The staff was not friendly at all. The place isn’t very clean and I watched the people rolling sushi pick up the phone, take an order(on the cutting board) and not wash their hands. I had already ordered(a cooked roll thank god) and my partner had ordered vegetarian so took our food. Nothing was labeled well so we weren’t sure which was which. I ate part of my roll and then threw the rest away. It was not delicious. It wasn’t even good. After mentioning at work(I work in food), the staff all said in independent statements, «that place is the worst». There you go.

Sushi burritos = the convenient and fast food version of a Japanese favorite(without the fast food unhealthiness!) Great place to get food if you’re on the go or just to take home when you don’t want to deal with washing any dishes or throwing a bunch of trash and having that«leftover» smell linger in your house.(Because let’s be honest, a big advantage to eating out is so that you don’t have to deal with any clean up afterwards.) I ordered the hamachi sushi burrito(which comes with yellowtail), and if you want sashimi with subtle flavor but buttery texture, I recommend it! I thought these were really easy to eat because they’re well wrapped. However, if you want more flavor or spice you will have to deal with dunking it in shiracha or soy sauce, making it not so «on the go» friendly. This restaurant is small, and the parking lot is tiny so be sure to come in between peak hours. It makes for a much more pleasant experience! The have a variety of menu items, and the quality of the sashimi more than justified the reasonable price!

My first time at Sushi Burrito was a good experience, and worthy of 4 stars for concept and bang for your buck. The quality of the fish was good, and the amount was a great value. If you get the rice-less Geisha, it’s gonna fall apart and not be the easiest burrito to eat. The flavors were good though, and I didn’t mind eating it little by little with chopsticks. The Cosmo stayed together nicely, and you’ll get a different taste with each bite. Not bad at all.

Sushi Burrito is good if you order the right thing. I love regular sushi with raw fish and don’t have many boundaries when it comes to what I will not try on it. Sushi Burrito is a different story… I do not order any of the items that contain the raw fish, reason being that the chunks of fish are far too large! Literally biting into a thick ass piece of raw fish(which is not my thing) If the pieces were thinly sliced and scattered throughout the burrito I would be a fan but I can’t get passed the big mush bite. I do really enjoy the Shrimp Lover Burrito, it contains tempura shrimp and is something I crave often! I come here about once a month and will continue to do so! *Be sure to get a side of eel sauce to dip your burrito in*

Decided to try this place since I do like sushi, and was intrigued by the whole sushi+burrito concept. The food was fine, in taste, freshness and appearance. My only complaint was that the burrito should be wrapped in two layers of nori so that it won’t fall apart as easily as it did. Because of this, it turned really messy and was no longer a burrito, but rather a pile of stuff on my plate. Also, it would have been nice if they wrapped the ends like how burritos are folded over, as compared to open ended like a sushi. Again, this just facilitated the ingredients to fall out and make a mess. In the end, it was just an oversized sushi/handroll that was uncut.

Three friends recommended this spot for dinner. I loved it! I can’t believe that someone figured to take a sushi roll and make it into a big old burrito. It was delicious and it was filling. I had mine with a side salad. I enjoyed the crispiness of the shrimp in my shrimp lovers burrito. The flavors of the veggies inside with the sauce went really well together. I can even say that I had fun eating this ginormous seaweed wrapped awesomeness!

Self explanatory, a sushi roll shaped into a burrito. Instead of individual slices one huge burrito. The Katsu box not the best. Neither were the won tongs, then again if at a sushi spot order sushi. Potstickers were good but the Geisha roll amazingly good small little spot inside. One long bar table along the wall with window.

I went there with 2 others yesterday and we sat in the back corner for a little while since we were having a «lunch meeting» of sorts. Unfortunately, I observed mice running around between the door to the bathroom and the door to the kitchen. Perhaps this observation influenced my enjoyment of the sushi burrito(I ate it after I saw the first mouse, I have been living in NYC for a while so it did not particularly phase me), but I also found the burrito(I had the main one from the menu, the one at the top of the sushi burritos column) bland.

I have heard so much about this place and always wanted to try it out. So on Monday my friend and I decide to give it a go. Let me tell you that this place isn’t a disappointment at all. TOTALLYWORTHIT!!! The only thing you need to be aware of is that their personal parking isn’t that much but street parking is available. Also their indoor dinning area isn’t that big. But if you go on a day like I did parking and seating isn’t a problem. I ordered the salmon bomb and squid salad. they were both yummy, but the squid salad was a bit too vinegary for me. The salmon bomb was super delicious but I was a bit disappointed because I thought the salmon was raw, but it was cooked. Each bite also had a yummy piece of bacon. My friend ordered the hamachi burrito and the gyoza. The gyoza was yummy and very crunch. It was definitely deep fried and not pan friend like other places. The hamachi burrito was super yummy. The fish tasted fresh also. I totally recommend this place. The idea of sushi being a burrito is unique and the way they make it is yummy and filling.

I usually get the citrus since I really like raw salmon and the combination of flavors in the burrito, but I decided to try something new today. I got the shrimp lover. It wasn’t as spicy was I wanted it to be, so I had to add sriracha on it. Also there was a disproportionate ratio of rice to all the other ingredients in the burrito. There was only a few bites where I got the shrimp tempura, so I felt like there was too much rice. Parking can be a little bit tough during the busier hours, so you may have to find parking on the street. The place is also very tiny, so if you have a big group or plan on eating there, it may be better to come during the off hours. Even though the quality has gone down since they’ve opened and the burrito has gotten smaller, it’s one of the better tasting sushi in the valley that is at an affordable price.

I cannot overemphasize my enthusiasm about Sushi Burrito. It’s a roll of sushi the size of a freaking burrito. There is nothing better than the 3 to 5 minutes that elapse between the beginning of the Sushi Burrito and the end of the Sushi Burrito. It is bliss. (I recommend the Citrus!)

The name of the restaurant initially weirded me out a bit; however, once I understood what a sushi burrito is, I was all over it. A sushi burrito is basically a giant sushi roll wrapped in seaweed, burrito style. Love it!!! The sushi burrito is delicious, prices are reasonable, and the menu has good variety. I’m taking off one star because the staff wasn’t exactly happy to see me 15 minutes before closing, and it was kinda buzz kill for the date I’d brought along.

I LOVED the concept of a sushi burrito before actually trying it. It was hard to eat and was spilling all over the place. The awkward size and not being cut made it very difficult to eat. I orded the geisha which was rice less with a combo of fish and veggies. There were bites that I took that the whole piece of fish would come out where as other bites there was no fish. They gave me a wise of Wasabi looking paste and ginger but I was unsure how to even dip the awkward size into the tiny container. The fish didn’t taste fresh bit maybe that’s my fault for ordering it to go then not eating it for 20 minutes. Sushi is one of my favorite foods and this concept just ruined it for me. Should’ve stuck with regular sushi. As always, I’m willing to try places more than once, but if I do go again it won’t be my choice. It’ll have to be with someone who wants to go. I also ordered the fried cream cheese. There was not enough cream cheese to wonton paper ratio but it tasted fine.

Sushirrito… a fun and convenient way to enjoy what we have been consuming one small yummy morsels at time. Sometimes I question if the sushi burrito originated from Texas rather than the west coast. I mean, everything is bigger there right? As you can see from past reviews, not everyone finds the concept of a giant roll you can double fist to be appetizing. And really, that’s all there is to it. You can still get some flavor combinations that can hit all your taste buds — only in a giant from. My only complaint about the rolls here is the lack of sauce. Or should I say, sauce to rice ratio. Maybe they mean for people to use soy sauce instead of having to add more chef’s sauce to each roll. The same goes for the tempura. The dipping sauce was actually broth and not the soy ginger. Our rolls were very tightly packaged and easy to eat. The wait time seemed reasonable for what we ordered.

I like this place a lot. It is very tiny but that adds to the intimacy and the food is made right in front of you, plus there is plenty of seating outside. It’s unique, maybe that’s why I like it. You sit on top of each other inside for sure but that’s not a bad thing. It’s well ventilated and people eat quickly. I got the vegas burrito and it was absolutely fabulous. I will order it again. I also got a couple of veggie rolls and they were good too.

Warning the pictures don’t quite capture how tiny this place is. I was not prepared for the size and when we ordered it was pretty busy we place our order and then stood against the wall until it was done. Luckily for us a few spots opened up right as our burritos were finished. I ordered the Citric burrito and boy was it good. I generally complain when I get regular rolls that are too large and fall apart but this was different. Since it’s a whole burrito and not slices of a roll it stayed together great. The lemon slices with the salmon was fantastic, a real nice fresh flavor. Wasn’t too much rice so you really get a good sushi filling. I will most definitely be back again… and again.

I was really excited about the concept of this. Everything was high quality and delicious and of course, a great price. The potstickers were good, but I struggled with my sushi burrito. I got something with salmon and it was just a little too much raw salmon for me. I think if I go again, I’ll probably get something without fish because it’s tricky to handle that much at a time.

Craving sushi but don’t want to spend a ton of money? Then this is the place for you. Sushi rolls the size of burritos! This place is a small spot that seems to have a bit of traffic. Every burrito is under $ 10 which makes this place super affordable. They have other things too such as miso soup and seaweed salad so you don’t have to get a burrito if you don’t want to. I tried the typhoon and it was delicious. I wish there was more choices on the burritos variety. Or they should do a «build your own burrito» type of thing. All in all I will definitely be coming back!

After our obsession with sushi burrito in LA, we had to try this place out when we went to Salt Lake City. I knew it wouldn’t be the same but we decided to give it a go anyway. It’s more a giant sushi roll than a sushi burrito. The multiple Unilocal complaints of it falling apart can attest to that. The top and bottom are not closed off at all so by the end of your eating romp, nothing can catch/hold the contents of your roll. Since many of their rolls have sauce, the seaweed does get chewy like some say. We’ve tried the upgrade of «soypaper» for an extra dollar. It’s a nice alternative to the chewy seaweed and holds a tad better. Our favorite was the riceless Geisha roll. The Shrimp lover roll was severely lacking in shrimp content and shrimp flavoring. We also tried the Citrus and the Hamachi which were ok.

The concept of sushi wrapped inside of giant rice roll shaped like a burrito had been a popular trend started in California, and so far they are the only one that does it in Utah. Whether they do it right or not, there really is not anything to compare them with locally being the only one. I would still avoid peak hours here, since the lines are still long here and can extend to the outside of the front door at times, and they do not have much dining space during winter hours. I believe they extended their hours to later since they opened. After eating here many times with friends and family, sometime unwillingly, and I think have a fair assessment of this place by now. For any burrito rolls you order, they can make it spicy for you. For the fish ones, I like the Hamachi the best, Geisha is not bad if you want to cut down on carb. They also got fried rolls with different meats inside beside fish like their Katsu Roll. Usually I am not a big fan of rolls with cream cheese inside, but when deep fried inside of a giant rice burrito roll, such as Fried California, it produced a nice creaminess texture to the roll like Fried Cheese Wonton you get from Chinese restaurants. Sushi Burrito is the only one in town that does this particular Japanese-Mexican fusion cuisine, and it is always nice when a restaurant willing to step outside of their comfort zone and make a bold first attempt to bring something new to Utah. It goes back to the poke or authentic Chinese restaurant story, surely there are better quality somewhere few hundred miles away, but here in Utah, it is as good as it gets right now.
