First trip to Salado, didn’t realize that 99% of the stores close at 5. My friend and I were shopping for decorations for a baby nursery and lost track of the time. The owner, Chris, said«Wrap it up, we close at 5». I was stunned. His tone of voice was completely rude. Couldn’t he have said«Hey guys we close soon, is there anything I can help you with? «or literally anything else, in a friendly I-own-a-store-in-a-tiny-town kind of voice? The main drag of Salado is less than two miles. I was prepared to spend $ 200 in this store, and instead spent $ 30 something. To be fair, his store has a ton of really cute, unique stuff. I looked up the brand for the what I wanted and will order it somewhere else.

This is always my first stop when I’m in Salado. There’s always something new and unique here that I’ve never seen before! This is definitely a standout!

This is one of my favorite stores in Salado, and I stop there every time I’m in town visiting family. The store is full of interesting and unique items, and while the prices can be a bit high for some things, they have never seemed unreasonable to me, and there are plenty of true steals. Classics provides something special, every time.

All of the stores on Main street seemed to be the same. They were pretty much cookie cutter southern knick knack stores with a few unique pieces here and there. This store was just that with a slightly higher pricetag attached to said«pieces». The store was very clean and full of character but so were all the other stores on this short strip.
