Great pizza. Fun bartenders. Nice little patio looking up the mountain.

The new owners have brought this place up to speed. Friendly attentive employees make it a pleasure to dine. Just wish they could cook a bit faster. For a take out joint you’ll be sitting there for quite some time wondering if they forgot your order. The burrito was on the small side but still tasty as was the quesadilla and pizza.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised! Davanzas recently opened up next door to my office. When I saw the sign go up I had doubts… Serious doubts. I mean they feature Pizza, Hamburgers and Tacos. How could that be good and how could that be a combination to succeed? Yikes!
Well, I bit the bullet last week and tried it and I have already been back for a second try!
This place is well hidden and located at the end of foothill before it becomes I-​215. There is a gas station (Chevron) and behind the station is my office (Windermere Real Estate) and next to me Davanzas. From the outside, you would be right to wonder if it could stand a chance of success. Well, you walk in and the first thing you notice is that the restaurant is wallpapered with old beer cans. The pull tab and can key type… Very cool. The tables are handmade and are made of beer can opened up flattened and lacquered in. Again, very cool. They have a counter set up and table. You order at the counter and they bring the food to the table.
They brought a free pizza to our office and it was great! We loved it! The crust was OK, but the toppings made up for it. Fresh and delicious. In my two visit I have ordered the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich and the Philly Cheese-​steak. both were admirable, on fresh rolls and HUGE! Tasty as well. On the second visit I went with friends from the Coldwell Banker office on Parley’s. They had the burgers and tacos and were also pleasantly surprised! They loved it! All are fresh and delicious. I tried the guacamole and all I can say is WOW!
So try it! A great place for a college crowd type lunch, served casually and very tasty!
