Warning convention goers– there is no way to arrange in advance for a large party. It simply isn’t their business model. That said, the beer is famous and awesome. I wish I could tell you what the food taste ls like.

This place quickly became one of our staples. I walk to the restaurant so I don’t fight parking. And that makes me like it even better. It does look like there’s a pay to park(?) right next door, and if you’re lucky there’s some street-side spots. But walk, I think you’ll be happier. The interior has a lot of seating options. There are larger booths toward the front, small two-tops toward the back, the downstairs bar, the upstairs bar, and a really adorable patio, which I have never seen opened for seating(but would love to try). Every seat is good, but I liked the relative quiet of the upstairs bar the best, plus you almost get a server all to yourself up there – I hesitate to let you in on this secret b/c it may spoil my solitude. The menu is good for lunch, dinner, or just snacks/desserts or drinks. I’ve always been impressed. I’ve tried the mac & cheese with sausage and the portion is really large and filling. I had the pretzels and the mustard and cheese are awesome. The peanut butter dessert is amazing. My mate had a burger and it was cooked to her liking and flavorful. Reasonable prices also. The drinks are wonderous. They have many beers, and do NOT have that SLC attitude when serving them. What is it about this city being pretentious and snotty when serving alcohol as if it’s some sort of secret-special club??? None of that at Squatters. Everyone has been nothing but nice, accommodating, and down-to-Earth – finally! They even have beer samplers, which due to some Utah law can only be served 2 at a time and with food(?) something like that. But they are quick to replace the samplers, as you need, to make it more of a true sampling experience. The best thing on their drink menu sounds the worst – beertail. Garden something – listed first on the beertails menu – is outstanding! I ordered it to say I tried a beer-cocktail, but loved it so much I had to have a second visit to have it again. Try it, you won’t be sorry. Overall, it’s a really cool place to be without being«hipstered-out.»

Have always loved going here however this time was disappointing. We got seated fairly quickly. Our server was the only one serving all the tables in our room which made the service very slow. We ordered our food which took over 30 minutes to get. One guest ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was awful. The egg was completely cooked and cold. The rest of the food for the table was mediocre besides the nachos one of our guests ordered. They sat a table of 10+ next to us who were obnoxiously loud and we could barely hear to have a conversation between our table. Hope to see some changes so we could one day return and have a better experience.

Decent local brewpub. They brew their own rotation of beers but also sell other stuff. This is a very busy place, so make sure to arrive early and put your name on the waiting list. They don’t take reservations unless it’s a party of 10 or more. The food is typical brewpub fare but it’s done well. I had the buffalo burger which was delicious. We can’t get bison back East so this is always a treat. Parking is fairly easy. There’s a parking lot right next to the restaurant and some on street parking as well. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a casual bite and a local beer.

This was our second visit to Squatters in PC. It has a great local eatery vibe. It’s decorated neatly and with a modern clean look that is not overly pub nor too sophisticated to be friendly. The 11yo was very happy with her burger and fries. The 15yo ordered our server’s favorite the turkey and avocado sandwich. The sandwich arrived on a perfect ciabatta roll with fresh ingredients and was eaten up quickly. Mom ordered a tasty blackened tilapia salad and was also impressed with the balanced and fresh ingredients. Dad ordered the taco salad with beef and rated it «good». We spent 60 $.

This is a great place to visit if you’re in the Salt Lake City area. Located just walking distance from the convention center, this place has a fun and relaxing atmosphere with a great menu and unique beer list. While dining at Squatters I enjoyed he Reuben sandwich and the full suspension pale ale. It was a great pairing and I would recommend them both to anyone! The pale ale is a great session beer if you are planning on being at the bar for a while. In addition to a great dining experience, Squatters is also a great place to host events. I attended a happy hour here on the third floor while at Outdoor Retailer this past winter and it was a great as well!

Squatters is an awesome brew pub in the heart of SLC. They really know how to treat their guests; my company hosted a dinner for us there while on a work conference. Not too sure if it’s on their standard menu, but the cod and stuffed chicken were amazing. They have a great variety of beer choices that rivals any Texas brewery. My favorite was the Captain Bastard oatmeal stout. The multitude of World Beer Cup awards on the first floor can tell you just how good their brews are.

Very nice place to get a casual bite to eat and a beer. I’m not a drinker but everyone says they have beer good local choices. I had the fish & chips, and the wife had the meatloaf. Fish excellent, but chips were nasty. My wife loved the meatloaf, and she said it had a little kick. Overall recommend, but don’t order chips unless you want the same French fries you get from Kentucky fried chicken.

Very good food. The service was a little slower than I like at the bar, but it was fairly good. We tried all of their appetizers because we are planning an event there. The onion rings are fantastic. They have great meeting space and a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this for any event or just to grab a bite to eat.

Good beer selection. Good friendly enviornment. Good salads and hummus dip. Road tripping from San Fran, and starving we were happy to find this place and see that it was still full of energy at 10pm. Good, attentive service. Gave us a good impression of salt lake in general.

A pioneer craft brewery in Salt Lake City, Squatters has been an institution and a go-to place for several years. The beer, once the best in town now has plenty of competition from smaller, more nimble and probably creative craft breweries. But, that said, it’s beer and ales still beat out many others on a national level. As a food place, on my most recent visit last night, it demonstrated a somewhat mediocre performance. The server was great. He did a fine job attending our table and checked back several times. Our water was regularly filled and beer, food and appetizers were served on a timely basis. The calamari appetizer was very good and the beers up to a good level. My main quality issue was with the meatloaf I ordered. It was served on tepid mashed potatoes and had a hard crusty bottom that tasted burnt and overcooked. The flavor was just fair and the dried onion layered over the top didn’t enhance the dish. My wife did like her bourbon burger but commented that even though she ordered it cooked medium, it was served medium rare. The accompanying salad was pretty good. Overall, I think Squatters has slipped a bit from a few years ago. A little tightening up on quality could go a long way to move forward and not just rely on past laurels to get by.

we had a fun time at this place! Service was really great. We sat upstairs, and had service really quickly. I ordered the curry, which was delicious and a nice portion. I also had a delicious seasonal draft beer($ 4). I would have liked it if they had table bread… but otherwise it was a nice experience.

Squatters craft beers has such a cool vibe! We walked from our hotel which was about a block or two away. Inside the restaurant we were immediately greeted by friendly hostesses and a warm environment. The menu features all of squatters signature flavors and some seasonal offerings. I tried just about every flavor! Their samples are great, only $ 0.49 giving you the chance to try new things without the commitment of a full glass. We ordered appetizers, two entrees, two full size beers, a ton of samples, and dessert. Our bill came out to $ 50! What a steal! Be sure to try the peanut butter chocolate pie. It was sinful!

We went here to kill a little time before heading to the airport to pick up my parents for Christmas so we didn’t have time to have a full meal but based on our experience we will certainly be back for a full meal. We just had the nachos, which were delicious and was a very generous serving. The beer of course was fantastic as I have come to expect from Squatters and the draught special was a very tasty Irish ale. Our server did a great job taking care of us and made sure to bring our stuff promptly when we told her we were under a time crunch. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience that we will definitly be back ot try more.

Good ambience, good food, good beer, good service. What more can we ask for? Blackened Tilapia Salad($ 12.99) ~ Love love love the salad! It was soooo delicious! Big portion and very tasty! Tilapia was well-cooked, no fishy taste at all, goes well with spinach, avocado, lime dressing topped with wasabi. It has a very complexed and unique taste that you won’t get to taste it elsewhere. Squatters Burbon($ 11.99) ~ Classic burger topped with cheddar and bourbon garlic and onions. Full Suspension(Pale Ale) Draft Beer ~ Recommended by server when I told him I love IPA beer, this is pretty similar, very good brewed beer.

When you walk into a brewery, you don’t always expect a rockin’ atmosphere and a huge, delicious menu. But Squatters delivers for sure! Whether it’s a drink, appetizers, entrees, salads or desserts… Squatters has you covered! Food: Their artichoke cheese dip is spot-on. The pita bread is hot and soft and the cheese dip is super rich. What a delicious appetizer! The fried pickles, cut into rounds and fried to perfection, are also very good! The bread pudding has a custard-like consistency(not too bread-y) but the flavor is very good. The bourbon sauce on top is not too strong, so that’s a plus if you don’t like that part! The peanut butter pie is like a slice of heaven. It’s not too sweet, but has the consistency of a rich, thick, peanut buttery mousse. It’s SOGOOD! I’d consider it a MUST if you’ve never had it before. Drinks: Didn’t try the beer, but the hot toddy’s are great! Atmosphere: What a neat atmosphere Squatters has. The ceilings are very high, and it’s decorated with their beer logos and posters from decades past. They have short & tall tables as well as bar-top seating. The fireplace makes it feel nice and cozy. I think they nailed the overall vibe of Squatters. Service: Not my favorite part of our visit. We had a good view of the open kitchen, and both times our food was ready, it sat there for over 5-minutes while our server walked past it several times. The dips and appetizers were not even hot when they got to our table. So that’s my only thing, though I’m definitely willing to look past it and return again! So, this place just keeps getting better and better. Consistency has always been an issue, but lately they seem to have figured out the recipe for success. The service has improved. The food has improved. Even the beer has improved, over the years. I personally LOVE Hop Rising, which is a big, bold, ultra-hoppy, DIPA. They really do have a beer to please nearly any palate. On my most recent visit, Cori was my server and she was excellent! She’s super helpful and friendly and was right on top of things. So, yeah, I really love Squatters!

I am going to go ahead and say that I think this place is very overrated and overpriced. I came as part of a larger group, and we were seated upstairs. There wasn’t really anyone else up there for the most part, which I guess it made it less noisy and easier to talk. but sorta took away from the atmosphere. The food was a big fat meh to me. The appetizer nachos were actually pretty darn good. The burgers looked like they probably would have been good. I love salad and chose to get a salad. Yeah I think it was maybe the wrong choice? For being close to 15 $ dollars it wasn’t big or very good at all. I was not impressed. There are plenty of cafes where you can get a better salad for half the price. I don’t drink beer. so maybe that is what everyone raves about? I wasn’t too impressed with my experience. Service was fine, but the overall experience wasn’t something I really enjoyed and I will pick somewhere else next time.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for squatters yet. This is a nice place to go with friends to just have a chill night and drink some beers. We would always order a pitcher and then some side apps to enjoy. They always have special season beer and some of them are usually good. They never disappoint during the Winter seasons. The food here is fantastic. My favorite dish to order is their sweet potato fries and their calamari. The calamari is friend to perfection. It isn’t soggy and it is crunchy enough. The only thing is to be careful what you snack on because they fry lemons along with the calamari and sometimes you could mistake it for a zucchini or something else. The sweet potato fries is very delicious esp with the fry sauce they give with it. But the fries it self is very sweet and salty. All in all… totally recommend this place if you want a very nice chill night with friends

This is a SLC classic. I won’t go on about it but they are great. If you want a solid meal with lots of options hit it up. You won’t be bummed.
