Great atmosphere. Love the deck area. Great to go on a night when Salisbury has their fireworks over the ocean. Beer selection is pretty standard and the food is just okay.

I’ve been here many times for a few drinks. More often than not it is nearly impossible to get served in a timely manner. You have to flag down the bartenders, which I HATE doing. I feel rude and pushy when I must resort to that. I decided to try some food out on the deck one day this summer. That was a mistake. I ordered the pulled pork nachos. Who knew that nachos could be screwed up! A five year old could make better nachos in the microwave for me. The pork was drier than your grandmother’s… Sand. Lol! And the cheese wasn’t even melted. There were three of us in my party. We were all dissatisfied. I feel bad for the waitress that had to serve those embarrassing meals all day. I loathe this place, yet I keep giving it another shot. I’ve been «trying» the place since 2012. I might finally be done for good.

Great deck with and outstanding view. Unbelievable spinich and artichoke dip. Decent prices for drink and good music.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Not only is this the place to be in the summer with amazing water views, great drinks (Tailspin!) and food (chicken BLT yum!!) but the i honestly cannot say enough about the staff! Our waitress Katie was AMAZING! From the second we walked in she was trying to find the right seat for us (water view in the sun!) and the right drink and what we would like to eat! We went there numerous times during our 4 day stay and she ALWAYS came over and made us feel so welcome and special! I also have to mention the manager Lori, who took the time to personally come to our table over and over to make sure we were enjoying ourselves! It’s pretty rare that a manager comes to your table and gets to know the customers. I have to say Lori, Katie and the staff at the Surfside really made our vacation! It was sad to leave! Thanks so much! See you all again soon!

Surfside 5 is a much needed addition to the Salisbury Beach area, thank you for helping raise the bar and bring life back into this place.
The deck is literally on top of the beach and is an amazing spot to be. Stop by and have a drink, listen to some music and have fun!
The afternoon music on Saturday before the rush begins is great – Red tail hawk plays here a lot, check them out.
Pro Tip: Try to get there early on the weekends or else you may not get in, unless you want to wait in a line that never ends for fun!
Lastly, the staff: Everyone I have encountered here is nothing but nice and happy to help, even when the place is packed. Special to note that Erica the manager is extremely accommodating and a true gem.

2 years ago I came to this place and never wanted to return. My boyfriend however wanted to eat on the dock, and I thought it’s been many years let me try it again.
This past Friday night The only thing this restaurant is good at is their drinks. It took a half an hour for a hummus platter, and when the waitress dropped it of I asked if our food be out soon. She informed me our ticket hasn’t even been started yet. We had to leave and get food somewhere else. I was so aggravated. Even the menu said live music on Friday and there was nothing!
On a good note the manager did comp the hummus platter since it took so long and we never got our food.

This place is awesome. I came here with my girlfriend during the 4^th of July holidays and we spent everyday at the surfside. The staff is friendly snd ptompt. the firework was spectacular. The reggae night was fun and very lively. It actually felt like we were in a mini cruise. check this place out.

Love them rum drinks they have. And if you go during the day you can sit on the deck and get a tan it’s perfect it’s a must to stop by and check out !!!

This was my first time here and wow what service! Friendly and fun location that has a great menu for the deck. I will be back again to reserve the VIP tent and enjoy more of the entertainment. Music was not too loud. meats and salads were perfect. They are generous with the amount they serve you — great value. Compliments to the management. your workers are happy and the best on the coast.

I think they made a great effort to improve the service from what I have read about last years’ reviews. We had a group get together last sunday here and we had great service. The girls couldn’t have been nicer and more attentive. We had a great time, the view is great. I thought the band would be more reggae for a sunday afternoon. They were a bit too rock and roll and loud for starters. The good band didn’t start until 5 and we just can’t stay out that late on a sunday. Why would we after being in the beautiful sun all day.

Today was our third and most likely last visit here. It has a great location with a beautiful deck overlooking the ocean.
The problem is the service is slow and inept. We sat for twenty minutes before being approached. Once she did come, we requested menus and she was gone again to come back, drove them on the table and say she’d be back.
This is an outside, oceanside bar and café. The menu had no true appetizers. They had wraps and tacos. What was listed as a appetizers were inappropriate for the setting.
This was our third or fourth time here. The service is always poor and the food lacking.

Well I don’t know where to start really, other than we walked in because our friend was craving lobster and we asked where we could sit and she said it was open game wherever we could find a spot, we found like a weird middle table that was more like a bar high table no one greeted us or said anything until I asked if someone could give us some service that was after 10 minutes of sitting there.
We then had the waitress come over finally another almost 10 minutes later asked what we wanted to drink and then I had to ask for Menus our waitress was very slow and would go to other parties that had gotten there after us before asking us finally what we wanted to order, they had mussels on the menu but she said they wouldn’t be there for another week, so we ordered the crab cakes as a app. for the record 15.00 for two small crab cakes is overpriced.
I then ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese, the lobster was ok, not alot of flavor, my husband had the Pulled pork sandwich which he liked and our friend had the lobster dinner and a piña colada. They came out with my food 15 minutes earlier than the other to so by the time they got their food I had finished eating.
Then it took forever to refill drinks and silverware, it was just not a great experience at all. The view was nice but ill never go again.

Surfside 5 is a great patio spot right on the beach with great views. Service was pretty good, the atmosphere was fun, and the food and drinks were decent.
Good margaritas and rum punch, pretty good lobster roll– though I was disappointed that the bun was not buttered nor toasted.
Early band was painful to our ears, but the 5pm reggae band redeemed to be much better.
Overall great spot for food and drinks after a day at the beach in Salisbury.

This was my first time here. I am disappointed. Every time I went to get a drink at the bar I felt ignored. I thought that it would be fun to sit on the outdoor deck right off the beach, but for the most part all I saw was people that had been served too much spilling drinks and almost running into other patrons. There drinks were also sub par to other bars on the beach and more expensive.
I will not be returning.

Fun time good drinks on a gorgeous day. It was our first time here not only at this bar but Salisbury itself. The only thing that really sucks is the lack of seating. Once people get a table their not leaving. If your looking to sit get here early.

We stopped here for lunch after a failed attempt to go to Newburyport due to the parade in town. I had high hopes since it was on the water and fairly crowded. I will start out with the only positive by saying the piña colada was good. However, the rest was horrendous. I got the extremely over priced lobster roll. It tasted of salt water, was rubbery, and just awful. My husband got the chicken sandwich. A boiled piece of plain unseasoned chicken with undercooked bacon and lettuce and tomato. Awful. It just appears that could care less about their food. Our waitress was very nice but the slowest service ever. Totally overpriced and extremely disappointing.

I tagged along one fine Saturday with my roommate, she had to come up this way for work and boy-​oh-​boy am I craving a Surfside 5 day right now.
It’s nothing spectacular but at the same time it’s that piece of sand glass that stands out on a beach walk too, among all the dirty, broken shells.
You walk in, bar and seating area — not that large but the outside deck, oh man. It’s a sight, overlooking the ocean. OH MAN IT’S A SIGHT — I SAID!!!
Bar staff, wait staff — awesome, friendly.
The event they had that day was a SUP race, that was fun to watch! And they also had live music on the deck, that was so cool!!!
You’re literally on the beach at this place, so catching some rays, drinking some drinks and snacking on food is all a plus. the only reason I’m giving it 4 and not 5, here is the big kicker in the behind — the food is mediocre AND they don’t have french fries!!! I was up in arms about this, almost but I mean, who doesn’t have fries?! Oh, don’t substitute for the potato salad. it is. different.
Based on atmosphere, having tons of events happening and location this place is awesome, it’s the sub-​par food that marks off on here. The cesar wrap was good and the menu looks tasty but french fries man!

This place made a really nice impression on me last summer. which is why I chose to go there for my birthday this year. I’ve only ever been for Sunday afternoons (4−8pm) when Hot Like Fire plays. They’re an awesome reggae band and actually played at my sister’s wedding!
I know there is a $ 10 cover charge but the entertainment is great and there is a huge deck over looking the ocean. Can’t beat the music and views!

I love coming here and look forward to it every summer. I go on Sunday afternoons to see the reggae band Hot Like Fire (they are awesome) and drink with friends. There is a huge deck outside where the band plays and a dance floor. Drinks can be purchased outside and the wait for drinks is never long. Lots of tables outside on the deck and a cover over the dance floor to get some shade on really hot days. Cover charge is $ 10…not to bad and drinks aren’t too expensive either. They make an awesome rum punch that I can’t get enough of. I have only eaten here once because I usually go for Cristy’s Pizza afterwards. My sandwich was just okay.
Don’t come for the food, come for the fun. Drinks, dancing and sunny weather by the beach. On Sunday’s get there early or you will have to wait in a really long line. The place fills up quick. Perfect for a girls night out.

This place is a fun place with friendly staff, lively bartenders, and a huge outdoor deck (could use some outdoor heaters for the ocean breeze) overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
I was lucky to catch the last night of Surfside as they closed for the season. It was Reggae Sunday. It was fun with people dancing and having a good time and Hot Like Fire playing reggae to help fuel the fun.
