I have been making a two hour drive to see Cathy for about 12 years now. My sister found her when she moved to Salinas, and we have all been going to her ever since. To drive two hours for my hair– well that says a lot. She is incredible! I do not trust anyone in the bay to get the job done. I’m not willing to take that chance. I’ll continue to drive over 100 miles every six weeks to ensure my hair is looking way better than the next chick. She took me from black to blonde, and I’m very pleased. Plus, she’s got a nice booty. Hahahhahaha. That’s a plus.

Cody gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. Ever! Great service, great prices, beautiful salon. Have your hair done here, it’ll make you happy.

I’m 64 years young and have gone to many many hair stylists in my life. Catherine is the best. She turns my fine limp hair into a style I can easily recreate. Catherine is a beautiful, fun person that anyone would like to emulate. As if that were not enough… she can dance.

I’ve had my hair done by Cody a few times and have always been sooooo happy with the results. People will stop and ask who cut your hair. Cody has an talent for knowing what looks good. The shop is cute, and Cody will make you feel like a VIP client. The prices are fair and after one visit you’ll know you’ll have found your stylist!

I have been a client of Catherine’s for 10 years. I originally found her when I asked a woman who had done her highlights; she had achieved a very nice golden blond highlight without a hint of brass. She directed me to Cathy and I haven’t looked back since!
The colors she has done on my hair run the gamut from very dark (almost black), to very light (almost blond) and everything in between. Shes done rich red highlights all shades of blonds and browns, and always beautifully.
The products that she sells in her salon have been some of the best stuff I have evry used. I can always trust that she is going to give me direction as to keep my hair at its healthiest. Her biominal oil treatments are awesome!
My boyfriend loves Cathy too, not only cause she as does mens hair, but cause he credits her with making him feel like he has a new girlfriend every two months! Her work is hot… to the point that people will approach you wanting to know who does your hair.
Over the years, so many of my friends and family have made the trip to her salon (we are in San Francisco) because what she does is simply not easy to find. And further more, the way that she does it, with such excitement and almost a sensuality… makes your time in her chair such an enjoyable experience!

Cody is a genius! He took his time and examined my hair to see what cut would work. I needed help and he did it! He is very friendly and is cute as a button. He is also a Christian which is way cool. I will definitively go back.

This place rocks. I finally made the switch from getting my hair did at the «stop and chop» places because i got tired of having to re-​explain my cut every time (with mixed results) and couldn’t be more happy at Dubonte. The place is clean, people are friendly and the price is right (for a dude hair cut). HIGHLY recommend this place!

I used to live in LA and loved my stylist down there. When I moved back to the Bay area, I was worried that I wouldn’t find the quality– I was wrong. Kathy, owner of Dubonte Salon is extremely talented, down to earth AND honest. If she doesn’t think that a style will look fabulous on you, she will not do it.
My Mother pays about $ 30 for her hair cut, where I pay $ 65. All I’m going to say is, you get what you pay for. It may be a little pricey for Salinas, however, I LOVE my cut [and color when I do get it] every time! Highly recommended.

Cody does a good job. He takes his time and is always super friendly.
His prices are reasonable which is a plus.
