I’ve been driving by this place for years and just recently decided to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Ben F tried the blackened shrimp and grits with cheese. It was creamy, delicious and well seasoned. I decided on a more traditional bacon, eggs and hashbrowns which was cooked perfectly. Although the coffee could use some improvement(a lot of improvement) the food here is prepared with care and is a great bang for your buck! Definitely worth checking out!

Came through for breakfast after a mandatory Saturday morning trip to St. Pete. I heard it was good so why not. Pulled up at like 9 and the parking lot is packed. Crowd is very diverse… come one come all. Food is excellent! Had the country fried steak withe eggs over medium and hash browns. Very good, quality food prepared just right. My friend had blackened shrimp n grits… tasty as well. Table next to us had omelettes which looked amazing. Try it out if you are ever in the area.

We go to Kissin Cuzzins weekly Hannah was our server today and gave us awesome service with a smile. Best breakfast in the area. I also like the fact it’s not a chain restaurant.

This is one of my faves!!! I love the fish and grits. They give a lot of food. The service is wonderful and the prices are great. The sweet potato pancakes are the best I’ve tasted in FL. The line is usually out the door but it’s definitely worth the wait!

Come here every time I’m in St. Pete from North Carolina. Omg the pancakes!!! Huge and delicious! The waitresses are salt of the earth people… just make you feel like your at home. The grits and eggs were slamming too. The parking can be crazy since its such a popular local spot, but I just parked down the road in an adjacent neighborhood and walked down. Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been going here for 20+ years. There’s a reason there’s always a line out the door. The food is always consistent. Waffles, pancakes, eggs, burgers for breakfast, etc. They have full liquor as well.

One of our regular therapists was out sick and I was able to cover for her at our St. Pete location. I have been meaning to try this place for a long time. I lived in the area for a year and never did. I don’t know if that was a good thing or not! This place is amazing. Just my type of restaurant – comfort food! You know it’s good when I went two days in a row and didn’t take a pic of my food because I ate it too fast haha. The corned beef hash is what my dreams are made of… No joke. I noticed that they have lots of regular customers whom they acknowledge by name and that’s always a good sign. I will probably eat here way too much in the future, I’m just being honest! Lol

So impressed as I sit and watch this operation that works like clockwork, yet staff take time to provide special treatment to older adults, etc… Good food, fast service with a smile! Nancy was great

Wanted something quick and inexpensive. I love a good diner so thought we would give it a try! It didn’t disappoint! The service was great and the staff friendly. The food came out fast and hot. Everything was made to order and the portions were huge. We will definitely be back!

Never a disappointment! Looking for a hearty, affordable, made from scratch meal? Well this is the place for you. I’ve been coming here for about two years for brunch now and I’ve never had a bad experience. It’s clean, the staff is awesome and very attentive and the food is awesome! I can only make it there on the weekends(driving from Brandon) and they are always packed! But don’t let that disappoint you because they are very efficient and will have you seated as quickly as they can. The meal serving size for what you are paying will have you coming back for more. Make sure to give the sweet potato pancakes a try – I usually order at least one when ever I go. All and all you can go wrong with anything you order there! Enjoy! :-)

Took the family on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Although the place was packed, we got seated right away. Lucky for us because by the time we left the line of people waiting to be seated was out the door. We didn’t wait too long to order. I had the Belgian strawberry Waffle. The waffle was good though I wish it had fresh strawberries instead of the compote which was a little overpowering. My wife had shrimp and grits which she said was wonderful. My 8 year old had the chocolate chip pancakes which he said were ok(i.e. Not better than IHOPs). Price of the meals was around $ 30. Overall this restaurant was fine and we’d go back.

Long line on the weekend but definitely a solid breakfast choice. Nothing fancy but simple food done right. Best true southern grits I’ve had in a while. Tons of food for the money too!

Used to be one of my favorite places to eat(food was excellent for diner style meals though the service was often a bit slow) until I discovered a hair in my food(it was deep inside the cooked egg and about three inches long). I haven’t eaten here since, not because of the hair(I understand freak accidents happen), but because of how it was handled. I reported the hair to my server who acknowledged she saw it in the egg and who then brought me out another plate(same meal, recooked) but unfortunately the staff tried to rush it so I had hash browns well done on the outside but still cold potato in the center and slightly runny eggs. At this point I wasn’t really hungry any more and the rest of my party had finished so we asked for the check. The server brought the check and said I took the drinks off because of the hair. There was no hair in my drink, it was in my inedible food. I explained this and she took the food off but she was so begrudging about it, it turned me off the restaurant in general. If a customer can’t eat the food, they shouldn’t be asked to pay for the plate and given a two dollar drink for free.

Who knew… we’ll I’ve lived in St. Pete a very long time and generally I don’t at any establishment on 34th street because it’s usually a pretty undesirable area. I have passed Kissin Cuzzins a million times but some friends convinced me to try it out. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Yes, it’s a diner but they have pretty good diner food and their service was very good. Our server was very happy, friendly and attentive. She did a great job! We ordered beguim waffles, veggie omlete, and Eggs Benedict. The waffle was good but not hot enough the butter didn’t melt, the veggie omelet was great and overall the Eggs Benedict was good but the eggs were way overpoached to the point they were like a hard boiled egg in some parts of the egg. The hollandaise sauce was good, not too thick. We had the hash brown casserole, it had great flavor but a little salty for me but still very good. Overall a good diner expierence, so I’m giving Kissin Cuzzins a 3.5. If you go on a Sunday, be sure to beat the church crowd because the line is very long if you don’t.

IMPORTANT: Even if there is only one space in the parking lot there will still be tables available inside. Don’t run because the parking lot is almost full. I have eaten here several times. Nice size portions, not big enough for two full meals but last time I took half of the assorted fruit home to eat later. The staff is friendly and the décor is nicer than Kristina’s. Short hours though, only 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. whereas Kristina’s is 24 hours. If Couzins is open it is my first choice with Kristina’s a close second and the chain diners nearby not even in the game. Couzins has made my must go list for when I have out of town visitors, along with Sylvia’s, Dairy Inn, and Lorenes Fish. Yes, a diverse group, but variety is a good thing. They all share the attribute of high quality.

Great pancakes! yes if you want regular plain good light fluffy pancakes with a little golden brown this is the place to go to, this is the main reason we stop here for breakfast anytime we’re going to St. Pete in the morning, on Sundays there’s quite a bit of a wait though but it does move faster than it looks. The omelets are very good also, they do not oil them down like many other places. I can not comment on lunch or dinner as I have only had breakfast there. It’s a older restaurant that has a diner type setting that’s had a lot of wear and tear but is kept clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Parking can be a little challenging on Sunday mornings as the place is running pretty much at capacity.
