Never have I stepped into a store anything like this before. Perhaps the only one of it’s kind — which merits the 5th star.(Didn’t like seeing that little bird in a cage — and close to the cold front door but a fabulously unique store.) I hope that this place become THE place for the world to purchase magic wands.

SOOOOOOOOOO dissapointing!!! My daughter is a crazy HP fan and we made the trip here because we read good reviews. In a nut shell, its dusty, dirty and not well cared for at all. I think Harry Potter himself would be upset. Empty dust filled case, dusty windows, it looked like no one cares for it. We literally walked in and out. Then we walked into the gift store, a couple notches up. but again the floor had never been vacuumed, dust on all the products, poorly merchandised. not sure how these people stay in business. Let hope they get their act together because they have the potential to be really great… They need business 101… Left with nothing bust disappointment.

If there’s anywhere a Wand Shop could make it, it’s Salem. I stopped in here once a few years ago when I lived in Salem and it first opened, and it seemed better then — I was able to buy a cold Butterbeer from a fridge and also get my very own Hogwarts acceptance letter. I stopped in again last week on a trip home with the intent to pick up a souvenir for a Harry Potter obsessed friend, and was no longer able to find the Hogwarts letters. I asked about them, and the woman at the register gave me a long-winded response about quills and the shop up the street having dragon blood ink for sale, to the point where I wondered what the heck I had even asked her initially. Sounds to me like a vague way to say you ran into legal issues over a licensed product, so just say it! Other than that, the shop is dim and wooden, and does remind me of a Diagon Alley-esque feel from the movies — cages with stuffed owls, wands on the walls and stacked as high as you can see, and some Harry Potter merch that they apparently ARE allowed to carry, so it’s still worth a stop in if you’re in town and could use a wizarding fix!

If you are a Harry Potter Fan then this is the store for you. You feel like you are walking into the pages of a Harry Potter book when walking into the store. It has that Diagon Ally wand shop feel. A must stop for Harry Potter Fans of all ages!!!

So beautiful inside! My son loved this shop so much! The wands are hand carved and the shop keepers were very helpful. Price was around 19 and up per wand but worth every penny. Fun experience and great craftsmanship

Do you love Harry Potter? I mean truly, madly, deeply LOVE Harry Potter? Like you’ve taken all the quizzes online and know what house you’d be in, what your patronus would look like, what position you’d play in quidditch, etc. You own all the books and the movies, maybe a time turner necklace or a maurader’s map, and maybe even your license plate has a HP reference on it? If you love Harry Potter, THIS store is for you(especially if you can’t get to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ at Universal Orlando). It’s a literal interpretation of what a wand shop in Diagon Alley might look like. It’s small, it’s dark, everything is decorated in wood and hues of brown, and it’s pretty empty besides the boxes upon boxes of wands on shelfs against the walls. Which wand will choose you? Something made of birch with a griffins feather? Or maybe maple with a kitten’s whisker? You’ll have to hold each one, feel the balance in your hand, and listen to your heart. That is… if you can get inside. My biggest issues with this place is a) that they only allow about eight people inside at a time(no, seriously, there’s even«security» at the door). My family, for example, couldn’t all go in because there were four of us. So my dad chose to wait outside since he had seen the shop before. That was kind of annoying — what if I was a HUGE Harry Potter fan and my dad wanted to enjoy that experience with me? Too bad, so sad. Move along. The prices ranged from $ 25 to $ 35… again, I personally have no need for a Harry Potter wand, but if this place existed maybe 10 or 12 years ago, I might have purchased one for my little sister for her birthday or something. There was a ten year old who was receiving a wand from his grandfather while we were there, and the kid was all but crying he was so excited. So — this place is definitely worth experiencing(because I promise you it feels EXACTLY how you would think/hope it would based on reading the books/watching the movies)! Only other thing of note — and this is just because I find it humorous — are the signs everywhere that say«WEARENOTAFFILIATEDWITHHARRYPOTTER». Really pulls down that fourth dimension, and… c’mon, they so, totally are!

A beautifully realized store specializing in a plethora of wands based on JK Rowling’s «Harry Potter» books. As Ravena F. noted in her review, walking through the door is like stepping onto Diagon Alley. The amount of detail in the décor is astonishing and sure to delight Harry Potter fans of all ages. When I was there a few years ago, I believe it had just been open a short while. My sister and I chatted with the owner for a little while and he seemed like a really nice guy with a genuine passion for the HP series. It’s definitely a niche store, so I was hoping it would stand the test of time. Salem, MA is definitely one of the best cities I could imagine having a store like this, and it seemed like a wonderful addition to the area.

Oh sweet JK Rowling, I’ve found heaven. For any Harry Potter fan, young or old, Wynott’s is like stepping into the book. The wand shop looks just like Ollivander’s! The staff are super friendly and indulge your dreams of owl-mail and wizard duels. You might find yourself in an impromptu trivia session as you debate book facts, but that’s just part of the fun. For the über-nerds, you can visit with the shop finches, Fred and George, or go next door to see the replica Nimbus 2001that Tom Felton(a.k.a. Draco Malfoy) signed. And for the more petite über-nerds, you can rent the replica Great Hall in the back of the store for your Halloween feasts or birthday parties. Visit this place. Buy their wands. Geek out. You won’t be disappointed.

«Makers of Fine Wands Since 1692» Already using temporal magic I see, given that this store just had it’s grand opening on 9÷15÷2012! Spatial magic as well: I thought I was walking along Wharf street, when I popped inside this storefront and suddenly found myself on Diagon Alley(of Harry Potter fame). Inside you’ll find a cashier dressed as Dumbledore, as well as wands. Wands upon wands, many of which are touted to be exact replicas of those wielded by Harry and Hermione and co. For such a narrow market, I do hope they can stay in business, as this truly is a one-of-a-kind shoppe. And if it’s going to survive anywhere, it’s bound to right here in the magical city of Salem.
