What do you do when you’re 10 feet away and your waitress who took your order thirty minutes ago hasn’t even looked your direction? You go right to the waitress and ask her «what’s going on with our drink order?»
She then gets another waitress to come and ask us what we had ordered. What?! Not a sorry. Nothing… Ten minutes later… Drinks! Ten minutes after that? We left!!!
We’re our sad to see that this place is more about turn over than quality service. Reasons why they don’t stick around.

Tuesday nights. Live ACOUSTIC REGGAE with COOL AND EASY 7−10pm. 5 dollar margaritas, beer specials, half off happy hour appetizers all night. No cover. This is a good time with fun music. The Cobb salad is amazing, the chicken ranch California sandwich, the chicken strips, the fish and chips, and the fish tacos are all delicious too.

Will not go back. This must be the most inconsistent place I have ever been to. One visit you get great service with great food the next day you get crap service (serving excuses rather than apologies or solutions) and food which I wouldn’t serve to anyone (note: if it doesn’t look good it doesn’t taste good). I would frequent SSP with my family; it was a nice place for food and sports. If i was the owner, i would fire the entire staff and employ folks who WANT to work. TWICE we were left without drinks for over 30 minutes; in this time we could have ordered 2 drinks each at my table of 4! How does this happen? We were one of 4 tables with people at them? No excuses! They didn’t even have to work for us, just bring drinks!
SSP, i’m sick of making excuses for you and I am sorry (you should be sorry, not me) I WILL NEVER GO TO SEE YOU AGAIN.

Awesome Philly Sandwich… cool place to watch sport events as they have tvs set up around the whole place. If you’re in town pay a visit. I highly recommend!

Hard to get a drink here, even when not very busy. The renovations seem nice, but customer service comes first. Unfortunately, not sure I’ll be back.

Food was good, a little over priced for what we got… Kind of sucks that we paid $ 6 for a pint of beer and there was no choice for a bigger glass… Very clean and had a sick pool set up… Service was good, never let me have an empty beer and there was even a band later. All in all pretty good. If I’m ever in the area again we will come back.

Where do I start?
I started with a gin and ginger ale. The drink seemed weak.
My next drink was a slightly dirty, Hendricks Gin Martini. The waitress came back with the menu and told me the «martini» was not on the menu. I had to explain what and how to make the drink I ordered.
After all the effort, this basic cocktail was marginal at best… Again, it seemed watered down.
I remember when this was the Penny Farthing and all in all it was a great place. To call the Salinas Sports Tavern a «bar» is using the word loosely!
I hope they hire a new bartender and train their wait staff!
Probably won’t be coming back.
