Tokyo Express

This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Salisbury to eat! It is quick and the food is great! They are not stingy on the portions of food, nor with the shrimp sauce. I do not even eat the carrots at most, but at Tokyo Express I gobble them up, as well. You order at the counter and then take your seat and await the amazing plate of goodness coming to you.

Apart from the magnificent Ichibans Steakhouse, there are also those other local Japanese restaurants that also serve delicious food that are more of a perfect lunchtime meal. One of those is Tokyo Express.
At Tokyo Express, you have a good sized menu to choose from, are served a very generous helping of food, and do NOT pay a lot for it.
I prefer the Hibachi Chicken (w/​o mushrooms) and in that box you get a VERY filling portion of delicious chicken, but also with a side of friend rice and sweet carrots. It also comes with their delicious shrimp sauce (don’t worry for non-​seafood lovers, it’s only what it’s called).
I usually go through the drive-​through and the service there is good, with minimal wait.
If you want some delicious, reasonably-​priced, Japanese take-​out for lunch… head out to Tokyo Express.

Fast and delicious. I love this place. They take your order, you pay, go sit down and they bring it to you. Quickly. They will come back and refill your drinks also. It’s always so tasty. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the meal doesn’t come with veggies like all other Japanese restaurants. You have to pay extra for those and they do not give you much.

This place has the best Japanese food in town. The service is always fast and friendly. The prices are pretty good too.

Haven’t the need to complain about the food once in the years. (However, I’m not a fan of the long hallway walk to the clean restroom, but that is just me.)

This was an A-​OK place and one I would surely return to — nothing fast or fancy here — just your typical Japanese «quick food» place.
The staff were friendly — able to accommodate ½ and ½ of sweet and unsweetened tea — if that matters to you in the south!
Restaurant was clean and food was brought to your table and tables were cleaned by staff — a bit higher class then most fast food joints

I love the food but I had awful customer service. I felt like the cashier did not want to service me and also felt rushed even though they weren’t busy. After today’s visit to the restaurant I will not be back.

By far the best Japanese take-​out in town! Service is always quick and courteous. Food is priced well, although sometimes they do scrimp on the steak and shrimp.
