious burger/sandwich!

Good burgers in one of the coolest atmospheres in St. Petersburg! I don’t think I could even do it justice. The streamline silver bullet cooking camper that is permanently parked next to a deck that makes you feel at home. At night it’s dimly lit with a vibe that just makes you feel like you’re sitting around a bonfire with friends that are serving you amazing gourmet burgers and ice cold local beers. The Summer Caprese salad is my all time favorite. I just want to order this and take it home. It’s fresh with yellow and red tomatoes, fresh mozzarella drizzled with pesto and balsamic vinegar that makes this salad so refreshing and delightful. The siracha wings were juicy and full of flavor and we devoured them. When the burgers came we could barely finish them(well, I didn’t!). I ordered the peppered bacon burger and it was cooked to perfection with a toasted bun. It makes you smile at how juicy and tasteful these burgers are. Unwind with friends and enjoy the food here.

In my opinion, Engine Rose, has the BEST burgers in St. Petersburg. The first time I tried it, I went back the next day for me. The burgers are massive and the prices are extremely reasonable. If you’re a Brie lover, I recommend the Pepper Bacon burger with brie and truffle aioli sauce. The employees are also very helpful and provide great service.

A cool concept, but less refined in execution than its sister location. Burgers were decent, but a bit one note and missing that extra something to put them over the top.

Tried to go to a couple other places but they were full. Used the Unilocal app to find Engine Rose. It was a cold night and their inside space was full. Ended up sitting outside next to the heaters and it was great night. Nice selection of beers and wine. Had the fried green beans to start that was served with a wasabi aioli that had a good kick. Next was the bacon cheese burger, Cajun fires and cucumber salad. The burger was fantastic — cooked perfectly, juicy with crispy bacon, chipotle mayo and a very soft bun. It’s now my go to burger. The fries were hot and crispy. Also the cucumber salad was very fresh. Love when you end up in a place unexpectedly and LOVEIT. We will go back — hopefully it will be a bit warmer.

If you like your burgers al fresco, this is the place for you! We were at Punky’s a couple blocks over and were looking for a quiet place for late night dinner. I’d seen the cute little airstream of Engine Rose before, and this was my chance to finally try it out! I loved being able to sit outside on the covered patio in the chilly weather because of their space heaters. We all ordered colossal burgers that were super indulgent and fresh. The tots were definitely not the frozen kind you remember as a kid – much better! I really liked that their menu was smaller and focused on a handful of creative burgers plus some tasty extras like the shrimp bowl my boyfriend had(and loved!) We will definitely be repeat customers!

3.5 … So, I just wanted to let that picture sink in for a minute. You know the beautiful one of the braised beef brisket gnocchi? You can see why I got In my car, and drove straight to St. Pete to get this thing after seeing it in the pic section. It looked amazing, but guess what, sadly it was not. I can’t even describe the flavor of the sauce. The only thing I can say is that it tasted like heavy salt with something else, can’t put my finger on it, but it was not pleasant. I don’t think the meat was fresh either. I ate all the tender gnocchi, but left the meat on the plate. It kills me to write this, but I do not want any of my Unilocalers, to drive over here, just for that in particular dish based on how delicious that photo looks. .BUT I can say the Fuego Burger was delicious. I kept hearing MMM and AAHS coming from the other side of the table, and was getting a bit jealous:-) I had to try this thing. I took a bite and not only was it delicious, it was SPICY! Finally! A sandwich that has a spicy name, and that is in fact, living up to it. It was ordered without the chorizo, and it was perfect that way. The Cajun fries were very good too, but a bit overly salted. WARNING: They use a lot of salt at this place for some reason. I looked around and everyone seemed to be ordering the the specialty burgers and wings, so I’m guessing that is what they excel at. Engine Rose has a really laid back vibe that I love. Mostly outside seating. They do have a small inside section, but everyone was outside. They also serve local craft beer, and wine. No Liquor though, FYI Would I come back… Yes. Their menu intrigued . They had ALOT of interesting choices. I really like this place, I just ordered wrong.

How have I not reviewed Engine Rose? I have been here three times since they opened and to the original restaurant, Engine No. 9 dozens of times. I would visit Engine Rose much, much more, but the inside area is tiny(and warm) and it is hot in Florida. I am a wuss. So, I avoid Engine Rose in the summer. If you enjoy outdoors eating, they have a really neat atmosphere. The food is cooked in an airstream. The area is full of picnic tables and tables with chairs. There are large televisions and a bar. The inside contains only a few tables and always has the door open, hence the warmness. It is definitely best to sit outside. I would have previously rated Engine Rose 4 – 5 stars. Unfortunately, our visit the other night revealed a lot of changes in the menu… not for the better. They no longer have the Wine-O which is by far my favorite burger here and at Engine No. 9. They also are missing The Black Flag that I had previously enjoyed. I settled for a burger called Hoppin’ Hog. It was supposed to have pulled pork, caramelized onions, white cheddar, bread and butter pickles and bold Carolina BBQ. The burger was tasty enough, but there was almost no pulled pork or white cheddar. It basically tasted like a thick burger smothered in BBQ with an occasional pickle. Very one note. My Husband order the Pepper Bacon Burger which he had previously tried and liked(although his favorite… the Heart Attack is no longer on the menu either). His was much better than mine, but had too much truffle aioli. Both our burgers were smothered in sauce, so you may want to order your sauce on the side. I will also say that the tater tots are amazing. I think they might make their own ketchup too because it is really, really good. The part of the meal that really bummed us out however was the cajun poutine that we ordered for an appetizer. It was previously served in a large bowl, pipping hot with melted cheese curds and some delicious heat to the gravy. What we got this time when we ordered this almost $ 10 appetizer was a small plate with HARDUNMELTED cheese curds and NOHEAT. Why, oh Why? I now need a new poutine place. sob. Our two burgers with poutine and two canned cokes cost us about $ 50 with tip. We left kind of disappointed, but full. I would like to urge Engine Rose to go back to it’s roots and fix these mistakes. As is, It will probably be awhile before we return.

I decided to come here to check out the food; and I sure am glad that I did! There was a very family friendly atmosphere. The burger that I got was incredible and so was the Cajun Poutine appetizer. We just about licked the plate! After that, we got the s’more jar dessert which was AH-MAZING!!! I will definitely be back to this restaurant; and I recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal!

I’m revising this to 5 stars because I finally went back last week to eat after having drank there a couple times. Had a shrimp bowl. Fresh crispy flavor and colossal shrimp. Bursting with seasoning and flavor not bland at all. Yet again another fine performance at Engine AND the bar server was extremely warm and attentive. OLDREVIEW: I went a couple times this summer and the first thing I noticed when I walked in as I do when I walk in any place for the first time was the attention of the servers. As soon as I walk in, I was greeted with a smile and the bartender told me she would be «right with you» as she finished up with another customer. How simple? How novel a concept, to notion with a friendly«I’ll be right with you»!!! You know how many places and servers don’t do that and just allow you to sit while they ignore you UNTIL they get done doing what they’re doing. Engine Rose has that part down after two visits just for beer. Atmosphere and décor are very stylish, modern and St. Pete/Florida as well. Very breezy too! Even in summer. Beer prices were solid(about $ 5 per for what I was drinking-pale ales) and I can’t wait to get into the burgers and apps. Rating may go up after I eat there. Great job at doing something simple where others often fail. Great attention to service and detail, simple and comfortable menu at a good price. I’ll be back.

Cajun Poutine fries. Add Sriracha wing sauce. Pepper Bacon Burger. Never look back. I really feel that is the only thing you need to know. Do they have an awesome outdoor seating area? Yes. Can you eat inside if its raining? yes, but where is the fun in that??? Is it fun the kitchen is an old air stream? Duh. Is the menu diverse enough for those who don’t want a burger? Absolutely. Is the staff good? Very! Do they have craft beer to enjoy at the bar? Yessssssss. Do you get my drift? This place is seriously one of my favs. It is just far enough outside of «main Downtown St Pete» but still close enough to stop by on your way to/from there.

The food here is predictably amazing seeing as it’s Engine No. 9’s sister restaurant. The menu shows a lot of thought and attention to detail without being pretentious. You can’t go wrong with the Cajun poutine or any of the burgers. The beer selection is great, the atmosphere is laid back, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Keep on doing what you’re doing Engine Rose!

We have been anticipating the opening of this place since we saw the construction. The inviting wood and cozy patio caught our attention. It is definitely modern meets old school with the ancient Airstreem parked on the patio utilized as the chef’s quarters. The menu offers some very unique selections. DMD got a type of pork wrap. He was entirely satisfied even having to take half of it home.(Lunch tomorrow). The cucumber salad was his side choice, and no complaints there. A refreshing change from the norm. The other side offers were Taylor tots and Cajun fries. The fries were highly recommended by our server. There is something for everyone on the menu, even us non meat eaters. The fried green beans were very good. Their salad selection was also unique, yet enticing. The bar is only beer and wine, but offers a selection from local breweries. Inside seating was limited, however the patio has plenty of room. This place is great for a beer after work, or a good meal. Watch your time they are only open for lunch on the weekend, closed on Monday, and open at 5 Tuesday through Friday. I would recommend checking it out!

Came here for the first time yesterday for a friend, for a quick lunch. The weather was nice so we decided to sit outside on the patio area at the bar. The service was decent overall, although it took time to get the waitresses’ attention. They seemed like they were spread thin for the crowd they had. My friend had the Black and Bleu burger and I opted for the Shrimp Caprese. We both decided on tater tots for our sides. I enjoyed the Shrimp Caprese sandwich; the combination of sauces and flavors was a good balance of spiciness without overdoing it. My friend’s burger was cooked just right, but I can’t comment on it since I’m not a meat eater. The tater tots were probably my favorite part of the meal; cooked just right and crispy on the outside! Although I didn’t order a beer, they had a good assortment of beers on tap; both local and and some bigger name craft beers. The major downside to our trip was the price of the drinks. My friend got two Diet Cokes. They were served out of cans and we were charged $ 2.50 each! That’s a huge markup in my opinion. I feel that if I’m paying $ 10 – 15 for the meal, I should have to pay the price of one beer for two sodas. But, I digress. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and am glad this new location opened.

As a big fan of Engine No. 9, I was very anxious to check out this place. I’m glad I did! Many of my favorites from No. 9 are on the menu here, but they also have an array of new menu items. The restaurant itself is very adorable albeit small. Also, it’s clean which always makes me happy. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a nice variety of craft beer on tap. Our waitress was attentive and nice. I had a bacon cheeseburger and tater tots, so basically, I died and went to a most tasteful heaven. There are so many other menu items I am anxious to try, so I shall be back. One warning: pickle haters will not like the friend pickles. That is a straight up pickle sliver in there. This is one case in which the fried happiness DOESNOT mask the pickleness of the pickle

We stopped here for lunch and were not disappointed! The pork«wings» were delicious and the black and blue burger was nothing short of amazing. I really like the way this restaurant is laid out with indoor and outdoor seating options and the airstream kitchen is very unique. I’m looking forward to seeing the menu grow as there are currently a lot of items from No.9’s menu. Service was just as good as the other location and the open air concept is perfect for that location. I can’t wait to go back!

I’ve eaten at Engine No. 9 multiple times in the past so I was more than excited to find out another location was opening in the Grand Central District. Unlike No. 9, Engine Rose has plenty of outdoor seating and a nice warm atmosphere with lights strung all over the place. Currently, their menu is very similar to No. 9 but our waitress informed us the selections may be changing and items may be added. Food is prepared just as good here. I’ve had their sriracha wings before and trying them here was absolutely delicious. An appetizer of this is enough for one person as the wings are very meaty. I also tried their Bacon Cheeseburger here. Very juicy! Don’t like your burger in a bun? They are offering their burger choices wrapped! They also provide some local beers on tap. Overall, service was awesome and food was great. Be sure to check their hours though. Currently, we were told they’re open 4−10pm on weekdays and 6−10pm on weekends. Hours may be changing in the future.
