Kirk, the genial owner and barista of Tastebuds, informs me that they do take credit cards these days through the Square reader, but he, as always, prefers cold hard cash. :) Drop by and have a chai, a smoothie and a coffee to go. Maybe a pastry, too! Like someone else mentioned, there are plenty of wall outlets if you want to pull out the laptop and hang out. And chess boards if you fancy a match.

I’ve only been a handful of times with my husband and daughter, but it’s just a stone’s throw away from our house so it’s a nice little place to walk to for coffee and baked goods. The baked goods are tasty and delicious. The owner is nice and very talented. He knows his products backwards and forwards. The coffee never fails to impress and the smoothies and other drinks are so great. I recommend this to everyone in Salisbury. There’s something for everyone :)

Stopped in after work, asked for recommendations. The guy had lots, which I took as a good sign. Got the Rolo chocolate-caramel latte. Very local feel to the place, I felt like an outsider for not talking salisbury bands and dinner parties, but felt very welcome nonetheless. Would definitely return next time I’m in the area.

Don’t drink coffee but I love the selection of Organic Teas! BEST smoothies in town, nice and thick… not too sweet but the fruit flavor is great! Also love the protein and other«powders» they can add in to the smoothies no gritty texture at all! Owner is a great guy friendly and always helpful!

Great little hipster coffee shop in downtown Salisbury. The owner, Kirk, is very friendly and wears turtleneck sweaters. He can tell you all about the coffee if you let him, but it’s best to just ask for the Ethiopian or whatever dark and earthy bean he has out for the day. He has a variety of baked goods for sale, though I find them to be hit or miss. The Egg Nog Cupcake didn’t really taste like eggnog, but the other stuff I got was pretty tasty. They have a wide variety of teas to choose from as well, to make by the cup or to buy to make at home. He also has a wide range of coffee beans to buy if you don’t feel like paying someone else to make it. The prices here are a bit steep when you compare it to a chain like Starbucks but you are also paying for the one on one attention and great atmosphere. The chairs are comfy and there are wall outlets all over the place if you want to relax and use a laptop.

Went in this cool shop to inquire about Breakfast and Main Street Legal Café, the guy working here said«go to Richards BBQ», told us how to get there and said«Richards had been voted the Best Breakfast in Salisbury». So I’ll be coming back to this place to check out their coffee next time I’m in Salisbury!

What a cute little coffee shop right in downtown Salisbury. Though I don’t travel here often if you live in this area or are visiting definitely grab a cup of joe here. A few things that really made them stand out — service was super friendly and the barista took the time to explain each type of brew to me. Why would he do that? I didn’t ask him too… but they let you choose which type you would like to make your latte(that is awesome) did I mention all the coffee was organic. They also have the cutest coffee sleeves I’ve seen. Check out Tastebuds and support your local coffee shops.
