Wow! The best sushi by far in Missouri… I am from California and I have to say this place is better than a lot of the restaurants out in San Francisco. Not only that the service is great! Just a fantastic environment! Definitely check it out when you are in town!!!

Best restaurant I have ever eaten at! I go quite often, and the food is fantastic! The only problem I would say is the quantity of food you get, I would like to get a little more for my money-but I am not complaining because the quality is astounding! In my opinion they have the best tasting food you will find in the area!

It’s was a nice place, prices are a little ridiculous. But the sushi is amazing. The teriyaki chicken bento box not so much. Only one server. I feel bad for the girl. They are understaff so you’ll be waiting a while. Overall it was an okay Japanese place in Saint Robert.

The food was not bad for the only Sushi place in the area. On the expensive side, and poor customer service. Waited and waited on the check after the hostess asked if we were done. People stood at main entrance and waited for seats.

The Sushi is the bombdotcom I would of gave them a five star but the service wasn’t all that great when we went & they were a bit rude.

Yes it’s a little bit on the expensive side but it’s pretty good! My husband got the tempura shrimp roll, spicy tuna rainbow roll and spicy tuna roll. He enjoyed all of them and he’s a picky person with sushi. So on that note, it’s worth a try. I had the avocado roll and that was great. They were very nice and the place was clean. We will be regulars there for sure. Oh and there miso soup was yummy as well.

My son wanted Japanese food and heard about how great Mizeki is so we went there for dinner. It is a nice cozy restaurant off Route 44. We didn’t get seated right away. Then we realized why. There is ONLY one worker who is a waitress, hostess, and cashier. I felt bad for her. She worked hard but obviously, the restaurant is understaff. She was sweet and was so busy. Lots of people came in after us, just waiting. I think only three people worked in the big restaurant overall — her, someone making sushi, someone making the hot dishes in the back. The menu was quite extensive but not with much variety in each section. I opted for the spicy teriyaki chicken with rice. Also ordered on the table were crunchy roll, Bento box, Salmon with asparagas. Each dish came with miso soup and salad. I did lke the salad and miso soup. When the entrees came out, the presentation was nice. However, the all the rice dishes looked better than it tasted. We all felt that it was much sweeter than we would like. What bothered me is when the food was done in the back, you can hear a bell ring and the waitress/hostess/cashier girl yelled, «coming.» I thought that was unnecessary. She could’ve just quietly went to the back and got the food. She came up to our table to tell us whenever we were ready to just go to the cashier area. I honestly don’t think I would go back. I think I paid too much for what I ate and was not satisfied.

Went yesterday w my husband and a friend. Sake, miso, and a Coke. Also MRE Roll(cute, and comes with tempura and surprise dessert), Boot Camp Roll(fried, but waitress forgot to put in my order so it came to the table about 15 min after everyone else’s), Black Tiger Roll(the best of all)! Pleasantly surprised. Wasn’t expecting a decent sushi place in Missouri. Will return!

Slowest possible service with microwaved dried out edamame. I got my dish when everyone was done. Also, let’s not forget the waitress cursed in front of my kids when she spilled two of our drinks. Unilocal should have an ability to give negative stars.

Very authentic and reminds us of restaurants in Kashiwa Japan. Now if they would only stop serving cold red wine!

Only in Missouri would you find a sushi place that has a menu with Baked, Cooked and Fried rolls… lol. And oh, then they’ve got some fresh ones at the very bottom. As others have said, prices are a little higher compared to some sushi spots but not unreasonable. I got the Love Tuna roll for $ 12.99 and edamame for $ 3. The first thing I noticed when the roll came out was that it was in 7 pieces rather than 8 which I thought was strange but maybe that’s how they do it out here. The roll was great and the fish was fresh. The only downside was the amount of sweet sauce on it, it was a little much. I wanted to taste more of the fish, not so much the sauce. But overall, I was just glad to try something fresh and different as opposed to all the fast food, pizza and chain food options that surround this area. Nice, friendly service too. I just wish they had more normal, fresh sushi roll options as opposed to all the baked, cooked, fried rolls, etc.

Decent tasting food, but the service could use drastic improvement. Went with a group of six, but only five ended up getting their food. They did give the sixth person his food free. Not a great dining experience.

Great cozy place. I have never actually ate authentic Japanese food, but I can say that the food here have it a good name. A little pricy, but that is the price of good food.

Every time I eat here I get explosive diarrhea. I went to pick up sushi regardless because I thought I’d give it one more try. I ordered carry out. Got 2 rolls($ 13 Each) and a miso soup. I get home and open the bag to see no soy sauce no siracha sauce like I asked no miso soup and no chopsticks… Already having a Shitty day. this definitely puts the cherry on top. I haven’t eaten sushi with my fingers since I was a kid. At this point I’m starving! It’s the only sushi within a 30 mile radius and it is way overpriced for its final product. Disgusting

The Alaskan Roll was really good. My wife had the Golden Roll which was interesting but I’m not sure how I feel about fried Sushi. Two adults and two children came to $ 61, I think that was fair for four rolls, four drinks, two kids meals, and an small appetizer. We enjoyed it.

A lot of reviews mention that this place has great sushi«for a small town», however, I feel that the location shouldn’t give a restaurant an excuse to serve mediocre food, especially if it’s as pricey as its big city counterparts. With that being said: The food: I ordered a ‘spider roll’ and ‘soldier roll’ along with miso soup and a large Saporro beer. Yes, it was all for just myself, and yes, I finished all of it. The miso soup was brought out first and was a disappointment. In fact, I remember thinking«I hope this isn’t an omen of things to come». It had exactly two pieces of tofu and zero seaweed in it. The spider roll arrived next… The first thing I noticed was that it had pretty good presentation. It was well arranged on the plate. I went in, armed with chopsticks, and grabbed the first bite. It fell apart as soon as I touched it. Now I’m new to the sushi game(I used to refuse to even try it), but every other instance of sushi has stayed fairly in tact when I picked it up. This leads me to think the rice was too dry. Anyways, I picked up the pieces and continued with the mission. It tasted like every other spider roll I’ve had, which is a good thing! When I was about halfway through, my next portion came out to the table… ONFIRE! It was pretty awesome, not gonna lie. I waited a bit for the fire to go out because I couldn’t figure out a safe way to put it out myself. These pieces had an excuse to fall apart, they were slightly burnt to the bottom of the aluminum foil, no biggie. They had good flavor, slight spice at times. All in all I spent about $ 35 before tip, which is kinda pricey for one person, but I eat more than the average person does. Service: The service was great. The young lady who waited on me was friendly and attentive. Zero complaints here. Décor: I didn’t get too much time to scope out the place, but there were some pretty cool Asian-esque decorations on the wall. However, I sat at a table that faced a fire extinguisher and a fax machine :/ Conclusion: Would I recommend eating there? Yes. The food was decent, if a bit pricey. The service was great. Will I eat there again? Probably not. I leave this hellhole of the Midwest soon and, if I have any more sushi cravings, there are a couple of other places I will try out.

I read one of the reviews on the Sunshine Roll for $ 13(Shrimp Tempura Roll with cooked Salmon on top!) and wanted to try it. I’m glad I did; It was delicious! I’d recommend it as well! My only gripe is that the bottom part of the rice was stuck to the foil. The restaurant is clean, plenty of seating, and nicely decorated. Staff is friendly and very attentive. TIP: They lunch specials are significantly cheaper than the dinner menu. So if you decide to eat here; I’d recommend coming during lunch.

I travel a lot… I love sushi bars and I make it a point to goto them. Matter of fact we just returned from Cali. So being so far away from the ocean this place is awesome the sushi is fresh and combinations are fun. Tonight we ordered the sunshine roll and it came on fire yum! Unagi is my mothers favorite and it’s delicious. The prices are fair the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the fact they have a pellet stove is awesome I’ve never seen that before. Two thumbs up and try the Alaskan roll !
