I LOVE this place. So many yummy things! They have a good deal on their goodies close to closing too. Unfortunately I don’t always have $ 10 to spend on a loaf of bread. But they are amazing when I do. You do get a free taste slice of whatever bread they have on display when you go in and the sales people are always wonderful.

Delicious! The bread is tasty and so fresh. I’ve bought cookies a few times as little gifts and they are always a big hit.

Expensive, but quite a variety of good fresh baked breads of many sorts. I bought the jalapeño cheese cornbread. Delicious!

It’s ok, but I tend to not go out of my way for a loaf of bread. Especially a loaf of chain bread. (A long time ago I didn’t know it was a chain. When I found out it turned me off quite a bit.)
People go nuts over fresh bread; and they have a right to because it’s awesome. But hit up Fred Meyer after you get off work and you can pick up piping hot loaves of delicious bread for far cheaper.

Yay, I’ve found a wonderful bakery in Salem, actually a chain bakery here. All the Great Harvests in Salem always seem to be busy and bustling with customers. They always offer samples, huge slice of bread (more like a free large snack than a sample, if you as me, haha).
They make their breads fresh each morning and have so many delicious flavors! I’ve been looking all over for a place that sells über-​duber soft bread flavored with various spices. Great Harvest is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Prices are reasonable and they also offer punch cards (buy 12 loaves, get one free)!

Salem’s best bread! Variety in their offerings, always friendly service, and great selection. Love their use of fruits and grains in both muffins and scones. Make sure you go early in the day for the best selection, as they do run out of the popular items before afternoon.
You can taste most bread varieties before purchase so consider this a fresher, more flavorful alternative to grocery store breads.
They also serve Peet’s coffee and brew it STRONG.
