Bob’s Brain Freeze

Yes, this paragon of icy delight is open again for another summer. Bobs will give you the most delicious brain freeze in whatever flavor suits your fancy– they have like 30 different syrups. They also offer either cream poured on the top of your shaved ice, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the bottom. The employees, fresh-​faced high school kids, are friendly and helpful.
The only reason why Bobs doesnt get 5 stars is becuase the cream is the stuff that comes in little shelf-​stable creamer cups, and the ice cream is the artificial cheap stuff that comes in tiny self-​serve plastic containers. Bobs, if you upgraded to real cream from a refridgerated carton, and real scoops of quality ice cream, you would get my 5 stars. But hey, your prices are pretty darn reasonable, so maybe I should just quit my whining.
Overall: Awesome joint for a refreshing, reasonably-​priced summer shaved ice.

The people at Bob’s are expert shaved ice makers. Nay, snow cone craftsmen. Granted, they’re usually on summer break from high school, but, still, they’re very good at what they do.
These little stands are common around Utah in the summer, but I’m all about Bob’s because at those other little blue shacks the ice usually has a gross (sometimes metallic flavor), or they’re chincy on the flavoring, or their selection is lacking, or — the greatest objection: they don’t offer cream! Shameless!
At Bob’s you’ll find it all: clean tasting ice, myriad flavors, large glasses, and plenty of cream to go around.
By the way, this is a perfect post Café Rio dessert — it’s just slightly east of the Rio.
4 stars because they’re not open all year. And, well, as amazing as they are, Bob’s is still just a snow cone place, and I can’t go and prostitute my ratings system on shaved ice.
