Update — The place shut down about two months ago. Went there for lunch today, surprise!

Places like this are why we need to be able to give a fraction of a star(0.1 star. I’m reserving 0 stars for the place I eat at that’s gonna kill me). It is terrible. I’ve eaten there twice the first time I thought ‘it can’t really be this bad all the time’ the second time confirmed that it really is that bad all the time. Look, I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps eating from plastic pouches at times(MRE’s … not so bad actually). My standard for edible is pretty dang low and the food here is inedible. Both times I was there there were very few people there(much less any Chinese people eating at the Chinese restaurant) so I don’t know how they stay in business. Jennifer, the previous reviewer, was right even the coke tasted bad. I have the recipe for coke memorized: it’s coke… and ice, how do you mess that up???(ok I can think of a few ways and they’re all frightening so let’s move on). If the food is bad at least the service is terrible. I was mostly ignored in a restaurant with NOONEELSEINIT. I sort of preferred being ignored because when they were paying attention to me they were kind of rude. In the same shopping center there’s a little family owned Italian place. I can’t think of the name right now but It’s good(update: I thought of it, it’s Gianni’s) … go eat there. Or turn right on Tyrone and go to 66th and eat at Panera or any of the restaurants around there. Or go to the Win Dixie next door and get… anything. Go to the pool store across the street and eat a plastic floater thingy(tastes like chicken), just don’t eat here. There’s plenty of parking and it’s easy to get in and out of but that doesn’t matter because you’re not eating here right?

Oh wow this was horrible. This is seriously the first time we ever left a buffet without paying(we told the manager first we didn’t just leave). At 6pm on a Tuesday there was, I kid you not, not a single customer in the whole restaurant. That should have told us something right there. When we got our drinks, my coca cola tasted like someone had poured rubbing alcohol in it. Seriously, I don’t know why soda would ever taste that chemically but it did. The food was also terrible. I mean after taking two bites I was worried about food poisoning it was so awful. My husband can usually eat anything but even he couldn’t stomach more than 2 bites. we told the manager that we were sorry but we just couldn’t eat here. The Asian woman standing next to him was very upset and yelling in what I assume was Chinese but the man was very nice and told us we didn’t have to pay, we could just go. Needless to say we will never be going back.
