Pizza bigger than your face, an awesome beer selection, and open late night? Sign me up. It’s super tiny inside, but you can always pack a good time into a tiny space :)

Delicious! Stopped in late with about 10 people, friendly staff, great pizza, lots of beer selections! Much better than any chain pizza place, going back again this week!

Great pizza! Handmade dough and fresh veggies from the farmer’s market not to mention they make a great ranch sauce in house. Great beer selection and knowledgeable friendly bartenders who make some excellent suggestions.(Doug is great!) All round great place to go for a few brews and a slice.

I saw some postings about this place but my stomach dropped when I realized that this place used to be Xinachtli. But, I guess downtown Salem needed another pizza and beer option instead of good Mexican? My friend and I got the specialty slice which for that night happened to be a Philly cheesesteak pizza. The slice was pretty big, enough for most people. Of course, I had to go 2. Apparently, many other patrons decided to go for 2. My Canadian companion called it quits after one. I think the pizza here is better than Benny Marconi’s. However, it won’t amaze you. It’s just a decent slice of pizza. A whole pie will run you 28 bucks, whereas a slice will run you between 5 and 7 dollars a slice. What’s good about this place though is the beer selection, pretty much all of them bottled. Picture Jack Brown’s but with pizza. Overall, the same problem that Xinachtli had is a problem for Lucky’s, the space. If more than 10 people show up, there’s no room in here. Also, if a lot of people show up, service gets slow. All of the seating is counter seating. Parking is street parking. Overall, I think it’s a decent place for a slice… even though their name is remarkably similar to one of my favorite restaurants in Roanoke. I’ll just refer to this place as Lucky’s Pizza to prevent any confusion.

Awww snap! This is THE place for a quick bite and a beer in Salem. Pizza is better than decent and quick. Great beer selection. Friendly staff. There is a sort of beer club where they keep a chart and you can rate beers you try. Based on my 2 visits: Pizza tastes better by the slice than as a whole pie. Good beer can be had on the cheap(specials and closeouts) It’s a small location with maybe 10 seats. They are interested in what beers you want them to carry.
