Smith’s Marketplace

For big shopping, I drive here instead of the one just a few blocks from my home. Last time I went I forgot my bag of groceries on the end of the lane. I went back and they replaced the items with no problems or attitude. Love this store.

While vacationing in Utah with my husband and our 3 dogs (yep, I’m one of those people who travel with their pets… so what?), we stopped by this market few times to stock up on some needed items for our trip while we stay in our AirBnB rental.
This market is part of the Kroger family (essential Ralphs back at home for me), and so we were able to use our club card to save some additional money on our trips (just an FYI for those visiting out of state).
Anyways, this market is clean and had your typical offerings of what you would expect to find in a traditional super market.
Plenty of parking in their lot.
No complaints, will most likely come back here again before our vacation is up to get a few more items.

My most visited Smith’s location. They got a nice friendly staff. Products are always in stock and I know exactly where things I need are. So I am in out in no time specially with their great self checkout service.

I went here and experienced some of the worst customer service from both James and Brett… Apparently they are managers but they couldn’t manager their way out of a paper bag. Really really sad at how bad the help was, didn’t even try to help me when I had an issue.

The only reason I give the Fred Meyer jeweler 5 stars is because of Jessica. My husband and I bought my engagement ring from another smiths Fred meyer and it was awful. The service was horrible, they canceled the order and we didn’t even get out ring until AFTER we were married but when I walk in to this store Jessica is ALWAYS fabulous and knows me by name and knows what I need and she has taken such great care of us. I will only ever work with her.

After the service I received today, I am now a lifetime customer! So I just got a smiths card and lost it, so an employee quickly got me a new one restoring all my old points.
THEN I bought some command hooks and bed sheets with some other stuff, but left those items at the self checkout! Upon my 5 hour delayed return, they let me go get the items I purchased earlier.
So happy there’s a store that listens to my concerns with trust, and helps accordingly. Smiths truly wants the best for their customers. Best customer service I’ve received anywhere. Including the employee who carried my painting to my car and loaded it as well. New favorite store by far!!! Plus love the rewards card. So happy, thanks Smiths!!!
The only thing that was a little off was the lady helping me with a painting. I asked her how much and she said $ 50… Probably too expensive for you… Which is hilarious because I went with the $ 100 one, but maybe she didn’t mean for it to come out that way because what the heck.

Be wary if you order pre-​made food here (deli, sushi bar, etc). It’s good quality, but not everything is always labeled with the correct ingredients.

This location has been in salt lake as long as I remember. My experience has been particularly favorable due to the amazing customer service I’ve received here.
The staff is particularly helpful and genuine. The stir is clean and the produce is usually well stocked and clean. There are usually a lot of customers around the evenings and that can get annoying but otherwise this location is ideal. The split level has everything well organized and easy to find.

Overwhelming the first time you go in. I wasn’t expecting a full on department store with everything from electronics to furniture to clothes to a Fred Meyer Jeweler, but hey, good for you, Smith’s. Once you get past the initial shock of this being much more than just a grocery store, you’ll realize that it’s kind of nice to not have to go all the way to WalMart or Target for a lot of things you can find here, assuming you are more in the downtown area.
The only thing I don’t really like about this place is the organization. It’s tough to figure out where a lot of the items would be here, but the staff is really helpful, so it kind of balances the confusion about where things are shelved.

It’s easy to get lost in this supermarket it is so big. It has a great range of products but if you are looking for an obscure ingredient they probably have it but it can take a long time to find it as the shelving order isn’t that logical. Get the Smiths values card for rewards points and savings.

The employees at this place are pretty much always rude however this is a one stop shop for everything.

Formerly Fred Meyers, this is basically like a target, just not as great of clothes. There is everything under the sun here: clothing, food, electronics, home goods, gardening and outdoor needs, shoes, jewlery, etc…
The place is huge and is usually clean. The sales people that I have interacted with were all very friendly and very helpful. This is my go-​to Christmas shopping spot. They have slippers and a wallet for the bro. The go-​pro for pops. Gift cards for the cousins. Cute purses and gardening stuff for mom. Seriously, this place has a great selection and everything is decently priced. I have never gone in and was like AHHH GAHHHH THE PRICES ARE SOOO HIGH! Lots of parking as well!
