This place needs massive improvements. $ 160 for a dump.

Dingy dingy dingy. There’s a gate right in front of the hotel with old furniture. The room had stains all over the walls. TV only had one working channel and wifi kept kicking me off. I woke up with bug bites all down my back and the breakfast was nothing more than a dirty looking pastry case. Not a fan.

We’d reserved a handicap room. On arrival, we could not get into it because furniture, bedding, etc. was removed and they were spraying for cockroaches! They let us use the room next door to get ready for a wedding we were attending, but I couldn’t bathe or go to the bathroom(not accessible). When we came back they told us the room was almost ready and we couldn’t stay where we were because it was rented. We «discussed» the matter – we could smell the chemicals in that room(both of us have lung problems, my husband toting and using his oxygen), they’d put back the same bedding and furniture(cockroaches don’t leave such items but hide in them), and they weren’t done cleaning the room. We would have left if we’d been able to drive back home, and we were too worn out to leave and search for another place to stay – on the chance that there were handicap rooms available in the area. They let us stay in the temporary room, but we had to find a place to buy a urinal, as I couldn’t use the toilet. We could smell the chemicals all night coming through to that room from the infested one. We didn’t sleep much for fear that we’d have uninvited guests in our bed. It was a horrendous experience!

Even for a cheap hotel this place was a waste of money. Three floors and only a staircase to haul your luggage up. Lamps were all unplugged so we had to fumble around in the dark until we figured out how to get some light in the room. The floor was probably softer to sleep on. Pass this one by and look for something better!

It was a huge disappointment! We traveled from Orange County to Salinas for a funeral. I booked 4 rooms and had called a few days before to be certain that all 4 rooms would be on the same floor. I was traveling with 2 elderly couples, my single female cousin, my husband and 2 year old daughter. My husband and I wanted to make sure we were all close in case of an emergency. I was told over the phone by Andy that, that would not be a problem! When we arrived it was a whole different story! They did not have these rooms ready so we ended up on different floors. We went in the rooms and they were not clean or comfortable. One room had a fridge and microwave stacked with wires hanging all over the place which was a safety concern. Another room had a phone that could not accept calls but were able to make calls. We all needed to shower and get ready for the funeral and to our surprise there were no towels in any of the rooms. When we called the front desk we were told that towels are delivered at the end of the cleaning shift! We had to go purchase towels at a local store which was ridiculous! There was also a lot of drug and prostitution activity at this hotel. It was obviously too late for us to cancel and move on to another hotel due to time constraint. It was an overall terrible experience and I would hate for anyone to go through this!

Only two things that are good about this place is the price and the free Wi-Fi! Stayed here for the weekend of the 4th of july and this place was very sketchy I think the guy next door was running a drug store out of his room and every time i went out of my room it seemed like ppl showed up asking for cigarettes or change. I felt like I was in the tenderloin of SF.

I stayed here last week for 6 nights and the place was your typical motel — not too snazzy but fits the bill if you’re looking for somewhere cheap to stay on a budget. The people who worked here were pretty nice; they gave us a ton of extra towels and moved us to another, nicer room when our air conditioning went out. Our room had a fridge, microwave, a tv with a gazillion stations, a really out-of-date air conditioner, and the best thing of all: free wireless internet! The reason I’m taking a few stars off this place is because the place wasn’t 99.9% clean — something that totally bugs me — and because of the very sketchy area. I was a bit worried to park my car in this place’s lot because it seemed so sketchy. It’s only about 30 minutes away from Monterey, so if you’re on a budget, I’d recommend staying here despite the sketchiness!
