Stayed here because work booked me here. 9 glorious nights. Fortunately, only there enough for sleeping. The good: Air conditioning worked. Microwave and fridge did too. TV fine. Running water, hot and cold. The bad: Smoke alarm missing, though after a couple of days someone tucked the loose wires up into the ceiling! Walls dirty, like an auto mechanic was working in the room. Big red lipstick kiss below the peephole. Bath towels and wash cloths thing and dirty. Yes it’s on a freeway on ramp, but I learned that the AC/heat could cancel that out. Best of luck to those who dare!

Ok this place is HORRIBLE do not waist your money. First we get there and the light switch didn’t work. No biggie ok so then I stayed there with my friend and children the child had an accident and they didn’t change the sheets. Ok so I bring it to there attention then they do not strip the bed and make it. I had to do it isn’t that why we stay in a hotel. Now there are bugs that’s correct bugs in the form of roaches. That’s right roaches you had them crawling around as well. Then the bathroom we asked for more towels we asked for more towels and that was apparently a lot to ask because we were met with an attitude there as well they didn’t want to give us more towels. I mean come on towels really. What’s the big deal? Then you try to close the bathroom door and it hits the toilet as you close the bathroom door. Oh did I mention we had exposed wires in the middle of the room. It definitely needs a serious upgrade. Ghetto is a understatement Do Not Waist Your TiIME or YOURMONEY. DONOTSTAYHERE

Un peu cher pour l’endroit et l’emplacement. Les chambres sont bruyantes car l’autoroute passé vraiment juste a côté. Le petit déj et le parking sont inclus et le wifi est plutôt pas trop pourri. La literie en revanche est excellente.

Do not get a room facing the freeway. Could not sleep one minute the noise was horrendous.

Almost decent. Definitely not worth $ 100 for one person. The room smelled very strongly of chemical cleaners. Stains on the carpet and sheets. Black mildew or mold in the bathroom. The bath tub drain didn’t close so I rigged something up to take a bath. Scratchy towels and poor quality soap. That’s about it. Free breakfast! we’ll see how that is. OK, breakfast was a Danish and terrible coffee. Had to argue to get a noon checkout, and the maid still knocked at 11am. I have allergies today from the room.

They had running water, clean toilet, shower, sink, free Wi-Fi and a cheap AAA rate. We were staying here for an event we were attending at the Laguna Seca raceway. I didn’t expect too much and was happy with the amenities but the location is a bit sketchy since it’s by the freeway. Also the personality of the front desk person sucked and at one point a little kid came out from behind the desk and was just playing around back there. A sincere smile and thank you can make a crappy hotel seem a little bit more welcoming.

Very clean room. From looking at the outside you’d think it wouldn’t be so nice, but we were impressed for the price. We had a room right on the highway, we were worried about the noise, but nothing. It was a nice surprise. Only bummer was no real breakfast or coffee offered. Besides the nasty in — room stuff.(Ick) Dennys is close by luckily.

I almost couldn’t write this review; the wi-fi kept logging me out. Slow when it works, and it doesn’t work much. Larger and more attractive room than typical for this tier of motels. Pleasant staff, very good housekeeping. Obnoxious highway noise – on ramp is 50 or so feet from the room. Breakfast is pathetic. Non-smoking room smelled vaguely of cigarettes. I’ll hit«post» now and hope something happens.

We pulled in late and first checked in to the motel 5 next door. We immediately checked out after moving to 2 different rooms. The America’s Best Value was a completely different experience. They have new everything in the rooms and the family on site couldn’t have been nicer. Next time in the area I would definitely stay here again! DON’T MAKETHEMISTAKEANDGONEXTDOOR. That place needs to be shut down

Terrible 2 night stay. Close to the freeway so you can hear trucks all night long. Other guests were very loud. You can hear every word through the walls as if they were in the same room with you. You would think the night manager would have been more help and«MANAGE» the situation. If your passing through Salinas keep driving and look for another over priced hotel/motel. At least if you stay in Monterrey at another sleazy hotel you can leave the hotel and see some sights. Not Here! Very over priced at 89/night.

This is an okay hotel. The room is what you’d expect(but extra comfy pillows), but perhaps even a bit bigger than most. It is noisy because it is right next to the freeway, but it’s that type of hotel — designed for motorists just pulling off the freeway for a night. If you book it online you might not realize it. I booked on line and paid $ 54/night but I think I could have gotten any place around here for that rate without booking ahead. Although the two women working at the front desk were nice, I had a frustrating experience with them and the wifi. I told them that the wifi wasn’t working but they were sure it must just be my computer. I assured them that it wasn’t but they got a tech support guy on the phone to talk to me. He realized that there was a problem with the line and tried to fix it. The fix didn’t work so I called the front desk again(I only stayed here because they had free wifi as I needed it for my work), and she again tried to say it was my computer and I should talk to tech support. After about 90 minutes, they finally got the wifi working. I think it was good that they worked to fix it. I think it is nice that they will get you a tech support person on the phone to work with you, but I was annoyed that they kept telling me the problem was on my end. My only other gripe is that there was no clock radio in the room.

I’ve stayed at the America’s Best Value Inn multiple times. It is a decent motel with some nice features. For the price you pay I feel you get a good value, especially when compared to neighboring motels. Based on price: the rooms are nice, they come with a mini-fridge, never had issues with the front staff, the freeway noise wasn’t really that bad, in my opinion, but at the end of the day realize you’re getting a hotel by a freeway people. To be honest when I stayed at the motel it was when I was younger and friends and I wanted a place to party. We never got kicked out or anything, not that we had ragers or anything. In fact the staff told me before to tell them ahead of time that we’re going to be having a good time, so they can place us away from other rooms allowing us to have a good time while avoiding annoying others. Now that’s customer service.

Marginal, but convenient. The room was clean although the carpet was stained, and one of the pillows had deteriorated into a sack of loose foam chunks. The rate was better than other motels online, but not enough that I’d recommend giving this place a shot. Here’s why: the motel is located on an off-ramp of the 101. There’s only about 60 feet between your bed and the semi trucks rolling down the freeway(see my picture taken from the door of my room). The place was loud, but easy to get away from the next morning. Also, the guy(manager, owner?) at the front desk has a lousy attitude. He just laughed at me when I asked for a room further from the freeway, saying they were all full or being painted. The fact that our car was the only one in the lot made me question that, although later that evening there were more cars. Also, when I was checking in he asked me to initial a form. While I was reading it over he repeated«initial», and then a couple beats later shouted my initials at me, «M.H.!» — as if I didn’t know the meaning of the word.
