I really want to like this place. They have a great selection of beer and wine. The staff is friendly, but what is up with the prices?! $ 106-packs of staple beers like Sierra Nevada Pale is a complete rip-off, especially when other local joints are about 20% cheaper. Every time I go in there(usually as a last resort on the way to a party or BBQ), I walk out feeling a little exploited when I’m paying over 20 $ for a couple 6-packs. If this place decided not to gouge its customers, I would be a regular.

My friends and I have been going here since before we were supposed to and for that reason alone Alexandra’s will always have a special place in my heart. That said they have a pretty decent beer and wine selection at reasonable prices. The staff are always nice and helpful. The store itself could use an update, it’s kinda dumpy and run down looking inside… and the carpet and shelves could benefit from vacuuming and dusting but at least they are not pretentious!

I really like the people that work here and the selection is pretty good. I went in there once looking to see if they had a particular type of beer that i had only had on draught at a bar. one of the guys took a good 20 minutes to try and help me find it. They didn’t have it in the end but I appreciated the effort he put in to help me look. Also, the lady that works here has a dog that is amazing and she doesn’t(at least look like she) gets majorly skeeved out when I start talking to the dog like i understand canine.

Neighborhood liquor store — just enough selection to keep me coming back. Convenient, good hours and they sell hot sauces. Maybe some of the staff don’t offer you hugs and kisses you when you walk in, but they’re working a liquor store in Salem. It’s probably boring as shit… what do you want? Fanfare? Perhaps some flower petals across your path? Buy your booze, hit ‘em with some pleasantries and GTFO to 7 – 11 for your mixers and what I suspect are space aliens posing as Indian immigrants.

This is my usual liquor store since it’s on the way back from the train. Their beer selection has greatly improved since the change in ownership, with the occasional beer tasting in-store. It’s a little pricier than nearby competition, but the convenience trumps that usually. (Yes, there is sometimes a dog, and yes, some of their staff is occasionally unfriendly)

My fave liquor store!!! I love going here to support my local business’s instead of the chain stores. They got a huge selection and even though they may not always have a party pack of mikes or Smirnoff, they always got plenty of other stuff to choose from. Especially a huge wine selection and a import selection. Plus when they owner is there, he has his dog in and it’s the cutest black lab ever
