Jimmy Johns. So fast that they open at 11 on Sundays and I got my sandwich at 10:59. Impressive. Food tastes great too!

I don’t get why there are negative reviews for this place. Today I went in for 2 sandwiches and got them both in under 2 minutes. Mine tasted great and so did my moms. It’s a little more pricey than Subway but you get what you pay for! The subs are huge, and taste better, to me. The service is always friendly for me. Their chips are yummy too.

I have eaten at this location more times than I can count. It is getting worse and worse every single time. There is not a good chance I will order here for a long time. And when I do I may update my review hopefully for the better. I had the veto today and it was beyond underpar. I used to run this company in Arizona and I can tell you that both the wheat and the French bread is not being proofed long enough. The bread is just gross. The sandwiches are made half ass. Then they had a delivery boy come on his skateboard to my house. That doesn’t make sense when I am over 2 miles away from your location. Then my fall for him catching me offguard and may not paying attention but I was really caught off guard when I gave him $ 20 for my $ 14 order and he said thank you and started to walk away. I had to stop him so he would give me my change. Ultimately I ended up giving him almost 5 dollars and a tip because he tried to take my money and leave and completely caught me offguard. You should probably teach your drivers to give change and I assume all the money is there is to keep. I have never seen anything like that in all of my years of running restaurants, owning a restaurant, and being A customer. Needless to say I may not be a customer at this location ever again.

For perspective I rate Subway and Big Town hero 4⁄5 stars. JJ is Inexpensive with 8″ sub for under $ 5 but the food doesn’t stack up to other sub shops. I also don’t like the heyO welcome and crap music. I think they are trying to put out a cool young vibe but it’s not working. Also you can’t customize your sub and napkins and condiments aren’t easily available. Will only return if a friend just had to go.

Our favorite thing about jimmy johns is the convenience! During our home remodel and any projects for that matter, it was jimmy johns to the rescue! Their delivery is truly freaky fast, and their sandwiches are satisfying. #9 with hot peppers is the only option in our house!

Jimmy Johns and subway run pretty close to neck and neck and the quality of food that they have which is good. I think that the quality of meat use a Jimmy Johns is a touch better than subways. Jimmy Johns is only one type of bread and yes subway offers quite a few selections. upstroke for Jimmy Johns is that they do deliveries. my favorite sandwich is the gargantuan. Jersey Mikes is coming to town this spring can’t wait to try their product.

Not a wide variety of options but they do live up go their motto of «freaky fast delivery.» They’re usually done with our sandwiches by the time we’re done ordering and have never had a problem with the food being wrong. Quick and quality? This is the place to go.

Jimmy John’s never disappoints! I was happy to see they had added sprouts back to their menu for sandwiches(winner winner to me!). Quick service and friendly staff. But, the music is just too loud at this location to dine in, at least for my boyfriend and me(22&23 years old). And maybe we are boring but I personally like to think and talk while dining in — not scream over the music. Service definitely varies by location, but the food is always good & don’t forget your pickle!

I missed the«wow», factor. Tastes like your high school cafeteria sub. Only one length to choose from and only one kind of cheese. Blah.

The only good thing about this place is that hey are next to Five Guys Burgers! Meat is proceed, bread is hard, no chooses for cheese, and no pickles. Subway is better. Will not be coming back again!

I am really impressed with the way Jimmy John’s has kept the quality consistently high and the service fast and friendly throughout the multitude of restaurants. I have eaten at a dozen different locations, and fast, courteous and cheerful service is the rule, and this location(#1791) is no exception. I think their prices are competitive, and their made-to-order sandwiches are great. What’s not to love? Fresh rolls and bread, meats and veggies. Bottomless beverages. Kettle-style chips, excellent cookies and really fabulous«half-sour» pickles. Tremendous! The one complaint /suggestion I have — and it is costing you a star — is that you need to deliver to downtown Salem. Guys, dump the bikes, get a Leaf, and deliver box lunches — a huge value — to the starving masses of State workers in those huge buildings. I love the Country Club, #11, on 7-grain bread. My wife recommends the Billy Club, #8, on 7-grain bread, or the Club Tuna, #15, on 7-grain bread.

So this is where three-day old bread goes before it dies. No wonder they keep touting speedy delivery in commercials — go with what You know. They most definitely are fast. Which makes sense — who wants to wait for a sandwich with kinda so-so ingredients on bread that needs to be resuscitated? Once was more than enough. I’m sticking with Subway.

Jimmy John wants to be your food baby’s daddy. Size of the sandwiches is generous, amount of meat and cheese doesn’t leave you wondering what you paid for, so does it get any better? It could be better only if you could avoid that humongous carb crush you get once you get back to work after a lunch there. Don’t forget to add a pickle to your order for a heightened-senses experience.

Better than last time. I had the food delivered and I gotta say, they are the quickest delivery drivers of all time. Holy Moly! I ordered the JJ Gargantuan, and I could not finish it. Next time I will get it without the yucky roast beef. Husband and son both enjoyed theirs. I will get this again if/when I am too lazy to go get my own food.

Pro: Service really is FAST Con(s): Food is meh. If you’re just looking for a sandwich that is made with conventional items(Hellmans mayo, barely green iceberg lettuce, etc), get a sandwich here. Don’t expect more than a few thin slices of meat to go with those two slices of lettuce. The sandwich I got was almost $ 5, what a waste of a cheat day(dont eat refined carbs). I could have easily gone to Fred Meyers down the street, gotten the day old sandwich for $ 3 at twice the size and more toppings with the same or better taste. I think this place is overrated.

In a town with Subway, Quizno’s, Big Town Hero, and several independent sandwich places, Jimmy John’s isn’t all that special. It’s new to the area and that’s about it. I have eaten here twice. The one nice thing about it is that you DON’T have to think about what you want on your sandwich. That is the selling point. It is an East Coast thing. Go to a sub joint in New York and you will find that you don’t have choices of how your sub is made. It’s made THEIR way, not YOUR way, and if you don’t like it; to steal from Seinfeld: «No Soup For You!» That being out of the way, they need to spend a little more time on getting orders right. The day I was there, several folks, including myself, got the wrong order. They made it right quickly, but didn’t give me anything else for the inconvenience. I agree with others here that they really need to do something about the acoustics in this place. I was dining alone, but I found the noise level distracting. Fast and consistent is what you get. If you are in a hurry, they will have you in and out quick and you can customize a bit by asking for certain things to be left off.

The only thing this place has going for it is how fast the sandwiches are made. And I guess it’s also pretty clean. But in all other respects? Nope. The menu is very limited(no choices for sides or toppings or breads), and it’s VERYNOISYINSIDE. There are better choices for fast food nearby — next door is Five Guys, and within a block is a good pizza place, a Subway, and a Quiznos.

I was cheering when I heard JJ’s was coming to town. Back in Indiana, there was a JJ’s across from my dorm when I was in college. YUM. Good fixings, quality meats, and a bread that is strong enough to fit the bill but bland enough to not steal the show. (And there you could buy loaves of day old bread for a quarter and they made GREAT garlic bread!) Chuck had the right approach: get the JJ Gargantuan. It’s a big freakin’ hunk of a sandwich with just about everything on it. ITISGOOD. I think it IS better with bacon, although the bacon they use is kinda thin and uninspiring. But… it’s still bacon. It lends a salty, smokey kick every few bites. The staff are ANNOYINGPERKY. I mean, if you have to err, let’s err on being TOO friendly, but still, at one visit(yeah, I’ve been there multiple times already) I about wanted to slap her. But on most days, it’s a good thing. :) And yes, the service is so fast you’ll freak. I took my friend Leah there for lunch, and while the place was PACKED, and multiple people were ordering end-to-end, we were hardly done putting our wallets away before the Gargantuans we had ordered were thrust into our hands. It may seem like a spendy sandwich, but when you sink your teeth into it… it’s a BIG sandwich, THICK with quality meats and cheese, and well dressed with fixings. Their many other sandwiches can be had on a sub roll, OR on a lovely thick, flavorful wheat bread.(If I remember, they have a bacon-turkey-avocado that is fantastic on this thick bread.) The place is squeaky clean, the staff are bright and happy, and the food is fresh and flavorful. The last time I had a sandwich at what-used-to-be-my-favorite sub place in Keizer(that I won’t name here… ahem), the prices had gone up up up and the thickness of the sliced meats had gone down down down(and while I thought it was just me, I overheard the person beside me ponder the same thing to his dining partner). I hadn’t been there for some time, so I was thrilled to see JJ’s come to town. Even if they are a chain. Oh, and get the pickle if you’re a fan of dill pickes. It’s a big, zesty dill with a wicked crisp crunch.
