We have ordered lumpia and ponsit for years from this family place. It is always fresh and delicious. I don’t know why someone was so harsh in their review? A competition? Please support a great Philipino tradition in Salinas.

I keep forgetting to write this review. I’ve eaten here a half a dozen times in the last 10yrs. Something different I guess. It’s not like I even crave Filipino chow. I drive by and say oh yah… Filipino chow… sure! Anyway after a few bites I’m over it and good for another year. So me even giving this place a fair review is a bit unfair. Not much to see here, a few tables, a few snack, a couple of racks of groceries and a hot table of prepared foods. Thats it. All a little mashed up. I’m not sure why it cost so much this time around, a couple of two item combos and some sweet rice for 24 bucks and change. Not really a deal is it? Kinda salty… really salty! Last words… water please!

I’d give zero stars if it would let me ! These people are crooks. I went in there to get chocolate meat for my mom, because she is sick and she misses filipino food. I go in there and order a large cup of dinuguan(chocolate meat) Large rice and a small pork adobo. He charged: Large dinuguan: $ 16.95 Small Pork adobo $ 8.95 Large Rice $ 5.95 I’ve never bought philipino food before, so I just payed it. It seemed like a lot to me, so I decided to call Camalig Filipino Cuisine and their prices for the same sizes and the same food are literally cut in half ! He agreed I got taken =( I will NEVEREVER go back to this place again !! Its very wrong to take advantage of innocent people. I’m on a fixed income and I have a disabled child. Times are hard and being screwed over isn’t cool when your already struggling. Manila Ranch YOUSHOULDBEASHAMEDOFYOURSELF !!! Also I called back to Manila Ranch because I was so upset and they answered the phone in perfect english and all happy and hey there, and all what can I do for you style and I kindly remind them that I’m the lady that came in and bought the Large dinuguan for $ 16.95 and all of a sudden he says,” huh what? I know know what you say, I know no english” and he hangs up. Please be advised… there are pretty shady people there. Its sad =(

Big fan. Good variety of dishes, most of them tasty. Quite affordable. $ 20 will feed several people. Where else can you find Filipino food in Salinas?

I come here on the weekends, when my work’s cafeteria is closed. I don’t really shop here, so I can’t really say anything about their groceries. What I can say is their food to go. You can get a combination(rice with 2 sides) for around $ 6. Food is good, but like most Filipino food, they will be greasy. But they actually have some good selections. I’ve had their dinuguan(chocolate meat) their tocino, pork adobo, beef steak w/onions, and beef stick. The food good and would recommend it. Whenever I would have a Filipino food craving(since i’m not really good at cooking) I would go here to get some quick and easy bite to it. They actually have a dine in area, but it’s really small, since it’s inside the store. The owner(I think she is) and the staff are pretty friendly. No complaints yet.

This is a place to definitely stay away from! This place is extremely filthy, inside and out, and it’s a wonder why they are still in business. OMG I realize filipino food can be extremely pricey, but this is really just the tip of the iceburg. I realize lent is the season for fasting, but also, and for most religious individuals, they stay away from eating any type of red meat. We called in for a fish order, and ordered 4 large fried Talapia. When we arrived, the guy working the counter had looked like he belong on the street begging for food, he’s just flithy looking. If he owns the business, or part owners, OMG, show some pride. Oh, but then again, by the way this place looks, It certainly resembles exactly the way looks. FILTHYFILTHY. Now, back to my fried Talapia story… it cost us almost $ 40 for 4MEDIUM sized fishes… You would think, by the pricing, it’s some sort of Ahi Tuna, but damn, for Talapia! This is the last time I am going there… I absolutely DONOTRECOMMENDTHISPLACE!

The grocery side has very limited choices. They only sell the basics, soy sauce, fish sauce, bagoong, cook mixes, chips etc. The restaurant side is rather grungy. I came in almost their closing time so I got the last batch of the food and they still charged me $ 15 for a pint even if it was not filled. They apparently save left overs for the next day as I asked the owner what they do with a lot of unsold food. That’s not what I wanted to hear.

I absolutely hated this place! My boyfriend took me here and wow did I regret it ! The food was okay, if that ! ALL of there soy sauce had mold in it! And I seen roach and ant spray sitting out freely ! The lady wasn’t even embarrassed of her store! I didn’t even eat my food! I will never go back there and will never suggest for somebody to eat there ! Oh and got my lumpia order wrong I had ordered beef not vegetable ! Horrible experience.

Manila Ranch Market catered my wedding on Sept. 1st. All of my guests absolutely loved all the Filipino food and desserts, especially the Lechon(whole roast pig). Not only was it all delicious, but everything looked beautiful. For some of our guests, this was their first experience with Filipino food. I received nothing but wonderful feedback on each and every dish. Some of the best compliments came from my Filipino family members who definitely loved the food and the authenticity. Loida and her staff were fabulous. They even contacted me weeks before the wedding, asked about my color scheme, and decorated the buffet station. Loida was great to communicate with overall. She was able to accomodate all of my family’s preferences and stay within our budget. Manila Ranch had many different dishes to choose from and they even were able to provide dishes for our vegetarian and vegan friends, which, for those of you who know about Filipino cuisine, vegetarian dishes are not easy to come by. But Loida made sure our evening and dinner was a hit. Seriously – there was an abundance of delicious food. Our 100 guests were all able to grab seconds. I truly recommend this local business if you need catering for any event. Great family service, great communication, delicious food. As a bride, I cannot express how much I appreciate the people who contribute to making the wedding memorable. Loida and her staff definitely helped do so, taking off a lot of the pressure and providing a wonderful, beautiful, and delicious buffet. Thank you Loida & Manila Ranch!

I just had Manila Ranch cater(take out) a party for me and I got rave reviews from my guests. I had the teriyaki chicken, pansit and lumpia. I’ve gotten to know some filipino foods from friends in the area and it’s always a hit at parties so I decided to serve this at a party. Even the kids loved the food. The lady who took my order was very friendly and helpful. She helped me figure out how much to order for the size of my party. I like the location, plenty of parking and easy to find right on North Main Street. I’d recommend for your next party or just stop in for lunch take out!
