I run on my lunch breaks and when I run by the bakery I almost want to quit and have lunch or a snack. The smell is amazing. So I actually stopped in today and had a gluten-free brownie. I was sold on it being a brownie, not because it was gluten-free. Needless to say it was delicious. I also had some sort of apple pastry that had some clear/white frosting on top and it was so flaky when I bit into it. It was everything I had hoped it would be when I was envisioning going there. Thanks Salisbury Breads!

This little bakery shop is located directly next to Sweet Williams coffee shop. Both shops make their own baked goods but each one appears to have its own specialty. Salisbury Breads specializes in various breads(duh), croissants, chocolate croissants, and large pies. Sweet Williams, in addition to making coffee, specializes in muffins, cookies, little pies, and scones. So both business don’t really appear to compete against each other. Instead, they seem to compliment each other. I purchased a chocolate croissant(in Paris it’s called a pain au chocolat). It was a little different than what I’m used to. It wasn’t bad, it was just different. Instead of being light/flakey it was kinda dense/heavy. That didn’t bother me because I hadn’t eaten breakfast and actually needed something of substance. I would have liked to try one of the baguettes but unfortunately they were all sold out when I visited. They had other fancier breads sitting on the shelf but they seemed to be a little too pricey for me. The baguettes were more reasonably priced.
