Food was delicious and the new décor/​lighting makes a big difference! Service was great too. Will be going back for 2 for 1 crab legs and shrimp!

Best chili and burgers around, if you’re not a seafood fan. Non smoking side could use a good carpet cleaning.

The Awful Arthurs in downtown Roanoke is not half bad. This place is just a bar. Seems like eating food here would be like licking a hospital floor. The bar is separated and allows smoking. The «eatin» section still smells like smoke. The carpet looks like it was pulled from a morgue in New Orleans after Katrina and smells like it too.
If you smoke, this is your place. For grown ups, not so much.

I’ve never seen a place so determined to remain in the past and turn away new customers. The 3 times I went I ended up leaving 2 times before ordering anything. The one time I did order I wish I didn’t.
My main course was warm, but the sides were cold. Upon entering the bar the «security» or what ever you call them were unfriendly even though the bar was almost empty. They seemed like they were doing you a favor by even letting you in through the narrow entrance area.
The crowd is what you would expect of your fathers classic rock n roll hand out. «old fashion»
Stay away and drive to Roanoke instead for a nigh out.

Awful Arthur’s is just that… AWFUL. The food is disgusting and overpriced. Yuck!
