I love going to this store. For the last 25 years, I’ve shopped their stores beginning in Hayward, Ca. San Jose and now in Salem, Oregon. They’ve changed the format of the store over the years, but the staff is still very knowledgeable. I just needed Hair Canvas. That’s an old fashioned interfacing used in tailored Men’s suits. My first call was to Hancock Fabrics, yes, the gentleman there knew what I was talking about-(that’s 90% of any sewing success). Alas, they don’t carry it, but he had some suggestions about where I might find it. They have my respect and I highly recommend them.

A great selection of fabrics awaits you here at Hancock. I was intimidated by the ‘expert’ feel of the store. Not being a pro at sewing (or crafts in general), I stopped in to look for some beginner projects for my son and I. I left empty handed because, like I said before, the store is not for beginners.
The customer service was stellar. I was greeted exuberantly when I entered and equally so when I left.
If I ever decide to go pro at sewing, I’ll be back.
