I loved how much space this coffee shop has! I would never drink/eat on a stage, but hey, if that’s your thing go ahead and do it; I’ll watch you from my corner table. Coffee was good. Service was good. Bagels were OK.

Wow! Great vibe. Newly remodeled, friendly staff, GREAT coffee. Make sure you have change or hope a meter is working for parking. they can’t add any money to your ticket and give you change.

Great coffee, bagels(Spielman) and treats(cheddar bacon scone!). Beautiful old building with tons of comfy seating and high ceilings. Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful mission.

Good brews and a cavernous old building to disappear in with a good book. Try the Mexican Mocha.

I love this place and the service it offers to its customers and the community. My wife and I love going down and getting a coffee and just relaxing there. I think the mission is great in what they are doing there in helping young adults, the service is great and I enjoy the people every time I visit downtown Salem.

This time, I was not as impressed. My blended«coffee» clearly had no coffee in it, a very surprising, and upsetting thing, considering how impressed I was with their coffee last year. It made me very sad. I really hope next time is better, and I hope someone sees this. I don’t just want to shout into the void.

You have to love this place for their mission. Pick up some of their merch and enjoy a tasty beverage. A Word to the wise… Don’t fail to pay for parking on the streets… This place is on the border of free and paid parking

I love this place :) The environment is very laid back and comfortable with your choice of couches or chairs. The building itself is beautiful and very antique looking. Their coffee is good and strong, and the staff are always in a great mood with smiles!

Yum! The herb, salted bagel was to die for! Great service, nice alternative milk options and wonderful atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back again! Also used the special Unilocal deal, which saved me five bucks!

Ike Box is seriously the best type of coffee shop you can ask for. TONS of seating including comfy couches and padded chairs, fantastic atmosphere, awesome coffee(I highly recommend a Cinnamon Bun White Mocha… SOGOOD), very friendly employees who always seem to be having way too much fun serving their customers, and the best part… they have an awesome mission! The story is so touching… make sure to ask someone if you stop by why the place is called«Ike Box» ;) Please support this one! Yes there are many great coffee places in Salem but my go to is always Ike Box.

Lots of seating throughout this building. Free wi-fi. Lots of drinks and food options. This place has it all. It also supports students in the community. What’s not to like about Ike?

Lots of seating of all kind, very friendly baristas, and the homemade vegan scones are delicious! The coconut almond is my favorite, all warmed up with my iced coffee. Plenty of space so you don’t feel like a jerk taking over a whole table by yourself.

One of my favorite study spots. They have wonderful chai(they sell My Chai and another type of chai that is also good). Their other teas are good too! The food is pretty basic, but it’s good on-the-go food and you get better variety than some of the other local coffee shops. They have nice sized tables, lots of available tables, and lots of good nooks and crannies that you can pick a seat. There is almost always a table with an outlet accessible if you have your computer with you. It’s a great place to go by yourself or if you are in a group.

Helpful, friendly, upbeat staff who seem genuinely happy to be there, I was there Tuesday night at 7pm. Got the $ 5 for $ 10 deal, used it immediately to buy 2 Apple ciders and a spinach pocket with tzatziki! Yummy. Learned that the apple cider is actualy made with real Apple cider juice and the options; spiced is with cinnamon and caramel is with a shot of caramel. Wonderful décor and the music is at the exact perfect volume level.

I really like the feel of this place! It’s very spacious and feels like an old theater. Theres plenty of seating and it’s not jammed and clustered so you don’t feel like a sardine. Plenty of tables for studying or a few couches for conversing. There’s the big main room but there’s plenty of side rooms and tables along the hallways as well. The coffee was great too. I got a cappuccino and I can’t complain. It hit the spot.

Located in what seems to be an old reclaimed house, the IKE Box has been around for a long time, and for good reason. Well, good reasons: — The staff is very friendly, and is always willing to help when you don’t know what to order. They’re more like bartenders than baristas, meaning they know a lot about the coffee they’re making, and are willing to work off the script and make something that sounds good. It usually is. — Their coffee is great. However, I have a pretty low bar when is comes to the taste of coffee. It’s similar to Starbucks, which is a definite compliment. — The food is pretty good. I recommend trying either one of their quiches for breakfast or a burrito for lunch. Both are light yet filling. — The space. If you’re looking for a place to plop down and do some work, skip the small crowded Starbucks. This place has two conference rooms that you can reserve, and multiple side rooms with couches where you can work in peace. Besides that, the space is HUGE. You’ll have no problem finding a comfy place to sit for awhile and do your thing. All in all, I love this place, and am glad that it’s become a Salem institution.

Great atmosphere. Free Wifi is a bonus. It’s a good place to study, work or meet with groups. I’ve got a regular group that meets here every other Sunday. Staff is very accommodating and there’s ample space to host meet-ups. Coffee’s excellent, staff friendly, and revenue goes to a good cause. Haven’t really delved into the food here– except for some of the pastries, which are pretty decent. But it’s a good vibe. Location’s pretty convenient. It’s just a short walk from the transit station and right downtown.

Came in with my mom the other day. Really liked the atmosphere with lots of comfy couches and chairs with tables about so you can set up your stuff and relax for awhile. Although there is no air conditioning the building seemed to stay relatively cool. My mom has serious issues in heat and she had no problems in the 20 minutes we were there. We will definitely be back.
