I used to stay here years ago when it was managed by a nice family from India who would rent me a room for just 30.00. Since then however, the new guy is a total idiot who charges twice what I use to pay to stay in this flea bag hotel. He also has some homeless looking bum with a beard acting as a manager in there. I’m thinking the only people who stay here are either tourists that can’t find any other hotel, or most probably drug sellers and hookers that pay the extra money because they don’t need to show an ID. Stay away from this dump like the plague.

Most disgusting, filthy, rundown, and scary place I’ve ever attempted to sleep. This place makes Tijuana look like the French Riviera. Stay away!

DONOTSTAYHEREIFYOUVALUEYOURLIFE! Absolute scariest travel experience of my life! After a long day of hiking my boyfriend and I were so exhausted we just wanted to find a place to crash. We were desperate and almost slept in our car which would have been 1000 times better than this place. Every hotel/motel was booked and this place had availability for half the price of the others which should have been a red flag. However my boyfriend and I have stayed in some pretty low end places when traveling in other countries so we thought we could handle it. I WASWRONG. Immediately after receiving our room key we over hear some sketchy people outside talking about how one of them was just stabbed yesterday… Then we walk back to our room while getting eyed by a ton of sketchy people who were«hanging out» in the parking lot. Pretty sure there was a prostitution, drug deals, etc going on all night. The room was the absolute worst I have ever seen. It was fifthly and the bathroom window had been broken and was now covered with ply wood which should have been our sign to get out! We were so tried we tried to ignore it all and just pass out. I felt like I was in about to be a murder victim on CSI. Within 5 minutes of laying down we hear a knock on the door. We get up and no one was there so we tell ourselves maybe it was someone knocking on the door next to us… Definitely not! We fall asleep for a few hours then hear our phone ring. My boyfriend picked up and it was a man speaking in Spanish asking us what we were doing. He hung up. Then the phone ringed again with the same exact thing… Then 15 minutes later a man was at our window trying to break in!!! My boyfriend yelled for him to get the F@$k out of here at the top of his lungs and we jumped out if bed! The man ran away and we packed up our shit and finally left! That was the absolute scariest experience of my life! When we tried to explain what happened to the owner He wouldn’t even give us our money back even though we only stayed at that hell hole a few hours and almost died!

We ended up defaulting to this place when the hotel we originally booked gave our reservation away. But that’s another story. Every other hotel in a 50 mile radius was booked because of events in the area that weekend, but not this place. They had ample availability, even at 11pm. Maybe it was because the manager was still insisting on charging full price($ 110), even though it was late and they weren’t going to get many more takers. But more likely, it was because the place was terrifying. Really. And we live in East Oakland — we’re used to scary. There were shifty people milling around the parking lot looking like they were up to no good, they eyed us creepily as we walked by. Pretty sure someone was running a meth lab in one of the rooms, or maybe in that RV that looked like it hadn’t moved in months. The soda machine was empty, the TV was broken, the A/C was broken, the only towels they gave us were two *tiny* hand towels, the staff was gruff and suffered from language barrier issues. At least the bed was sleepable and the water pressure was good. Never again!

A desperate motel for desperate people, otherwise I would have never stayed there. The smell is something I’ll never forget. And how about hairs in the towels and hairpins everywhere. Who knows when that carpet was last cleaned, don’t take off your shoes. I was so glad I woke up without bed bugs bites, it was like a miracle. But yeah, avoid.
