I’m from New England and frequent my local trader joes up north. The chain is consistent throughout their locations. I love the clearly marked organic items and the staff is always happy and willing to help shoppers with all their needs. Thank you Trader Joes owners and staff for the awesome experiences across the U.S.

Why is Trader Joe’s the best grocery store? –The staff is almost always in a great mood and are very helpful, likely because TJ’s cultivates a fun atmosphere AND(in general) they offer excellent pay and benefits. –No rewards club, BOGO offers or other discounts. They just have great prices year round on all items, and not searching for little discounts helps reduce information fatigue. –Tons of vegan, cruelty-free options with good labeling. –Great prices! –Lines move faster than other places because they don’t weigh produce! –No intercoms. They use bells!

We stopped by here to grocery shop on our vacation. We ended up shopping until 9:30(they close at 9) and workers didn’t rush us and even asked if we needed another cart lol. An oil bottle accidentally fell from our cart and they were so nice about it. Very awesome crew! The store is big and has a lot of products. I wish the organic selection for the produce was larger but maybe people are not buying much organic in this area?

Decent, but not great. And I’m not talking about the food quality. I’m referring to the customer service. As a long term former Trader Joe’s employee from store 76 in CA, I can tell you for sure that this particular Trader’s wasn’t cuttin’ the mustard when it comes to greeting their esteemed guests. I literally had to shove past two guys stocking the grocery aisle, reaching directly in front of them, awkwardly, to grab a can of beans. Neither one of them said hello, or offered help or suggested anything. Rather, they sat talking and carrying on in my way instead. Maybe I have high expectations, but I guarantee Dan Bane would have been very unimpressed as well(CEO). Anyway, all those Trader Joe’s goodies were there. So I guess I can’t bitch too much. The price was right. Organic section wasn’t as big as California’s, but hey, we do grow everything in California.

First time ever in Trader Joe’s and LOVE it. Reasonable prices, good variety, clean store. Pizza dough is hard to fins and they have it for $ 1.19. Super fresh produce too. Bought a $ 2.99 bottle of Trader Joe’s wine. We will be back to shop.

Trader Joe’s is an interesting concept for a grocery store– they are said to charge less because the produce most everything themselves. It would be like if Publix only carried Publix and Greenwise brand groceries and products. In theory, Because of this they can charge less. But, I have never come away feeling like I saved that much money. Truly, I have never come away feeling like I saved money at all. Publix is my normal grocery store, and still where I do most of my shopping. But Trader Joe’s get a few major accolades from my last couple interactions. I live about 30 minutes from this specific store– but it is near where I get my hair cut. So after I stopped by my barbershop I popped in to check it out again, browse for interesting things, see if there is anything new. I also wanted to buy some of the famous Two-buck Chuck cheap red wine(that now cost $ 3). While there I purchased some tomatoes. I took them home. The next day I woke to see that one of them had been bad and turn the whole batch disgusting overnight. I called Trader Joe’s and they told me to throw them away and come back and they would give me new ones. It took me three weeks to make it back– but they still replaced my tomatoes, about $ 8 worth, without a receipt or proof of rot. I appreciate that they took me at my word. Also– the Trader Joe’s Brand of Macaroons are fantastic. In the freezer section. Affordable and delicious. You can not go wrong serving these at a party. I will keep going back to Trader Joe’s when I am near there– but I don’t think I will go out of my way to shop there.

I have loved Trader Joes since I visited my first one in California, many moons ago. So now that I am in St Pete for awhile, I was glad to see it is close to me. 15 minutes, but close enough to make it worth it. The only issue is the parking, and this was only an issue when I decided it would be wise to visit on a Sunday afternoon. So the selection is good, wish they had more natural flavorings for slow cookers. But I can concoct my own from different spices. The produce section is very good, I always find some fresh fruits. I want to start trying some of the specialty cheeses, as soon as I can fit it into my diet. My brother in law loves the Jo-Jo’s, I do too, but they are on my no fly list. The packaged nuts are a good deal, although I usually buy the bulk bags and divide them into one serving portions… No complaints from me about Trader Joe’s

I only like coming here for specific foods. Over all the stuff is over priced but I like the uniqueness of their products. Not all the frozen meals are very tasty. I do love the cookies though, yum!

6÷3÷2015 This review was written late Spring. I love going to TJ’s outside of New York City; no long line to pay, more room to go around the aisles, and every items are on the floor. The TJ’s in the city often don’t have some items: non alcoholic German beer, Gerstel, or coconut oil. Recently Manuka honey but asking a staff, they are mostly willing to check in the back for you, good business. Back to this store, the lay back attitude staffs vs super busy staffs on the floor in NYC were comfortable, but I experienced laziness from one of the cashiers. I had a last box of ice cream that was damaged pretty bad outside of the box. I requested him to check in the back. Instead of going back to check, he said, «It’s the same when you open it». But I didn’t want to take a chance. He continued, «If it’s not good, just return it!». That might work perfectly if I was living in Saint Petersburg but we were visitors staying in a hotel by the beach on the Treasure Island. We didn’t know when we would be able to come back and replace it. He was already finished packaging and ready to get paid. We paid for a case of Gerstel beer and left the ice cream.

— Short Synopsis — Trader Joe’s is my staple and favorite grocery store for good reason! They have great quality of items and a local feeling ambiance/presentation. — Detailed Review — I decided to do my 100th review on one of my favorite grocery stores that I have been coming to for years. This lovely relationship mainly started back in college in California where there was a Trader Joe’s right next door to the university I attended. The relationship has blossomed from there. In Florida, I come here almost weekly for my grocery shopping. One of the interesting aspects to Trader Joe’s is that most of the items are Trader Joe’s brand, but don’t let that deter you. The quality is great and consistent. One of my favorite aspects is the seasonal offerings, especially the fall season. They offer a variety of pumpkin goods during the fall season. The ice cream and pumpkin chips are my favorite, although they sold out of the chips in early October. Aside from the seasonal offerings, my other favorite aspects to Trader Joe’s are the ambiance, décor, and packaging. It provides an almost local/home feel even though it’s a large chain. I also love the samples of food and/or wine they give out! It just adds to the experience. Also, if you find a certain stuffed animal(in this store it’s a pelican), you can get a free sweet! You just go to where they serve the food samples, which is awesome in its own right. This is more geared toward young kids. A great grocery store that feels more like a local market!

Best Ever!!! I love Trader Joe’s. St Pete is finally on the map now that they have one. What’s to say about the delicious samples, the wonderful variety of ever changing gourmet foods at discount prices, the lovely flowers, the friendly Hawaii style-attired staff, the premade salads with yummo ingredients, the pine nuts, the dried fruit, the kefir, the treats, the desserts. it’s never ending!!! Trader Joe’s, will you marry me?

Love the quality and the price. The only downside is the selection. They have the staples and a great variety of unique foods, but if you are looking for something specific, be aware you may have to look elsewhere. I always start at trade joes and then go to publix if there is something I cannot find afterwards(like cornstarch). However, that doesn’t happen that often. I love their selection of cheese. I’ve been trying a different cheese each time — triple cream brie, camembert, mushroom infused brie, mozzarella. They have a great variety and I haven’t been disappointed yet. Ever since I started shopping here, I’ve saved on groceries. I used to always go to publix. You would think that with all the organic and healthy selections it would be more expensive. Nope, they are still great deals. Everyone who works here is super friendly. Even though I pass about three groceries stores to get here, I always choose Trade Joes.

They do not have the invetory that you would find at most grocery stores which almost made me rate a four. The reason I chose to give it 5 stars is the fact that what they do have is priced by far cheaper than any other store I’ve shopped in for groceries. They had multiple sample stations open which gave us an opportunity to try and end up buying products we may have passed. I wish we had this store closer to home. I would definitely be a regular.

The only things not to love about Trader Joes is the occasional yucky parking situation and the running out of popular items. I tend to always go after 6pm which sets me up for failure when it comes to getting my French Vanilla coffee creamer. However, going early in the morning when they open or later before they close allows the luxury of not playing bumper carts with half of St. Pete. All products I have tried I have loved, save the pasta sauce and any of the pizza/tarts with mushrooms. I know better now, just not to my taste. Frequently purchased are the eggs, almond milk, coffee creamer, produce, frozen items, cranberry orange scone’s, paper products, and don’t get me started on the cheese case. Glorious cheese. Truly my weakness at Trader Joe’s. Mmmmm cheese…
