We eat here a couple times a year and always order the same thing. We crave the Changs spicy chicken and Mongolian beef. This time however, we were disappointed to find out the chicken has been breaded and fried. It’s not as good as it used to be. I like the old style best! Of course we always finish dinner with a mountain of chocolate cake and the most delicious banana – ice cream dessert. When all else fails, order dessert! We had a great waiter who kept our drinks topped off. The restaurant was packed and full of families with little children. I guess this is a family friendly restaurant!

Meh, I know what to expect from this place. It tastes like frozen food that has been cooked on the stove, but I am leaving a review anyway. We had Crispy Green Beans which were really oily. The dipping sauce was a thick mayo based sriracha type thing is not that great, but in the end you just end up using it to cut through the oily beans. One of our entrees was the Prawns with Spicy Noodles(special). The noodles were pretty good, although they didn’t really taste like traditional pan-fried noodles, they had a buttery flavor. The shrimp were clean and the breading on them was crisp, but they were really salty from the black bean sauce. The other entrée was the Coconut Curry Vegetables. This dish had lots of different veggies, which I like, but the sauce was a little bland for a curry sauce. It wasn’t spicy at all and I could not really taste the coconut. The tofu was nice and crisp and silky inside. All in all, this place is an American-Chinese chain restaurant. The flavors are not fresh tasting and may have come from previously frozen sauces, which you can make at home if you feel like cooking. If you don’t feel like cooking, then get here early(5−6pm) because it gets really crowded, although I’m not quite sure why…

Had really disappointing food here today. Our garlic noodles were way over-cooked and were mush. We sent them back. The Mongolian Beef was also overcooked until it was completely dry. The white rice was very dry and not sticky at all, so impossible to eat with chopsticks. It tasted like Uncle Bens microwave rice. Our server, Amy, was excellent. That’s the only reason we gave one star instead of two. Don’t waste your money. You can get better Chinese from Panda Express… sadly.

This restaurant was our group of four couples choice for our Valentines dinner date night. Our server arrive quickly and took our drink order and the soft drinks we ordered arrived shortly after. The drinks look ok but lacked carbonation and were undrinkable. A few minutes later the server returned to take our entrée orders. We had decided that each person would order a different entrée and we would share each dish with each other. The food arrived quickly and the different entrees began being passed around the table. The problem was by the time some of the entrees reached the seventh and eighth person there was not much left. I have never ever eaten at a Chinese American restaurant were you did not take food home never. Peter our sever did a great job and the service was great. The problem for me are the portion sizes. They were really small and pricy at 15.00 to 18.00 dollars. Each couple spent 51.00 + tip. Next time I will pass on PF Chang’s…

This was terrible and for the price even worse, panda express would have been better choice. It was so salty it was almost unedible… So disappointed won’t be coming back ever.

I haven’t been to a P.F. Chang’s for YEARS. I have not found a Chinese restaurant worth going back to in the eight years I have lived in the Salt Lake Valley, so I rarely choose Chinese. Recently at Costco they had the buy $ 100 worth of PF Chang’s gift cards for $ 79.99 so I bought it and thought it would be fun to take the kiddos and try it again. We LOVED every dish we had and had a great dinner! We had the Dynamite Shrimp for an appetizer, which was delicious but a small serving. Sooo yummy. We had both the Chang’s Spicy chicken and the Crispy Honey Chicken. Both were good, but the Spicy chicken was a standout. The Walnut Shrimp with melon was awesome. The melon seemed like a strange accompaniment, but it tasted amazing together and my husband and I stole every last bite of melon out of that dish. It had a better taste than most walnut shrimp dishes from other restaurants that seem like they are just doused in a can of sweetened condensed milk. This version had some tang to it and was slightly less heavy of a dish. It also was a decently generous serving of walnut shrimp. I couldn’t get enough of the Mongolian Beef. It was flavorful and crispy. We also had the combination fried rice because that’s a favorite of the kiddos. It was fine but nothing exciting. The restaurant was crowded on a Saturday night, of course. We did call ahead seating and took probably 20 minutes to drive there and park and then waited another 30 once we checked in at the restaurant. Not too crazy for a Saturday night around 6:30 with a party of five. I called earlier in the day to get reservations and they only accept reservations for a party of six or more. All in all, we had a great dinner and we are looking forward to going back. It was as good as I remember from years ago.

Every time we have come here has been a very pleasant experience. The Changs Dinner for Two is a fun date item and it ends with the Great Wall of Chocolate. All of the entrees are cooked meeting or exceeding expectations. This is a great low risk experience for great food and ambience. If you have a choice in seating prefer the east side and stay away from the bathrooms where the air can get quite drafty and cold.

We came in around 9pm super hungry. Our waitress(who I should’ve got her name) was honestly terrible. She was around 20 years old with brown hair tied up. Lots of earrings. her attitude was that she didn’t care. She has no knowledge of the menu and messed up our dinner. I asked for sauce on the side for my walnut shrimp. didn’t happen. My friend asked for dumplings with sweet potato which she said could be done but came back as everyone elses food was arriving and said it cannot be done. My friend had to re order while everyone else ate and when we finished she got her dinner. of soup. The food seemed not fresh, deep fried and drowned in sauces. The only thing i liked were the veggie lettuce wraps. We won’t be back.

Good American style Asian food. Delicious, but not spectacular. We had the spicy chang chicken and the shrimp quinoa. I liked that the chicken was«delicately» deep fried, instead of covered in a thick layer of batter like most places do. However, they didn’t rinse their quinoa well enough, and I got several bites with grit in it. Service was prompt and very pleasant. I would recommend this place for a nice night out. (On a side note, my husband says this is yummier than Cheesecake Factory. I disagree. Personal preference I guess)

We were celebrating last night and wanted to have a nice dinner. We went to PF Chang’s and oh my… it was WONDERFUL! We started off with a sushi roll. Lobster and Avocado and it was so yummy! We shared 2 entrees: Chang’s Spicy Chicken & Kung Pao Scallops. They were both delicious! The Scallops are worth going there for. I WILL get those next time! I loved the option of having quinoa instead of rice! What an amazing dinner!

I like P.F. Changs. Really, I do. It’s a fun atmosphere, the food is good, and the service is friendly. All a-okay qualities. But wow, it’s pricey for what you get, and it is my opinion that the food quality versus the local Chinese place I typically frequent is not proportionate to the cost. It is better, but not $ 15−20/plate better. We go only on special occasions, or when someone else is paying — and we seem to know a handful of people who really love this place. As for me — walking out of a Chinese restaurant having put down $ 50(including tip) is a little ridiculous for my taste. Advice if you do go: make a reservation, because the place will be packed. Try the famous lettuce wraps, and skip the egg drop soup unless you really love salt. And above all, go with a group and share. Everybody gets an entrée and swaps. It’s a good system, and enables you to try more.

I’ve been hearing about how great the food from PF Changs is for years and finally went last night and I have to say the food wasn’t that great. Our server wasn’t very personable and never seemed like she wanted to be there. The fried green bean appetizer we had was fantastic but the main entrees seemed to be underwhelming as far as flavor goes. I would recommend this place to anyone. If you want good Chinese food there are better places for the same price.

Food was good. Service wasn’t so hot. We had a party of six, an the server asked four for their drink order then walked away. The four drinks arrived, apps ordered, and apps arrived before the other two got any drinks. Then we waited a while before our dinner orders were even taken.

There was a bug on my cheesecake. I showed the waitress and she saw it, took it away and brought us another one. I thought maybe be she would do something but no luck. I give them 1 little green bugs and posting a pic.

Ok, I know 5 stars really? But yes they are really that good! Went there for our my Connie’s Bday & our 29th anniversary & Valentines so I needed to get it right. This place is amazing, they have incredible Chinese statues, very nice feel about the place even though it’s always incredibly busy. Some places just get it right. For starters we had the legendary Lettuce wraps, and the green beans. Lettuce wrap are to die for green beans are good also. I had the Chinese pepper beef wow very good spicy but nice I added the noodles because being from Idaho not a fan of rice. Connie had the Kung Pao shrimp it’s excellent. For dessert you gotta try the Great chocolate wall it’s 6 layers of deliciousness! We just love this place. The servers were all excellent. Seriously 5 stars!!!

Really, the only crappy part about downtown Salt Lake is the fact that I can never find any parking. And even once I do, it costs an arm and a leg to park for a couple of hours. There is a small parking lot at the back of the restaurant that is fairly cheap, but the odds of you finding a stall to park in are slim to none. That’s my only complaint, now let’s get to the good stuff. I’ve only been to P.F. Changs a few times and this one was absolutely fabulous. We had to wait about ten minutes, but that was expected seeing as it was Valentines Day – but even then, a ten minute wait wasn’t too shabby. We were given a buzzer and took a menu so we could know what we wanted to eat right when we got seated. The food: We ordered the forever acclaimed Lettuce Wraps as our appetizer, Mongolian Beef and Spicy Chicken as our entrees, with Egg Drop Soup that washed down our rice. The friends: Everyone working was very friendly and always put us first. The hostess made sure our wait was not too long and our waiter took very good care of us even though he had a plethora of other tables. The fun: The atmosphere is always awesome. You can see the chefs cooking through clear windows as you eat, the decorations make it seem like you are in an episode of Mulan, and they have chopsticks for you to use at every table. Again, if you are looking for great food and great service, be sure to check this restaurant out – after you find a place to park, of course. TIPS&TRICKS: * Try the Great Wall of Chocolate for dessert, you will not regret it! * Don’t you dare leave without eating your fortune cookie, I feel that’s practically illegal not to share fortunes and laughs.

I am on a first date. Her: where are we going? Me: we are going to Chinese(smirk) Her:(disappointed face) I thought you were better than that… We arrive at P F Chang and I valet the car. Her: this is not Chinese lol Guys, this is why you go to ‘P’ ‘F’ ‘Chaaaang’ No girl wants to tell her friends or tweet about ‘he took me to some chinese restaurant’ But they would be happy to talk about ‘we went to P F Chang. Chinese restaurant Vs P F Chang. There is a big difference. The food is alright. Obviously, a young guy following franchise recipe can’t beat the old guy straight from china who has been cooking 20+ years. You are paying the extra because of the name value, hot staffs, cool interior design and classy crowds. Bottom line: this is not ‘Chineeeese’. It’s ‘P F Chaaaang’
