Some excellent talent here! …however, I’ve been visiting this establishment for 4 years, so I know the front desk personnel cannot always have woken up on the wrong side of the bed EVERYTIME.

Dr. Fischer is amazing. I had tumescent liposuction on my inner and outer thighs and my hips 5 weeks ago and I am thrilled with the results. I met the doctor and had a consultation and after some research, I felt like this doctor, the facility, and the previous reviews for this proceedure were as good as I was going to get, and I was correct. I’ve lost several inches from my hips and thighs as well as a few pounds since the procedure and I now love the way I look, especially in my work out pants. I’m more motivated to eat better and exercise more now since the fat has been taken off and I’m just really pleased with the results. I’ve been told that some swelling will still go away, which means that I’ll look even better in 4 – 6 months. I would do this procedure again in a heartbeat, in fact why didn’t I do it ten years ago!

I have had acne for 25 years — their Affirm laser fixes that. It is the only thing that works for me. It’s not a cure, as I have to keep coming back every 3 or 4 months, but it’s worth it.

I am happy to write a review about my experience with Dr. Taylor at the Gateway Laser Center. I recently had fully ablative laser resurfacing with spot treatment on my face and a TCA peel around my neck to reduce wrinkles(I’m 57), improve skin tone and texture, and treat sun damage. This was not an inexpensive procedure, but given the great results, I feel it was really worth the cost. Dr. Taylor did a great job.

I came all the way from Michigan to have a procedure done last Spring. Dr Taylor performed a chemical peel, subcision, fraxel re: pair, punch excision followed by prp for acne scarring. These procedures improved my scars and I am looking forward to visit again for further improvement. Dr Taylor is a very professional, experienced, thorough and thoughtful physician. He is among the leaders in cosmetic laser surgery and has developed new techniques in the field. In addition, Gateway Institute has a wonderful staff operating in a pristine environment. Cathy V

Love this place. I always see Dr. Donna Fischer. She is gentle and efficient and no matter the procedure, she never bruises me. Without fail, she helps me look my best — it’s always worth the money. I recommend Gateway Aesthetic highly and without reservation.

Go to the U for your procedures, they have qualified doctors and it’s cheaper. I had sclerotherapy done on both of my legs by Dr. Taylor. I was unimpressed from the beginning when he answered his cell phone WHILE injecting my legs. After my first round of injections, Dr. Taylor wrapped my legs so tight that both of my feet swelled about three times their normal size. My first round of injections cost $ 750 and then an additional $ 75 for each pair of tights. I ended up going back for a second round of injections for a discounted price of $ 400. A year later all of my veins that he supposedly took care of popped back out so I decided to go to a vascular surgeon at the U. I SHOULDHAVEDONETHISTOBEGINWITH. Dr. Ihnat at the U did sclerotherpay on both of my legs for $ 250 total(and NO it wasn’t covered by insurance) AND he used the ultrasound machine while doing the injections to make sure all of the problem veins were actually taken care of. What a completely different experience. I regret going to Dr. Taylor and hope others will not waste their money on him.

There are so many better places to go at a better price. The place feels very pretentious.

I discovered their December special for laser hair removal and jumped at the chance. They’re normally insanely expensive, but this was a steal. Location is great — plenty of parking at the Gateway mall and it’s right downtown. In order to get to the laser center, you have to walk through the store in front — Apothica(great store — see my other review). Kind of confusing at first, but once you get to the back of the store, it looks like what i’m assuming is your typical aesthetic institute/hospital. Don’t let the store front fool you, this place is HUGE. Two whole floors of rooms, and i’m guessing at least 15 rooms per floor. Extremely clean and organized. Added bonus is the great artwork on the walls, most of which is for sale… including impressive peices by Dr. Taylor’s son So moving on to the services. I was extremely nervous about laser hair removal at first because a very good friend of mine works for a laser company and has told me about some of the horror stories of lasers gone wrong. or in some case, fools who just didn’t know how to use the laser. He gave me a laundry list of questions to be sure to ask whoever was doing my procedure, just to make sure they know what they’re talking about. Kay passed with flying colors, including being aware that asian skin is a lot different in terms of pigmentation and should be treated with extra caution. She was extremely friendly, patient, and answered every single one of my questions. So once I signed up, I asked to have a test patch done first, which they agreed to with no hesitation and no charge. Dr. Taylor did the test patch for me, ensuring that the laser levels were set appropriately for my skin and hair type. They started me out with one type of laser due to my sensitive skin, and we worked our way up to a totally different laser to get the perfect match. I was very impressed with how careful and thorough they were to make sure everything went smoothly. Also, they provide numbing cream in order to minimize any pain associated with the laser! I honestly didn’t feel a thing! You do smell some burning hair which is a bit discomforting, but at the same time, I guess it’s assurance that it’s working. So far i’ve only had two treatments, with 8 more to go. I can’t compare Gateway with anywhere else since I’ve never had the treatments before, but from what I compare to my friend’s experiences at other places, this place is definitely 5 star worthy if you can afford their steep prices. Or just keep an eye out for another special… if they ever have another that is.

I live in Scottsdale, AZ but I travel to Salt Lake City just to visit the Gateway Aesthetic Institute. I just trust them. I’ve been to the Gateway Institute about 4 – 5 times and have always left happy with my results and the service I received. Dr. Taylor is an honest and respectable dermatologist. He is one of the leaders in the field of cosmetic laser surgery and has developed new techniques and advancements(Google him, you’ll be impressed). It wouldn’t be fair to leave out Inna an R.N. who has preformed a few laser treatments on me. She is very careful and precise. They are expensive. But if you want the best, you have to pay the price, period. When it comes to my skin and the possibility of burns, I’m not taking a chance. I recommend getting the local anesthesia for $ 10 if you’re having tattoo removal.

Extremely disappointed in this place. I went in for a tattoo removal consultation and had to wait 45minutes in a lobby by myself, I saw one other patient the whole time. The appointment got ridiculous when they told me the price — $ 99 for the first 1 minute(you read that right), and $ 50 for every minute thereafter. My tattoo was estimated at 5min per session($ 299) and was told it would take anywhere from 5 – 15 sessions! So basically $ 1500 — $ 4500. AREYOUKIDDINGME. I asked them if they have som kind of better laser technology to justify the price… the technician told me that their tattoo laser was about 10 years old but maintained frequently. So I concluded there was absolutely no justification for the insane pricing and left disappointed. I recommend avoiding this place.
