Snider Bros Meats

My parents used to come here to get meats for special occasions. I had no idea they had a deli… I went and tried it and it was excellent! Loaded with meat and you get to pick what goes on it. I had a pastrami Swiss and loved it! I also got some skirt steak to make dinner and oh how great it was! Love this place!

My family and our friends have for years enjoyed authentic smoked turkey from Sniders. This last Thanksgiving I purchased a whole smoked turkey beautifully smoked to almost black skin. It was wonderful! Last week I purchased another smoked turkey (breast) that has a completely different flavor (no smoked flavor.) And when I called them I was told it was brined and that was the way it was smoked. Has anyone seen a smoked turkey that looks like this?

The only negative was our top sirloin didn’t have any flavor the first time we tried it. We came back, however, and it was much better!

Always friendly service and they are very knowledgeable! Smells wonderful just walking in. They have great sandwiches and sides for lunch, local cheeses for sale, fantastic selection of meats and a very robust selection of frozen meats, seafood, and pre-​made meals (great lasagna and pot pies!). Anything you need to help you look like a pro at your BBQ or dinner party!

Finally… we got to a REAL meat market on Thursday night and picked up eight awesome 1″ thick ribeye steaks from Snider Brothers.
Had the rest of the family over that evening, and everyone thought these steaks were one of the best tasting steaks they’ve had. I can tell you that I sure felt that this ribeye was one of the best in years, and heartily surpasses anything prepared by Ruth’s Chris (was just there in May), Spencer’s (was there for my 50^th… meh), Carver’s, Fleming’s (a few years back), or Chrisopher’s (here in Draper, now closed and I know why!)
My wife pre-​ordered the 8 large 1″ thick ribeye steaks (@ $ 15/​each) «pre-​seasoned» by Snider Bros. I was a little leery of that, as I like to marinate my steaks in Dale’s. But after my first bite, I was hooked. Just an awesome steak seasoning that really brought out the flavor.
My wife and I have vowed to never buy meat again from Harmon’s, Smith’s, Fresh Market, or any of the other local stores. The only retailer/​wholesaler that even comes close is Costco’s meat department. We’ve had some fine (large) steaks from them, but really… why even bother anymore? We’re patronizing Snider Bros. from here on out. In fact, we’re going out to purchase a new freezer today, and will soon be stocking it with Snider’s steaks.
Oh, and did I mentioned the array of other meats (going to try some skirt steaks for Sunday ‘steak and eggs’ someday…), and their wonderful selection of sausages! At least 13 different varieties at last count! Gonna’ have to fire up the grill and have a hots and brats cookout in the coming weeks!
Great service by the staff, and easy to get to there off Highland Drive.

The menu for the deli sandwiches says phone orders are welcome. I called in to order a sandwich and the man was so rude. The sandwiches are incredible I won’t lie, my work often provides them, but when I called in myself to place an order I experienced the worst customer service ever. He acted like I was stupid for asking to order a sandwich and then finally told me they weren’t making sandwiches today. The hours online say open until six Saturday. No where online does it say this excludes sandwiches. So just be advised, apparently you can’t get sandwiches on Saturdays.

Do you want the best deli sandwich in the valley? A sandwich that surpasses the mass mediocrity represented by Firehouse Subs, and beats the hell out of the abominations that rhyme with Smubway, and Flimpies? A deli sandwich worthy of the name? Then Snider’s Brother’s is the place.
Quality meats, piled super high, and custom made to your specifications. Check out my pic of the pastrami sandwich I designed. I said check it out, dammit!
The closest comparison is The Grove, a stand alone in the gargantuan sandwich department. But I actually prefer Snider’s. There is a better balance of bread and meat, and you can actually eat it like a sandwich, instead of with a knife and fork. My moans are genuine and audible when I have gorge on it’s massiveness.
The store itself is awesome, with a huge variety of butchered animal flesh ready to be bought and consumed. While I have purchased a few pork butts, some local barbecue sauce, and some frozen sausages over the years, I mostly come for the sandwiches.
Be forewarned. If you come for lunch in the middle of a workday, only eat half, or you will be a diabetic zombie for the rest of the day. Save the rest for dinner.
These mammoth sandwiches deserve to be treated with respect.

You’ll never have to cook again. Ha. Their deli is wonderful for lunch – many meat, bread and salad options. Grab a drink and a bag of chips to finish the meal.
They have fresh and frozen meats, entrees and sides (meatloaf, lasagna, pasta, enchiladas, quiche, chile rellenos, meat pies, kabobs, jam, salsa, soups, gravy). Everything to make great dinners.

Awesome place for a fresh deli sandwich or meat for a bbq.
Do yourself a favor and check them out! Support a local shop rather than a large franchised food chain.

Above average deli sandwiches, for reference I give subway a 1.5 solely based on their sandwiches. Not a fan of the bread. If they just offered different bread that wasn’t so thick or bland, they would definitely be one of the highest ranking here in SLC due to that meat quality and option to build your own sandwich. I was craving a deli sandwich and looked on Unilocal to see where to get one. I had been to this company before to pick out meat, but I didn’t know they had a sandwich deli. I gave it a try. It did the job.

Snider Bros Meats is a meat emporium with just about every type of meaty deliciousness available for sale. They have chicken and beef, pork and sausages, lamb, some fish and lots of other items for sale. Although I’ve been here several times I’ve never actually purchased anything from the meat counter. Instead we stop in for their fresh sandwiches. They make some very good sandwiches on fresh Stoneground Bakery buns piled high with meats, cheese and veggies of your choice. With your sandwich grab a drink and your choice of side dish. They have a small seating area if you want to dine in or you can order to go.

I grew up in CA eating tri-​tip all the time. We eat it by itself and also in sandwiches. It’s the most popular bleacher food at high school football games. The county fairs all serve tri-​tip more than anything else.
When I moved to Utah I thought I had to say goodbye to good tri-​tip. But not anymore! I discovered the santa Maria Tri-​tip here through a friend. When I finally brought one home to grill I couldn’t wait. They season it and get it all ready for the grill. It was delicious! Definitely the best steak you can buy in Utah. It can serve a lot of people and makes great tri-​tip sandwiches. This place is now the only place I buy my meat!

I think Snider’s has too much of a cult like following and I’m wondering if most feel obligated to give a full 5 stars because everyone else has.
I stopped by last week to grab some BBQ staples. I asked a few questions and was surprised that the folks behind the counter either weren’t interested in talking or just didn’t know the answers. I asked for some recommendations and some preferences for some cuts of meat and some sausage. The answers I got were basically «its all pretty good» or «its whatever you like».
I decided to get some sausage but was disappointed that there wasn’t any fresh. I had to dig through the freezer to get some. Some of the items in the freezer looked to have been in there for awhile and the sausages were all vacuum packed and smashed. I didn’t have time to go elsewhere and got the frozen sausage.
When I cooked up the sausages I was disappointed to see that some of the casings were already broken, probably from being vacuum packed. I charged ahead and cooked them up like I always have.
When I went to serve them up I tried my first taste. I didn’t like what I tasted. I couldn’t figure it out, they looked great, looked juicy and per my thermapen were cooked perfectly.
Nearly everyone at the party tried the sausage but almost no one finished their portion and I saw several leftovers in the garbage. People were certainly not going back for seconds.
I was embarrassed and had to apologize for the sausage. Not impressed. I think I will stick to Harmons and their butcher counter.
Its been a couple years since I have been here and had a good experience in the past and I think that’s the only reason I’m giving 3 stars.

Best Butcher shop I have seen. Huge selection of meats, and the quality of the meat is superb. I have not tried any of their pre-​flavored stuff, but their meat is top notch and the selection would be hard to beat.
Staff was very friendly and helpful while I was there, it was quick and easy to find what I needed. I didn’t pay too much attention to the cost, as I was purely looking for quality and Snider Bros did not disappoint in that area.
Would definitely recommend trying them out if you live or work anywhere near the area. I really wish they were closer to Lehi so I could visit them much more often.

Unbelievable and unbeatable selection and quality. This is possibly the best butcher I have been to in my life. Friendly, outgoing staff that are not only patient but add a certain warmth to the shopping experience. Sandwiches that are top notch. Worth a lengthy trek (I live 30 minutes away and would not begrudge said travel time). This one is not to be missed!

Great selection of meat and sides. The fresh jalapeño sausage was deliciously spicy. Wonderful cuts of steak and other meats.

This place has some awesome meat and a great selection to choose from! When you walk in an amazing smell hits you and you just want to buy their meat. They also offer fresh made deli sandwiches that are very tasty and made to order. I got a black pepper turkey and ham sandwich. The black pepper turkey is awesome! I love eating it by itself cuz it has such a great flavor. I bought the flat iron steak and it grilled up great and tasted very fresh. Some of the best meat I have tried. So much better than chain stores. I also tried the tri-​tip steak and that was so dang good! They have a special seasoning already coated on the meat and it was an fantastic flavor. I am looking forward to trying so many more meats from snider! Just a few I can remember are teriyaki chicken, hot dogs, and other cuts of steak!
I went back and got the Santa Maria chicken to try. It is so dang good! My boyfriend grilled it and it turned out so freaky tasty. We were worried that it would lose the seasoning when we grilled it but it didn’t. They have awesome marinated chicken and it was delicious!

A true gem! I was in need of some filet mignon for a belated valentines day dinner. I was at Sprouts and they were apparently out (~$ 20/​lb). I was in desperate need and for some reason thought of going to Whole Foods, gave them a call. $ 30/​lb! Definitely wasn’t going to do that. Luckily trusty google led me to here! I’m so glad it did. Amazing selection, amazing staff. And very reasonable prices for the cuts! Sadly this place isn’t the closest to my house, but I would deff come back!
Overall– I would deff come back and would of course tell a friend too! $ 20/​lb for the same cut Whole Foods was charging $ 30/​lb! I am very satisfied!

Local family owned butcher shop, what else should I have to stay. Great meat tons of cuts and are very accommodating for any special requests.
Frankly, you can’t beat their meat.

Complete your life with Snider Bros, friends, for they surely have lots of cuts of meat. Your friendly neighborhood meat shop. From big ol’ pork butts, to brisket, to sausage, and even casings to stuff your own. These guys are purveyors of pork, barterers of beef, chuckers of chicken and titans of turkey. Oh, and they have lamb and some fish, too.
Prices are pretty reasonable, but you do a pay a little more on some things. In my humble opinion, it’s worth it to buy local and to buy from people who know their stuff. Who care about their customers. Who take pride in their trimmed cuts and who can work with you to get you exactly what you need.
Don’t forget they also have a sammich shop there, so it’s a good place to stop for a bite. Grab some meat on the way out and you’ve got lunch and dinner taken care of.
