Uh, did I walk into Winn-Dixie or Publix? Lol, I was pleasantly surprised by this Winn-Dixie location. It seems much bigger than the other ones I have been in and a lot cleaner. They also have a nicer bakery and deli area. And seriously, did that employee just smile at me and ask me if I needed help? Shocked as I have never had that happen before. The veggies/fruits looked ok. Beer and wine selection is decent. Meats were fully stocked when we visited on 4th of July. And amazingly, we were able to check out in no time as the cashiers here are fast and friendly and they had more than 2 lines open! Also a liquor store attached next door with a good selection. I guess the prices are ok as well, not sure how they compare to other stores as I don’t purchase liquor that often. The guy working there was really nice and helpful too. Glad to have this nearby our house, I love their fuel perks program, digital coupons, and healthy deal of the week.

For some reason shopping at this grocery store makes me feel like I’m shopping in Russia. Plus I’m not a big fan of the whole idea that you need a card to save.

Nice store but over priced for groceries! and I guess it depends on when u go shopping, but the veggies here are rarely fresh. I don’t come here unless something important is missing for dinner.

i’ve lived in St Petersburg for a long time. I’ve probably been to every Winn Dixie on the north side of St Pete. Out of all of them, this store is the cleanest and better stocked. The manager always has a big smile and she always has time for a chat with a customer. The rest of the staff is the same way. The staff are friendly, courteous and happy. Their attitude and customer service skill affects my attitude. I have to say other than an argument in the parking lot with an idiot customer going into Big Lots I always leave this store smiling. Also, they run really good sales and buy one get one free. In addition if they’ve run out of an item that was advertised in their flyer they will give you another named brand as a substitute item. I’m heading there again after work today. :-)

I have to admit, I am a bit of a supermarket snob. I like my grocery stores to put on a nice show — make the effort for my business. I like it clean and aesthetically pleasing. So it came to be that I totally dismissed Winn-Dixie shortly after we moved here. I visited another location near Gandy Blvd, was snobbishly unimpressed, and have been a regular Publix patron for nearly two years. This seems long-winded for a grocery store review. Stick with me. Recently I began investing a lot of time in couponing(now being used as a verb). In my endeavor to save some bucks on our ballooning grocery bills, I now shop for food at Publix, Target, and Winn-Dixie. This particular Winn-Dixie is really quite nice — a double surprise, because the shopping center is not much to behold. Nice selection of produce, good bakery and deli, decent variety on the shelves, good sale prices, friendly employees. Additionally, their gas savings program is not too shabby… I saved .55/galllon today. This particular store is worth a try!
