Tin Tin Buffet

OMG, gross! I wonder if the waitresses came here stuffed in a boat to live somewhere in Portand in cages for 2 years before becoming slaves working to get their passports the way the waitresses drag their lifeless bodies around like zombie appocolyps in this place! Food sits out for God knows how long, it’s luke warm at best and sauces are starting to jelly up, some of the baby octopusses look like drowned in the yellow sauce or died of bordem and there’s 50 shades of gray all up under those heating lamps that I care not to remember, but there is one thing that I will not ever forget, two words; Montezuma’s Revenge!

I have eaten at Tin Tin several times and do not eat there now. Service is bad, food quality not high, and many items at the tables are tepid or getting cold. Told cashier about the food situation, they thank me, go and stir the food, but nothing more. I do not feel safe eating the food!

Really, the food is not too bad. The fried fish is as good as Mo’s. Great if you are on a protein diet. Downside is cleanliness and poor service. The place is usually uncrowded, but when it is, it’s mostly Mexicans. Guess they like Asian food too– like they do not eat tacos every day!

Went couple of time, nothing new. Pretty dirty inside, depends on the service time they don’t have fresh food, kinda of sections but still not the best.

The bathroom was filthy, and some might say that it had nothing to do with the food, I believe that bathrooms are a reflection on the restaraunts.
Next to the buffet lines there was food that had fallen on the floor that was not cleaned up the entire time that we were in there.
Kids were insupervised and running everywhere. I don’t know how many times I nearly tripped over a child while carrying a full plate back to the table. I realize that a business can’t be responsible for their customer’s children, but at the same time, a manager can request a parent to control their kids.
I did like the food variety and the quality was good. I loved the crab legs.
However, the bad outweighed the good and I don’t have any desire of going back.

Worst food I have ever had so cold and nasty worst customer service ever and they had their kid that was maybe 5 give us our bill and our payment not even worth the the one star

OK so I literally downloaded this app just to write this review… DONT FUCKING EAT HERE!!! dirtiest place on earth. Tables and floors are sticky like they have never ever been cleaned also there is slime bullshit all over the glass table dividers and the butterfly cake was moldy… I’m just waiting for the food poisoning to set in… fucking gross

Stopped here with my family on the way back from Bend. The pictures on Unilocal looked good but the general state of the restaurant was bad. Bathrooms were what you would expect at a very bad gas station. The floors and furniture as well as the serving area were also severely lacking in cleanliness. (Ice Cream machine literally had dirt on the front of it, or had been touched so many time by dirty greasy hands that it looked like it.)
Food quality was poor, even for «cheap Chinese Buffet» category– And the price was not necessarily that cheap. There was also a sign that said there would be a charge for wasted food. At check out, the guy that took my bill actually called our waitress over. He did not speak English but from their body language and where they looked and pointed, it was clear he was asking if we had wasted food. I was not charged extra.
My wife said it was the WORST Chinese Buffet she had ever been at. I would have to say it was in the bottom 2 or 3 all time for me.
Pay attention to the current reviews. Avoid. You can do better, even if it means fasting!

I’m not sure what happend to this place but it is the absolute worst buffet I’ve ever entered. Do yourself a favor and keep driving on by. The service staff was just rude, I asked for a second drink and hot looked like u was asking for a kidney. The food had been sitting who know how long… just a terrible place.

Service was great, servers friendly. California rolls were good. Food was unfortunately cold, but had good flavor.

When I was here for my sisters birthday I remember it being really slow in their, like costumer wise. And it being a little dirty looking on the ground, unwashed plates and silverware, ect. The service was. well «meh». and all I remember is my mother have a huge stomach ache afterwords due to the old looking food and not so fresh pickings left out since like I don’t even know when at this point! But all in all their are better China Bufetts out their!

When this place opened it was awesome! It was my boyfriend & I favorite buffet. Year after year this buffet has been slacking more and more. Whenever we go they usually have either cold food or hardly any food. Its one or the other. The last time we went we told ourselves this was the last time. We said our goodbyes. I think I left with a chipped tooth too!

I read all the reviews for this place and was a little frighten since I had not been here since I was little even though I used to love it, So I decided to not listen to the reviews and go anyways… and It was a yummy experience they have a lot of food. Like someone else said Don’t believe everything people post!!! or else you’ll miss out on good deals such as this place. I left content and full. :)

The only complaint was the music, but I was pleased with the food and cleanliness. The service was a little rude and lacked personalization.

Good place to eat if your hungry and trying to get your moneys worth. They have all kinds of food from rice and noodles to Mongolian pork and peanut chicken they even have a bar with mixed cuisine such as pizza and taquitos. They have an entire sushi bar with a lot of simple choices the ones i get more often are the California roll and the California topped with shrimp avocado and salmon. They also have a made to order stir fry section with noodles, a lot of different vegetables and pork, chicken and shrimp. They have ice cream that tastes like its mainly water based, and also a fruit bar with canteloupe, honey dew, oranges & a lot of other stuff. Waitress does the job right and is attentive. Most of the time if you want something thats out or something thats not fresh you can tell them and they will make it. Most the time the food is fresh thought (the more popular choices).

Big selection, service decent and great Snow Crab legs. I will for sure eat here again when passing by Salem again.

My husband and a friend of ours ate here recently, since they had both had OK experiences eating here in the past. But this time, it was not good at all. I ate what I could. Just the few items that I thought looked cooked enough, and nothing risky. The place is just a mess. Either they lack enough people to do the job, or the customers are horrible, and things are just left unattended, I don’t know. We also noticed mold/​bacteria (something growing) in the vents near the «ice cream» machine. Also when we arrived they must have just gotten through a rush of people I think, because there was barely any food to choose from. I could tell they were trying to help.
A large table that was full of dirty plates ect. was left un cleaned next to us from the time we got seated, till the time we left. The man who «welcomed» us, asked us how many people and then barely uttering a word or two, before scurrying off to apparently show us to our table, which we realized when he looked at us afterwards wondering why we weren’t following. The woman who served our drinks, was quiet/​shy (as usual), but was at least trying to do her job well. She didn’t stick around long enough to hear that our friend wanted a re-​fill on his drink. (probably due to the fact she’s over worked, who knows)…anyways, I will not eat here again, not even going to give it another try. Since I know other places where I can ALWAYS get good food, decent service with fair prices– ALL without a gross looking eating atmosphere. :)

Back when i used to live in the beautiful 503, i frequented this AYCE place.
I actually liked it considering Ive been to quite a few buffets in the west coast. OK selection, large dinning area & price is right. Parking is provided. If i was back in the area id consider it.

More like tin can buffet. Everything I tried was either bland or way over salted. Not only that I went at 6pm for dinner (you think everything would be fresh right?) well it wasn’t. Most of the entrees I got were cold or barely warm; will not eat here again.
Oh on a side note in the «Mongolian Grill» portion of the buffet I noticed raw fish and beef under a heat lamp. Shouldn’t it be on ice; not under direct light/​heat? Gross.
