I’m very blessed with the food options within a square block of my house. Within a short walk I can get high quality butcher cuts, New York style bagels, and chocolate from this place that can easily exceed other local and not so local favorites in taste and quality. And you know what’s even better? The prices are really reasonable. This week I stopped in and snagged 4 truffles and 2 chocolate covered strawberries for under $ 5. They always offer a free sample on your way out too. The shop is clean and the staff is attentive. Some of the front counter staff seemed confused by my questions about how/where/what process they use to make their product but a gentleman in the back was happy to give me the details.

I believe it is still family owned after many years which to me is really cool. Chocolates are wonderful. Strawberries are yummy. Staff is overly bubbly but I think it’s there first job so they are overly excited to work in a chocolate store. I think prices are fair for what quality is.

Best Chocolate in Utah hands down! I have tired them all and just feel they are the only ones that do chocolate right and it’s always fresh and delicious. You won’t be sorry if you buy from them!

You know it’s good when the prophet praises it :) I come here for the chocolate-covered strawberries(best I’ve ever had) and the cremes. They use Guittard chocolate, which is what I dip my truffles & chocolates with. A lot better than that other Cummings rip-off.

I’m probably not your average chocolate consumer — I don’t just like chocolate, I love it. My taste in chocolate runs on the darker side so that’s what I tried here. The chocolates weren’t bad, they had some nice flavors going but all just too sweet for my taste — nothing like the fine artisan chocolate confections I craved. The chocolates were definitely a step up from hersheys’(which technically shouldn’t be called chocolate in my opinion) and while I wouldn’t call them great chocolatiers, Cummings Studio has a very friendly staff who make decent chocolate candies.

This chocolate shop is still, by far, my favorite old timey place in the valley. You just can’t get any better when it comes to customer service. Right now they are gearing up for Valentine’s day, and I highly recommend their chocolate dipped strawberries and other fruits if your significant other is into sweets. Salted caramel in light and dark chocolate is still my fav candy but the marshmallow caramel is not far behind.

I am in love with Cummings. This is hands down the best chocolate shop I have ever been in. The Boston Opera is my favorite, its heaven covered in chocolate. I have never been disappointed in anything from here. It is all delicious.

Toffee popcorn is awesome– can taste the butter and each nut and the popcorn is fresh. It isn’t overly sweet so one can actually munch for quite a long time. The price is well set to reflect this quality and the time to make such a concoction. The chocolate was very tasty with a fresh quality and just right smoothness. Opera creams and rum balls are my fav. The Coconut haystacks I think they’re called were my least favorite. I was expecting bigger chunks of coconut based on the outside appearance and the bits seemed to get lost inside the piece. The chocolate ginger was something new for me and I would buy it again. Nice contrast of spicy and sweet. The counter galls were friendly and very helpful making the store experience very comfortable as confection buying should be. I plan to buy some gifts of candy for the holidays at Cummings.

This place is an institution in our family! Best chocolates, caramels, you name it! My favorites are the Salt Caramel in Dark Chocolate, Bacardi Rum in Milk Chocolate, Dipped Grapes and the Marshmallow Caramel in Milk or Dark oh and how could I forget the BEST thing they make is Dark Chocolate dipped Orange Peel not jelly or some other awful substitute but the peel-Divine! All the employees have been so helpful. No bad experiences unless you count craving them at midnight and they’re CLOSED.:(Oh yeah and they give a free chocolate sample with your order so keep in mind what you’ll try next!
