Stopped by the other night with my wife and daughter. This was our first time at this place and it was without a doubt, the WORST meal that any of us had EVER eaten. I got the ribeye sandwich. It was supposed to be medium rare but when it came with blood dripping out of it, I halfway expected it to actually start mooing. The taste was watery and raw. The onion rings were laughable, more like cardboard covered onions. My wife tried them, my daughter tried them and I tried them and we all spit them out. My wife got a salad with a side of so called ” rice pilaf” which turned out to be nothing more than white rice with some salt and lemon squeezed on it. It was bland, watery and tasteless. She did say that the paper cup of water that she got was okay. My daughters chicken strips looked and tasted like they came out of a frozen bag somewhere. The fries were passable but nothing special. Overall, the best thing on the table was probably my ice tea, which isnt saying much. We all commented that we would have gotten a MUCH better meal at Burger King for a lot less than the $ 30 bucks that we threw away in this place. Save your money and your stomach. 3 hours later and my stomach still felt as if I had swallowed a brick. I If this place is what passes for good food in Salt Lake City, then God help the good folks there. It was horrible.

I came for the first time and it was Amaze-balls!!! I had their patty melt and fries with their huge chocolate oreo shake, DELISH. The employees were very accommodating and chill asf. I’ll come here again when i’m «in the air like a kite» or drunk, im sure it’ll be a way better more fantastical experience :)

DAMN this place took my phallus by surprise and shoved it up my own ass. I was skeptical when a couple people mentioned this place being good — I am new to SLC and didn’t know. I went here for lunch with my new boss one day and was like dayamn! Good fucking burger! Tasty fries too, reasonable price, and fast service. Kinda dangerous location right next to my place… I will become a fat cunt in no time

Nothing better than the pastrami piled high on this burger. Love it. Fries are great. Refills on drinks. Close to stadium and allow you to park here!

I’ve been living in SLC for over a year and never ventured to a Crown Burger. So glad I finally got around to it; the titular burger handily surpasses In-N-Out for my favorite fast-food burger. First, the pastrami on the Crown Burger is so tasty. The moistness really impressed me, and the paprika bath gives it a wonderful depth of flavor. Honestly, I liked the pastrami here better than what I had the day before at Avenues Bistro on Third. The burger itself is good, and comes close to a $ 8 – 9 restaurant burger IMO. It’s flame-grilled, and reminds me of a BK Whopper patty on steroids(in a good way). It’s not a gourmet burger, but the smoky smell and robust chew will almost fool you. Fries were all right. They are thick and substantial but some were undercooked. It’ll cost you an extra $ 3 – 4 to get fries and the drink, so I’d probably skip this next time and just drink the fry sauce from their self-serve dispensers. Soda refills need to be requested; a petty annoyance. Interior is cool in the way of family style diners from the 70s and 80s. Lots of browns but the booths are robust and comfortable, the dining room spacious and clean. Will definitely return to Crown Burger.

Good Bacon Cheese Burger. Skip the fast food and go to Crown Burgers instead.

+ Patty melt good, especially the bread. Hot dog with chili, cheese, and onions flavorful. I especially liked the nature of the chili, not having any beans. — Prices a bit high; very disappointing to have to pay $ 0.55 for a glass of water on a $ 12 check. Come on, really…

Crown Burger is well known in Utah, and for good reason. Their burgers are severely cravable. Other reviewers are right, when you crave a Crown Burger, nothing else will suffice. I’ve been eating at this location for 20+ years. Nothing much has changed.(except the prices) The quality is very high, on everything from the signature pastrami burger, the bacon cheeseburger, gyros, fries, onion rings, fry sauce, shakes… The new jalapeño burger is very good, however at the downtown store, it’s made with pickled jalapenos. At the Highland Drive store, they use fresh sauteed jalapenos, and I find that preferable. Still the gold standard for the«greek» style burgers in Salt Lake.

Sometimes you just crave a Crown Burger and nothing else will suffice. This is my go-to spot for a Crown Burger in the downtown area of SLC as their location on North Temple has too much traffic to deal with and I always just use the drive-thru(craving a Crown = lazy/tired/bad day) and this location does not have the traffic issues to contend with. I actually prefer the Jr. Crown Burger to the original as the larger version is just too much for me in one sitting and the Jr. version is just right. The fries are ok. Fry sauce is ok. Neither are my favorite but they work. I also like their gyros but they can be a bit on the salty side and too«fast food» sometimes. I don’t drink soda very often and I don’t like their ice tea, it always tastes old/bland to me. So I rarely order the combo if I can avoid it. I do like ordering the dinner plate version of the combo; these do not come with a drink and instead come with fries and a side salad. The side salad is fairly simple but it is way better than icky ice tea. They do have kids meals but if the kids have been institutionalized into ordering kids meals just to get a toy they will be disappointed(not bad in my book, I don’t like those cheapy toys that just end up cluttering the house). The treat in the kids meal is a pack of cheap crayons and a coloring sheet. Fine with me. There are other options for the kiddos that would be fine for a kids meal, such as a corn dog, grilled cheese, or any of a ton of different options. Service has been very good. In order to keep the drive thru moving they will occasionally ask you to park in one of their drive thru parking spaces and they will deliver to your car when your order is ready. To me, this says that they cook their burgers to order and it is not sitting under a heat lamp all day. Another plus. One time I was charged twice for the same meal(the machine wasn’t working properly and the employee wasn’t quite sure what was going on) but when I spoke to the manager about it the second charge was promptly refunded — no problems. So, definatly a good place to get your Crown on!

This is a tough review for me. They are a little expensive… but where else can you get a burger with pastrami for 4 dollars? Do you really want me to answer… no where! That was really the big selling point that took it from a 3 to a 4. The burger is very good already but nothing that makes you go, «OMG batman.» Ps if you say OMG batman… no one wants you. But with the genius addition of the pastrami I was like you know what purchasing this is totally worth it. Unfortunately I did not try the fries so I can not give you any info on that. But if you are ordering fries or a soda you are getting ripped off. You know how cheap they are to produce right? RIGHT!!! THEVERDICT: Pastrami. I have nothing else to say. My new favorite P-word guess what my old one is and I will give you $ 10. and a hug.

I just walked here from my apartment. It was good it was more than good the bacon cheeseburger is 5 stars the french fries or five stars but they changed fry sauce it’s probably two*Fry sauce that’s why you got a overall four star rating. Please go back to your old fry sauce.

By far the best burger joint in all of Utah. It’s a family owned, local restaurant with a great atmosphere. I love going to Crown Burger because you always know what you’re going to get– a super high quality, delicious meal at a dang good price. They use local, organic beef that is shipped to their locations daily. Most burger franchises now days use those sick meat blends that are only partially real ground beef. Not Crown Burger – all their ingredients are real and fresh, especially their produce and meats. If you’re looking for a lighter meal, their salads are amazing. I love the Greek Salad with Chicken. If you’re not feeling a burger, but want something super hardy, I recommend the Steak Sandwhich or Gyro.

Looks can be deceiving. From the outside, this place looks like a diner from the 80s. From the inside, the dining area IS a diner from the 80s. But going up to the register to order, they have the menus on giant flat screen TVs. Had the crown burger which is a large burger with a giant helping of pastrami insideProbably the least healthy thing I have ever eaten but damn it was good. Employees were friendly and the place was clean. A+

I’m a vegetarian so perhaps my review shouldn’t be applied to Carnivores. Really casual atmosphere. You order at the counter and then sit in a booth and wait for your food to be ready. The vegetarian burger was okay and their salad selection was pitiful. This place could be considered one step up from a fast food restaurant. So if you are looking for some fries and a greasy burger I would give with place a try. If you are looking for something more than that, then head some place else.

This place is In and Out Burger… on steroids with 900 yummy calories of tender pastrami slathered with their custom version of 1000 island«like» dressing that makes this awesome place seem like Jungle Style… compared to «animal style» at In and Out”! This place has lots of custom side orders you will need ten extra minutes to tear over before deciding! I’d want food from this place if I were offered my last meal before being executed by the state of Utah! Really! It’s just the bomb-plus!!! One of the few places I’d give a 5 ½* stars to!!! Go here folks!!! Eat here!!!

I give any place that has real onion rings 5 stars. They taste like sonics use to. So so good. My friends told me to go there and I’m glad I listened. It’s unique to have a mountain of pastrami on a burger. The burger is good by itself as well.

Quite an impressive load of meat! I had the Crown burger and it was very good. I wasn’t aware it would have pastrami on the burger so be warned and bring your appetite. I have heard from like everyone from here I had to try it. I tried the Crown burger and the Gyro at the recommendation of the clerk. The crown burger was a meat bomb. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not overly greasy. The combination of the two meats were not lost on each other and you could taste both which were equally delightful. The gyro was also nice for a burger place. Next visit I will try the rib eye steak sandwich. There is a nice variety of options and all looked good. I would say a fast food place where people care and pay attention to what they are putting out.

In Utah visiting and my buddy suggested I try this place. Now, I was also told I HAD to try the fry sauce, which is a SLC staple. This particular Crown Burger was particularly quiet for a Saturday evening but so was most places in SLC from what I saw. We were immediately greeted by the staff(probably too many given the number of customers at the time) and told about the menu. I went with their Crown burger, which is a single patty burger stuff with a stupid amount(a good thing) of pastrami. This was really the highlight of the meal, because the patty was cooked perfectly, the cheese was thoroughly, and the pastrami was excessive. I wouldn’t call this the best burger I’ve ever had(that belongs to a joint in Gainesville, FL that no longer is around) but it’s an incredible burger for sure. Fry sauce seemed like a mix of mayo and ketchup, something I’ve been mixing since childhood. It sure tastes good but I didn’t think it was anything special. Service was courteous and fast. You can’t really ask for more from a burger joint.

When it comes to your standard burger joint I really like crown burger. I specifically like their signature crown burger which has Ruben along with your traditional American cheese burger. Also you can buy Baklava here which is odd but cool.

Hello mofos, so we’re at the infamous Crown Burgers, known to have been visited by Man vs Food. So I ordered the Crown Burger-beef, cheese, bacon, tomato and lettuce topped with pastrami. I decided to one up on my buddy and and bacon to that shit. Needless to say, I’m going to be doing some extra crunches tonight. And it was everything I imagined, fuck my life it was good. Go for it people… go for it.

Crown Burgers is one of those places that brings back memories for me. It was like whenever we’d get some money($ 20 was HELLAMULA) back in my High School Days(West High to be exact — the Crown Burgers is right across the street right by the bus stop) and you’d think you were ballin.lmao.Crown Burgers was in your«to do» list. So it was definitely a splurge to eat here back then and bask in the tastiness of a bomb a$$ burger filled w/pastrami or sometimes a gyro — depending on what you were craving. I love their fries/onion rings — and their FRYSAUCE is to diee for! Love it. It’s a guaranteed good tasting experience each & every time I go! Note: My most recent visit here Saturday night was very pleasant! Although the workers faces were very annoyed at the sight of us running in @ 10:27(they close @ 10:30) — they still took us in and it was great to meet the owner who accommodated our late night hang out and let us stay for longer than usual. We appreciated the sentiment and I told him that I was craving a crown burger before heading back home to the Bay Area! He expressed his thanks to us for being loyal customers and we cracked a few jokes but it was really nice of him to let us stay and hang out as we were spending cousin time after Uncle’s funeral.

A diner style, award winning restaurant chain that began in Utah. Basic interior but clean and bright. Quick service. The menu has salad options. My husband ordered the most popular burger — The Crown burger, which has pastrami. It was well cooked and juicy. I ordered the lamb gyro plate and enjoyed it. A good option for a fast food restaurant.

Shockingly, this was my favorite meal during my entire trip to SLC. The Crown Burger was pretty good, the fries weren’t bad, but the fries sauce was delicious. I used so much of that stuff on my fries and burger. Next time I’m in SLC, I’m definitely coming back to this place.

I like to visit Triple D and Man vs Food places when I travel. I usually stick with regular people places($ and $$). My first impression was that Crown Burgers was a typical non franchise fast food burger joint. I was a little taken back when my bill was a large combo(Crown Burger with fries and drink) rang up to $ 9.81. For $ 5.25 the burger with all the pastrami was a great tasting burger combination. I loved the smokey flavor of the pastrami and what it added. A meat lovers delight. The fries were a disappointing since it was a large combo and I felt the quantity was sub par. My recommendation is to only get the crown burger every time only and you will not be disappointed in any way!
