Sugar House Locksman

SCAM ALERT
I would five them 0 stars if I could.
I locked my keys in my car (like a dummy) and this place showed up in my Google search. Being new to the Salt Lake Area, I was just bait for them. I should have called Action or Glens.
This place quoted me a nice $ 40 to get my keys out of the car and told me it would take about 30 minutes. Not bad, or so it seemed. About 45 minutes later, an unmarked car pulled up — first red flag — with a child in a car seat in the backseat — second red flag.
He got my keys out in, no kidding — 30 seconds and then said, «that’ll be $ 40». He went back to his car, swiped my card, and brought me a shoddy printed out receipt that I notice, after the fact, had not total printed on it, and I was not paying attention, so I signed it. He went back to the car, and brought me a copy of the receipt which he had filled in $ 120 as the total.
When I called to ask why I was overcharged so much, I was hung up on, given no information. Luckily, my insurance was able to cover me this time, but STAY AWAY. Call Action or Glen’s.

We thought this would be a good locksmith since we were in the area. The lady that answered when I called was not very nice, she told me it would be 15 to 30 mins until the technician arrived. She was very vague about the price and didn’t get detailed information from me. The locksmith didn’t even know the area, even though we were in Sugarhouse and the business is called Sugar House Locksmith. They didn’t arrive until 1 hour later, twice the time they told us, the tech barely spoke English, I had to call multiple times to see where the tech was, the leather in my car was slightly damaged, and then they charged us $ 125. Not worth the time and hassle! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!

I thought this would be a convenient locksmith, since it was in the area I needed. I called and they weren’t able to tell me if they could do my lock. They called back and said they could, and scheduled a time. I should have been tipped off when they forgot to ask for my address! I waited for an hour after the allotted time, and they never showed up or called. I should have saved myself some time and looked at the well-​rated locksmith on Unilocal (and so should you!)
