My Favorite yogurt place so far! I wasn’t even aware that I should have a «yogurt place» but apparently I do.
It’s true they only have a handful of yogurt choices, but why anyone would want anything other than than the acai & original mixed is beyond me. Tart, tangy, sweet and smooth. It’s so good it outshines the toppings. I wish I could just get a bigger tub of it without the toppings! Seriously, next time they ask me for my toppings I’m saying «more yogurt».

Not my favorite place but it’s good. I love the quirkiness of the place, but am not in love with the limited frozen yogurt choices. I’ve been there over a dozen times and there’s only been one yogurt flavor change over these last few months. Pretty disappointing… Toppings are ok but last time I was there the fruit had a funny aftertaste. The price is reasonable and the place is clean, so it’s worth a try.

The yogurt is delicious! Could use a little more topping options, and the customer service complaints are valid (disinterested college girls), but I LOVE that they’re open on Sundays and their spoons which disintegrate after 90 days. Very earth-​friendly.

Wow! is the adj. that came to mind first; the feeling stayed w/​me for the remainder.

Spoon Me is pretty good but the toppings could be improved. You don’t get a whole lot for your money here. I appreciate the Acai berry yogurt, that’s a first for me. It also gave me a chance to show off the fact that I know how to pronounce Acai to my friends.
Again, no mochi. I simply LOVE mochi on frozen yogurt and I feel really sad and empty inside without it.
They have a cool promo on facebook where they pull all the names of people who like their page and make monthly calendars. If your name is on the calendar then you get 2 for 1 froyo on your day. I missed mine. Sad.

Spoon Me was one of the first if not first frozen yogurt joints in SLC. When they first opened I was excited to have a place to quench my thirst for tart fro-​yo and fresh fruit.
The product, i.e. yogurt and toppings are decent, but I dislike the limited amount of toppings they allow per serving. I am a fan of loading up my frozen yogurt with ample amounts of fresh fruit. Another FAIL for Spoon Me is the limited selection of 2 flavors of frozen yogurt.
The employees are college students who don’t offer any real customer service and are more concerned with their friends or their cell phones. (I sound like a grumpy old man)
If you like frozen yogurt this place is OK, but luckily SLC now offers a wider variety of choices for your fro-​yo fix

This place is a far cry from pinkberry, golden spoon, and all of the other great frozen yogurt spots. Plus, I am all for socializing, but the girl working while I was in there had all of her friends in and they were extremely LOUD. my friends and I could not carry on a conversation, and left. In better news, I discovered Juicy Berry at the Gateway, and LOVE IT.

At this point, I have no idea who was first, second, third, fourth, etc into this trend. For the most part, all these outfits taste the same to me, although I’m partial to Red Mango since they were my first. But whoever it is, I do love the frozen real-​yogurt concept as a healthy dessert alternative.
At Spoon Me, they have a plain option and a toppings option; the latter is THREE toppings though. Can’t I have just one? I just want a little bit. And the «half spoon» size is huge.
I was surprised by how fresh the fruit was. Kiwi, strawberries, and blueberries in the middle of March? Kudos to them for finding good stuff.

Natural Frozen Yogurt with fresh fruit toppings seems to be the new trend. Ever since Pink Berry there has been this froyo craze. I have to admit, it’s a great money maker and I totally bought in. I love froyo and I love fruit. It’s a winning combo. Spoon Me was decent. How awesome is it that they got the URL

The décor is like all other froyo places — clean and simple with bright colored walls. The problem with Spoon Me was not the yogurt but the toppings. The fruit was just not that fresh and the place was a bit dirty. The service could also use a little work. A pimpled faced teenage girl gave me a bit of an attitude when I asked to try the green tea flavor. Overall it was satisfactory.

I was pretty stoked to see this place open since I recently moved back to SLC after living in Cali, home to froyo of all kinds. So far, I’m satisfied with what they have. It’s cheaper then places like Pinkberry and Red Mango and they give you lots of fruit. The one thing I don’t like is that they always make a hole in the middle of their yogurt so sometimes I feel like I’m getting jipped for what I pay for. The one thing I wish they had is a mochi topping, but I guess there’s only so much you can ask for in SLC.

Ever since I discovered Spoon Me last fall, I’ve been hooked, and I don’t even live in Salt Lake! A nice, cool, tasty cup o’ froyo is on the itinerary every time I visit downtown SLC. My favorite? Plain with pomegranates, mangoes and pineapple. Yeah, it’s pretty delish. Spoon Me’s repertoire of toppings includes chocolate, natural peanut butter, cereal and all kinds of fruit. They also offer green tea as a yogurt flavor.
A bonus to Spoon Me is that everything in the store, from the cups to the napkins to the spoons to the merchandise comes from recycled materials and is eco-​friendly.
I’d rate it 5 stars if I had something to compare Spoon Me to. Dishing out the 5-​star rating just like that doesn’t seem appropriate when it’s the only froyo place I’ve been to, ya know?

Well, I finally tried Spoon Me last night and had my first new gen fro yo experience in Utah and I have to say that it wasn’t very good. My only other in experience with this type of fro yo is Ice Berry in Reston, VA and it was much better than Spoon Me.
Spoon Me’s yogurt is much sweeter than what I found at Ice Berry and I was very disappointed by this. In addition, they did not carry the traditional Korean melon flavor and that was also a disappointment. As an alternative to the natural flavor they offered Green Tea and it was not very good. It almost tasted dirty.
This location is completely green when it comes to décor and the paper/​plastic products that they use and I love this
about them.
The crowd when we went was high school and high school only and as we walked out the kids were throwing a hacky sack back and forth and over our heads and while I am not super old, I did find this quite annoying and a bit of a turn-​off. I am all for kids enjoying themselves, but not if they are annoying the other paying customers. The staff, being high school as well, did not seem to care.
I guess this is a good opportunity for Utahan’s to adjust their taste buds to the new gen of fro yo, but I do look forward to trying Red Mango soon and I hope to see an Ice Berry come along as well.

Update from ²⁄₀₈: I was back in town in January and went back. Had the plain with strawberries, cap’n crunch and fruity pebbles. What can I say, I was in the mood for «junk». Also very good. I can’t wait to go back!
I posted on the Unilocal forum a few weeks back asking for fro-​yo recs and this was one of the places that was mentioned. How UTAH of all places (no offense Utahans) managed to get a better Pinkberry knockoff than we’ve managed to score in SF is beyond me. I’m in town for a ski vacation in Park City and we came down to check it (and another restaurant) out.
The yogurt is tart and the toppings definitely make it even better. I had an original yogurt with strawberries and pomegranate and it was delicious! If you’re wondering what the Pinkberry hype is in So. Cal, come and check out this place and make up your mind for yourself. I really liked it. If you don’t like regular yogurt and you’re looking for a truly sweet dessert option, you probably won’t like it so be warned!
