Fantastic sandwiches. My personal favorites are the Sprang Chicken and the Myhami Vice.

I’m glad I walked because their parking lot is shared with other businesses (who apparently have no problem ticketing people). I don’t think I’d want to have to fight the lot or street parking as a driver. The restaurant was full on a Saturday around 1 PM, but we easily found a seat. It’s cute inside and the booths were comfortable, and not too, too close together.
I got the grilled cheese which was filling and delicious! It came with a side salad, which I can take or leave. Personally, I’d rather leave salad, and would opt for a cookie instead, but my mate said the greens were tasty.
I was excited to see a few canned kraft brews available, and even more psyched they weren’t served with a bunch of attitude or pretension as seems the norm in SLC (what is that?!).
I will go back for sure, and think it’s super-​cool they give a sandwich to the homeless for each one they sell.

Best sandwich in the city. Not greasy, not slimy, nice and fresh. And the jalapeño jelly is absolutely incredible.

Cream cheese and jalapenos on a grilled cheese sandwich. Why hadn’t I ever thought of that before?! Damn that was a good sandwich. In fact, the next day, while not hungry what-​so-​ever, I daydreamed about this sandwich. All of the food looked really good too. The fresh salad was amazing, and the place was kinda cute inside. I saw a poster that said they have live music, but for the life of me I couldn’t figure out where they’d have live music; the place is not really that big. Now I have to go back, again, and again, because I need to try each and every sandwich. And their working with the community is an awesome idea, and I can get behind something like that.

This place was delicious. I’d been meaning to have lunch here for long time, as it’s right up the street from my office downtown, and am so glad I finally did. I had the sprang chicken sandwich and it was so good. Service was great, and everything everyone ordered at our table looked amazing.
I will definitely be back soon!

Amazing sandwiches! I had a turkey sandwich with a side salad and a pickle. Very tasty! Cool atmosphere and nice employees. Highly recommended you stop in and grab some yummy food!

Great restaurant. Recommend the half sandwich (go Gouda) and tomato bisque. Tater tots were ridic. Live music too!

Dropped in on Sunday to find eclectic, friendly service with a great cause– they donate a sandwich to a local non-​profit for every sandwich or wrap you buy. Live music playing with diverse diners.
Great food– try the Blueberry Steel salad as a wrap– awesome flavors! And the egg breakfast sandwich and brava tots
Completed our meal. It will become one of our local favorites!

Very cool sandwich shop, I’m really glad I stopped here while passing through Salt Lake City. The food was fresh and locally sourced, the employees were friendly and helpful, and the place has a nice atmosphere inside.
While I doubt you can go wrong here, I highly recommend the Do Gouda sandwich. The sweet onion jam pairs perfectly with the smoked Gouda and pushes the sandwich from very good to great.
Would love to come back here next time I’m in SLC.

This place is a very quaint fun little restaurant with 3 locations. I’ve been to the downtown and sugar house stores and everything s far has been good. Checkout the French toast!

I got the sloppy Tina on gluten free bread and it was fantastic. We’ll come here whenever we pass though, for sure.

New menu changes are awesome. I have a hard time spreading the love to other establishments. Don’t sweat a line if you see one, they move through pretty fast with the excellent management.

This is my go-​to place for lunch or a quick meal.
They have a great variety of sandwiches and the menu continues to grow. Everything is well portioned and I never feel like I’m paying too much for someone to make me a sandwich. My favorite sandwich is the Sprang Chicken; quality ingredients in a classic combination. It’s dependable and always hits the spot. The Sloppy Joe is an elevated version of the nostalgic sandwich from elementary school; I was surprised how much I loved this comforting sandwich. The JP Grilled cheese is super cheesy with a nice kick of jalapeño and works well dipped into the tomato basil soup. The Pot Roast dip is good but it’s on the sweet side.
The Tomato Basil Bisque is creamy and tasty. The Party Tots come in a generous portion and I highly recommend sharing an order. I get the blue cheese sauce on the side. The Beehive Baked Mac is so indulgent, deliciously thick, and is topped with crumbled bacon.
I’ve only recently ventured into the breakfast menu and I regret not doing so sooner! I fell madly in love with the Graduate Breakfast Burrito. It is filled with quality ingredients that are all chopped, so every bite is yumminess. The house sauce and sriracha work well together and add a little kick without being overwhelming. I usually get it with bacon. The breakfast sandwich with medium eggs comes in a close second to the burrito. The balance of sweet and savory is on point. I like to get the sandwich when I want tots on the side rather than chopped up in the burrito. My friend got the Brioche French Toast last time; she was disappointed how plain it was and wish she had upgraded to the Stuffed French Toast.
It always seems busy here, so I like to call in an order and go straight to the front to pay and grab my food to-​go. Dining-​in is always fun but if you stay too long, you’ll notice that it can get really smoky inside the restaurant.

(4.5 stars) I love this place, part of the experience is the service. I work in the service industry, I get the fact that it’s not all part of your job to put a smile on people’s faces, it’s all hard work. My cashier was picking her nose when I walked up, acted put out for any questions I had and was very impatient that I didn’t know exactly what I wanted. If there were someone behind me, I would have kindly let them go before. Then she took her ponytail down to fix it; by the food and continued to be annoyed. Whatever, I ordered my food to go and went on my way.
Since then, I’ve been back 3 times. EXCELLENT food and service. Love the French toast, all of the sandwiches and loaded tots.
Just please be considerate of good customer service and food handling. I get we aren’t robots and maybe our nose itches or we get a wedgie and everyone has an off day.

Fun place, great food. I recently found this place with a quick search on Unilocal while me and my wife had some time to kill in SLC. We both were very pleased with the selection. For myself, I had the Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich. That was truly a great experience, the pork belly was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the ingredients in the sandwich were very well balanced. Also had the Kettles & Queso, this was yummy!
Finally, you can’t say enough about an establishment that gives back to the community the way Even Stevens does. Just on this one fact I would go back even if the food was average, but don’t worry the food will bring you back, as well.
I hope Even Stevens never looses sight of what they originally started out to do. As long as they continue to focus on quality food, great service, and giving back to the community I can’t see how they could ever go wrong.

Came here because of all the good reviews and now I’m adding one! It’s cool they mix delicious food with social responsibility. I recommend Do Gouda and pick up a cookie!

Great mimosas and bloody Mary’s on Sunday’s. Sandwiches are good, I really like their Reuben.

Love, love, love Even Stevens. Some of the best sandwiches you’ll get anywhere! I’m not even sure if I have words to do them justice… warm, flavorful, unique. Not your average sandwich shop, by any means. I’ve tried the Do Gouda, Pot Roast Dip, and Sprang Turkey… all were so good, and I would order any of them again! In fact, I loved those three so much, that I pretty much never order anything else…
Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

I’ve been a fan since before they opened. Word spread about a place that was going to offer sandwiches and donate another when you ate there, and I watched as they prepped, did some local events, and finally opened up this location.
Would they be able to move beyond the non-​profit angle? Would they be more than a feel-​good story? The answer, friends, is yes. They’re not a feel-​good story that sells sandwiches, they’re a sandwich shop that helps you feel good in your hear and your belly. They’re feel-​good AND taste-​good.
One of the biggest pluses for me is the vibe. I had to come in early to meet with someone, and we were able to do so and stay pretty chill. It does get busy during lunchtime, so don’t hog a booth without eating, but there’s no bumping music and there’s enough space for a pleasant experience. As lunch approached, we got in line and ordered a couple of sandwiches.
Turkey, baby. That’s the goods for me these days – apparently I’m just warming up for Thanksgiving – and it was in full supply on their excellent sandwich. I also hear great things about the Sloppy Joe, but don’t have any firsthand. It’s quick service (just go through the line and you’ll get your food in a jiffy) and lots of seating, e specially for being right there on the edges of downtown proper. Oh, and their own parking!
Here’s the dream: You’ve just received your food, your heart feels good, you’re holding something beautiful and delicious, and you feel satisfied in every way that you can. That’s happiness!

Let’s get the negatives out of the way first and end on a positive.
Disappointments: My first time here and I ordered a half baked mahi mahi, Caesar salad with a side of balsamic vinaigrette, and the free check in cookie. My boyfriend ordered the undergrad breakfast burrito with sausage. The food comes out and I got the side salad instead of the Caesar salad. I informed the food runner of my food order and he told me that the baked mahi mahi is the only sandwich that you cannot do the ½ salad ½ sandwich combo. He apologized and said that the cashier didn’t know. They forgot the side of balsamic vinaigrette and the cookie but the food runner brought it out promptly after I reminded him. The undergrad burrito had bacon in it instead of sausage but we didn’t want to say anything else at this point.
The baked mahi mahi for me was so so. The thick baguette was really dry, the mahi mahi was bland, and the cole slaw by itself was good. The sandwich as a whole did not work for me.
Pros: The place itself had plenty of seating inside and a couple of tables outside. My boyfriend loved his burrito even though it wasn’t sausage. I had a bite and enjoyed the crispy tortilla wrap! I really admire the concept behind this place because of their efforts in collaboration and community building.
I definitely will come back to try another sandwich!
