Going to see Dr. Bloom and his staff was one of the best moves I’ve ever made. It’s one thing to find someone with a high level of professionalism and courtesy, but to happen upon an entire office of people with those qualities is quite rare. Dr. Bloom’s willingness to listen, and his desire to understand the real reason I was there that morning sitting in his chair, can not be praised enough. Rather than being a patient he would work on, we would do it together. My input mattered as much as his, and this made the decision to seek treatment with him very easy. Not to mention the dude plays blues music while he’s working. Pretty cool! Thanks to Dr. Bloom, Marty, Kristen, Heidi, Erin, and the whole team at New England Dental Arts. A first-​rate, caring, group of people.

My 18-​year-​old daughter was a patient of his. At first, things went well — until they didn’t go well. She saw him in March for a full examination and panoramic X-​Rays. At some point after the visit (when he had the time, I was told), he reviewed her X-​Rays and discovered abnormalities (i.e.; cavities). He said nothing. April came and went and he said nothing. May came and went and he said nothing. She was in the office for a cleaning in June and he still didn’t bring his findings of cavities to her attention. The office staff said her mouth looked fine. On June 30, I get a call telling me her cavities (the ones they knew about in March) should be addressed «immediately» before they «get worse» and require extensive treatment! Huh? The cavities showed up on the X-​Ray in March and we don’t hear about he findings until end of June. So, now we have to pay a for five surfaces (over $ 500 after insurance) for this dentist’s malpractice. When we brought this oversight to his attention, he immediately dismissed it and came up with all kinds of excuses for his negligence.
My advice to prospective patients — Do your due diligence when researching dentists. You don’t want to take chances on your oral health. I hope my input is of help to others.

Just visited the office today. Everyone is so friendly. Dr. Bloom is a great dentist. I was very impressed by the entire team!

Was referred to Dr. Bloom by a friend after another dentist had failed to identify some issues I was having with my teeth.
What i like about Dr. Bloom is that he takes the time to explain to me what he is doing, and he listens to my feedback. I feel like we are working together on a dental plan instead of me just coming in for checkups and fillings.
