In town from San Diego and looking for a good pizza. Frank’s was a great choice. We got 2 salads and a pepperoni and onion pizza. The pizza could have used a few more pepperonis on it. I will return the next time I am back in town. Great pizza find in downtown Salem.

Franks Pizza in Salem has officially lost a loyal customer. They have now decided to stop delivering to us, a whole 4 miles away, even though they HAVE BEEN DELIVERING. Reason we were told «the driver doesn’t want to go out there».apparently a different driver than the sweetheart we had before. Response when told they were losing a repeat customer «Sorry to hear that» and nothing else. So make sure your driver knows he lost a $ 10 tip and know your store lost god knows how much money… way to go and happy new year. Back to Brambleton we go! The food was much better anyway… that’s what we get for switching :(

We’ve lived in Salem 10 years. This is the only place we get pizza! The buffalo chicken pizza is delicious. I like the hamburger. The pepperoni is classic NY pizza. It’s great delivered and very awesome in because it’s extra hot.
We order every year for my kids birthday parties at least 15 pizzas. Usually about 5 buffalo. People LOVE it.
Think crust, chewy perfect crust.
I think they know us too well now. We’ve eaten a lot is Franks.
I don’t care for the other menu items. Oh– but the calzones are good.

My husband and I were looking for a non fast food place near the highway while driving home to New York from Florida. This pizza is legit. It is straight up NYC style– the kind where the crust is so thin you’ve gotta fold it over. Crust was delicious and the sauce had me thinking we were in Brooklyn. Only thing that was sketchy was that they only had plain cheese slices and then they would throw whatever toppings you want on top of it. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for a REAL slice of pizza.

Kind staffed, owned and operated and serves authentic Italian. Good size inside with great photography from local artists! The pizza is awesome! Very New York style… gotta fold those pieces! Great cheese and sauce with perfect crust! Large menu as well which is great if you dont always feel like pizza!

Good pizza. Crust is excellent, chewy and not too thick. The sauce is a little bland but good. Not my favorite but pretty good and satisfying.

Hands down this is the best pizza place in Salem. I would even compare it to New York Pizza in Vinton. The ingredients are always top notch and they never short you on them. Give the veggie pizza a shot, it doesn’t disappoint.

I’ll give the cheese pizza five stars. Being vegetarian, it’s the usual pizza I’m drawn to, and being the simplest, is probably the hardest to impress with. It’s not one of those great gourmet cheese pizzas. It’s one of those great bad for you, generic cheese pizzas. I’m actually partial to those, it so happens.
The cheese/​garlic bread is decent, too.
Little place, very local chain. Has the usual local run vibe. I don’t mind supporting that. Especially when the other options are disgusting huge chains (Papa Johns, Dominos, etc).
