Salem House of Pizza

If i could rate lower i would. Never been more disrespected by a «manager» in my life. Everyone makes mistakes, but a real man owns up to them. Your food is way below the average in Salem, Customer service is absolutely terrible, and the luck of professionalism is clear as soon as they answer the phone. If i had to choose between eating here and the dumpster. Pick the Dumpster, you’ll have better service.

Ok i have been ordering from this place about 10 years. But a few years back the ownership changed hands. Never had issues prior. My wife and i love the steak tip salad and pizza. Ever Since new owner took over, lousy service and they always mess up the order. I like to give people second chances, but it has been constant. Every time we call back they seem to have an excuse. Today we ordered steak tip salads, very simple. One with extra greek olives, tomatoes, feta, no onions. Another with sliced olives, tomatoes, feta. Guess what? One with no tomatoes, feta. Steak tips were cold? After I called back person stated that the order is correct. He stated that person that called in was laughing at him? Obviously there is a lack of customer service and lack of understanding on their part. Very rude and very poor customer service. No wonder my steak yips were cold! Will never order from there again!

First I want to say that we love most of the food from Salem house of pizza. We order probably once a week. But we will never be ordering from them again!!! The girl that answers the phone is RUDE!!! We called two weeks ago and ordered a chicken club my BF told the girl he didn’t want tomato. We receive the delivery and there is no bacon (on a chicken club!!!) and there is a ton of tomato. We called to let her know that she put tomato and no bacon. She told us she knows for a fact that we said no bacon! And she said she will send us our money back bc she doesn’t want to make another one and send us the correct order!!! Really you’d rather send us the money back then fix YOUR mistake??? What kind of business is this??? And she’s just as rude in person. For some reason we decided to call them again tonight (1÷7÷2016) 5:45 I was hoping I wouldn’t have to talk to the idiot girl who we talked to last time. She answered and put us on hold. Then a guy with a thick accent answered and he was a complete asshole!!! He wouldn’t even let me talk. We tried to order two chicken clubs and he asked if I wanted it fried… I’ve never been asked that before it’s always grilled. I told him I wanted the regular grilled chicken club and he’d said yeah ok anything else? (In a rude tone.) and I said its grilled chicken right? And she said ANYTHING ELSE? he refused to answer me! I told him he was rude and I hung up. We will never order from them again!!! Terrible customer service!!! THEY OWNER BETTER FIND SOME GOOD EMPLOYEES OR HES GOING TO LOSE ALL HIS CUSTOMERS!!!

So, I’m a big fan of most of their food. I love the honey steak tips and pita bread. So it makes me sad that I can never go here again. The woman on the phones is so dumb and so rude, I just can’t take it anymore. The last 3 deliveries have all been screwed up. Yesterday was the proverbial straw. Ordered my salad with an extra pita and extra dressing so that my husband and I could share the salad. It arrived with no dressings… not the one it comes with and not the extra that I ordered and PAID for. Generally, I let these mistakes go… but this was the 3^rd one in 2 weeks. So I called and let her know that we didn’t receive the dressings and need her to deliver them. She told me «I know I packed the dressings, so I don’t know what to say». Really? I went on to tell her that no, she did not pack them in my bag and that she was welcome to come to my house and check for the dressings. She continued on, basically accusing me of lying and trying to get free dressing delivered. I was in shock… and asked her why on earth would I be letting my dinner get cold so that I could scam 50 cents of dressing from her. She kept saying she didn’t know what to say and that she would send a delivery driver when one freed up from delivering «actual» orders. I reminded her that my order was an «actual» order as well and that it wasn’t my fault that she screwed it up so it’s on her to deliver the rest of my order. And as for what to say… I told her she could say I’m sorry instead of arguing with me and accusing me of lying over a friggin dressing. Oh the joy of idiots. So I threw the salad and pitas into the garbage and went out to Village Tavern where they remembered my dressing for the salad I ordered. Amazing how that works.
So goodbye… SHoP. Never again.

Pepperoni pizza slice is tasty and the price is unbeatable. I can eat here everyday if I live close by.

Pizza is good, I like the sweet sauce. One of the girls who answers the phone there is incredibly rude. I feel like I’m bothering her when I call up and order. She’s almost as rude in person.

This place is the worst sub shop in town. There’s to many things wrong with this place to list but here a few. They never get orders right, The Latino girl on the phones (sorry don’t know here name but shes a pice of shit) very rude she never lets u finish a sentence and has a hard time hearing like shes on Her ipod or something. They often stop deliveries early… like a Hr before closing, also they don’t know there menu very well and some times they change your card TWICE!!! Don’t waste your time with this place id rather give the money to Mac Dees before ill spend at this place.

Usually go there or order a couple times a month. Pizza is pretty good and so are subs. My last visit however was infuriating. I ordered a large pizza that cost 15 and change, they were having an issue with their registers. The cashier tried running my debit card and the register froze. Assuming it didn’t go through she put the order back in the other register and attempted to swipe my card 2 more times. Before leaving I checked my bank account and there were 3 charges for the same order. I talked to manager and tried to explain what had happened. I even showed him the charges but he said I had not paid yet cause his register system did not show payment. He told me he wasn’t gonna charge me for the pizza. I explained that I already paid $ 46 total for my order. He just did not understand what I was telling him happened. Now I have to try to get charges reversed through bank and try to talk to the owner or something. The part that aggravated me the most is that he did not even talk to the employee that ran my card 3 times for all that money. I believe that she was new and I don’t blame her but her manager should have helped me, apologized and listened to what I was saying to him. He basically called me a liar even though I had proof of the overcharge. I will not be returning to this restaurant ever again. The food is good but if this is the way their management treat people I want no part of them. They just lost my 50 a month. If you go use cash.

Salem House of Pizza used to be my go to place until I realized that they don’t really care about their customers. I noticed for a short while that things had started to go down hill quality wise, and then there were a couple problems such as them not being willing to make me a basic pizza I wanted for no apparent reason, forgetting to bring stuff like drinks with delivery and then most recently delivering an extra large pizza that was totally burned. I’m pretty sure pizza isn’t supposed to be solid dark brown on top.
After this last one where I could barely even eat the pizza they delivered me, much less enjoy it, I called them up and told them about it. Their response was, get this, $ 2 off the next x-​large pizza. I’m pretty sure when you go out to a restaurant and something is not right with your dish, they don’t charge you for it, and then give you a couple dollars off desert. Either they take it back and bring you a new one, or if that doesn’t work they take it off your bill. It gets better though.. . The guy who didn’t tell me his name hung up right after making the stingy offer, and apparently didn’t make a note of it anywhere. A couple weeks later, I called to get my $ 2 off and they put me through to the owner who told me he was not willing to honor it. My response was that was fine but he had just lost himself a customer.
Before this my intention was to just try some other places to eventually find somewhere better, but this has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will now go out of my way to avoid this place, and will suggest the same to anybody I know who lives in or visits the area. What a disgrace to the North Shore pizza tradition!

We’ve ordered from Salem house several times now and are never disappointed in our food. The prices are affordable and delivery is pretty quick too. Give it a try!

Just ordered online. Received the order two hours later. Food was cold and they didn’t have the soda I ordered so they brought me what they thought I would want instead of calling and asking. As a reoccurring customer I was very disappointed with the last few orders I’ve placed and won’t be continuing my business with them.

We love this place and order very frequently. We’ve never been disappointed, great pizza, subs and wraps.

Have only had their steak tip Caesar salads but let me tell ya… the best. If you order online you can hand select which veggies you want and also request extra pita bread or dressing. And the pita bread is ALWAYS soft and fresh. You get more steak on the salad than Mandee’s and it’s also cheaper. Win-​win. This rating is based on their salads because I haven’t tried anything else yet!

Worst customer service ever.

First time comming here and it was the last. The service was shitty and the lady behind the counter was as rude as a bitch could get. Handled money from the register then made a ham sandwhich with no gloves on. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and the toilet was clogged. Discusting establishment.

So I love ordering salads here because the pita bread! Thats my main reason for coming here whatsoever, the service is HORRIBLE. They hang up on you and don’t confirm orders.
I ordered out and the pita bread for once was literally FLAT. Could not open it. So i called hoping maybe I could get a new pita bread. (I’m a consistant customer, they get lots of money from me!) and the guy who picked up just played it off like it was no big deal. The pita bread was flat and cold, dude. He hung up on me and here I am telling others not to go to their restaurant. :)

I’ve been a fan of Salem House for a many years now. Anytime I go to Salem and in the mood for good Pizza, SHP is the first place that comes to mind.
The pizza is delicious, don’t necessarily have a favorite pie, I usually go for your basic cheese pizza, that’s always a good option. Great sauce and crust, a bit on the greasy side imo. Salem House of pizza will always have a soft spot in my heart because I practically grew up with their pizza, I remember coming here as a teenager and enjoying a slice or two, eating here is very nostalgic for me.
Glad to see they are still going strong and making the same pizza from my childhood. I wont go as far to say it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had, but you can make a case for it being the best pizza the Witch city has to offer. Is really that good. Skip the usual dominoes and pizza hut, give SHP a try, you will enjoy their pizza. Get it well done.

We were on a weekend escape after going 10 months without a weekend off and decided to order out; we called and ordered a Pizza from this place and the girl who answered the phone was over the top rude and inconsiderate to me. To top it off… after I ordered the pizza she just hung up on me with out confirming anything or giving me a time frame to expect the delivery. I was going to complain but I was afraid to call and do that as with people like that working there they would probably have spit on our food or something gross like that. the delivery person was very nice and I decided not to bother him with my complaint: so here it is. The pizza was tasty however I will never be a customer there again.
